In this episode, it is with great sadness that the Joshes and Jameson announce the conclusion of the Both& podcast. Though we love Both& very much (and we had exciting plans to develop a second season!), we must set it aside for now and move on to other things. We briefly explain why this is the case but then move on to our final topic: Space! We discuss how we feel about space, whether or not we should explore space, lots of random space facts, and what our posture as humans should ultimately be towards the universe we find ourselves in. Interestingly, this recording is not the original version of episode 20. Initially (about a month ago), we recorded a different version in which we announced the conclusion of Season 1 and the beginning of Season 2. We also went on to record Season 2 episodes 1 and 2, both of which turned out pretty well. That was all before we changed our minds and decided that it was time to set Both& aside. But because we love you, our listeners, we have decided to release all of these recordings as bonus episodes! Stay tuned for their release throughout the coming weeks. This week Guthrie and Jameson find themselves sans Edgren. We decide to discuss the Both& podcast: how we started, what we have learned, and where perhaps we might be going. Along the way, we talk about a common theme that seems to keep popping up: curiosity.

This week the Joshes and Jameson suddenly find themselves in deep waters (surrounded by sharks!) as they attempt to dive back into the subject of strategy board games. We discuss competition and how it relates to human nature, the effect that games can and do have upon us at a deeper level, and the importance of rest and play in a world obsessed with work and productivity. We also discover that on the spectrum between passive consuming and active creating there is a third something. We're still not sure what to call it, but it is closely related to board games and our love of creativity, curiosity, and discovery on the Both& podcast.
