In this deeply personal and powerful episode, Morgan kicks off 2026 by sharing her Word of the Year: Embodiment and what it truly means to live, choose, and be the energy you say you want. After a brutal end to 2025, a cross-country road trip, illness, anxiety, and a Super Full Moon in Cancer that cracked everything wide open, Morgan found herself stripped down to the core. What emerged wasn't just clarity, but a call to stop knowing and start being. This episode explores embodiment not as a buzzword, but as a lived, daily practice that touches your magick, your body, your business, your boundaries, and your future self. In this episode, Morgan covers: What embodiment actually means in a magickal and real-world sense How anxiety, panic attacks, and imposter syndrome pulled her back into her body The Super Full Moon in Cancer meltdown that revealed what needed to change The five embodied actions she took immediately to reset her life and business Setting boundaries in sacred spaces and calling in the right people Why embodiment requires honesty, even when it's uncomfortable How to embody your future self through daily, mundane decisions Releasing people-pleasing and finally taking up space in business This episode is an invitation to stop circling who you might become and start living as who you already are underneath the noise. The Four Tenets of Witchcraft To Know, To Will, To Dare, and To Keep Silent — are often treated like ancient law, but they're not. In this episode, we explore the origins of these ideas, their introduction into modern witchcraft, and why they were intended to serve as guiding principles rather than rigid rules. A grounded look at philosophy, history, and how these tenets function in real practice today.

Today we're talking about Gerald Gardner, why he's called the father of modern Wicca, and how a prescription for nudism somehow became part of the origin story. Along the way we sort out a big misconception, why Wicca isn't the same thing as witchcraft, and how witchcraft existed long before Wicca ever had a name.We dig into the timeline, Gardner's rise in the 1950s after the repeal of Britain's Witchcraft Act, his public “yep, I'm a witch” moment, and the way figures like Doreen Valiente helped shape (and challenge) what Wicca became. Then we get into the messy bits, such as questionable credentials, borrowed material, rigid hierarchy, secrecy, gender roles, and why some of this still echoes in modern “love and light” spirituality. Finally, we unpack the Wiccan ethics everyone argues about online, from the Wiccan Rede (“harm none”) to the Threefold Law, including why it's often treated like karma… and why that comparison falls apart when you look at karma's actual roots.Join our Patreon for bonus episodes, magical downloads, and unhinged side quests: https://www.patreon.com/demystifymagicPre-order Molly's book Mundane Magic A Lazy Witch's Guide to Hacking Your Brain, Building a Daily Practice, and Getting Stuff DonePreorder Mundane Magic & Join the Virtual Book Tour: Celebrate the release of Molly's new book with an exclusive online event on Feb 21, 12 PM EST. Witchfinder General, Salem, Malleus Maleficarum. The world of witch-hunts and witch trials sounds archaic and fanciful, these terms relics of an unenlightened, brutal age. However, we often hear ‘witch-hunt' in today's media, and the misogyny that shaped witch trials is all too familiar. Three women were prosecuted under a version of the 1735 Witchcraft Act as recently as 2018. In Witchcraft: A History in Thirteen Trials (Simon & Schuster, 2023), Professor Marion Gibson uses thirteen significant trials to tell the global history of witchcraft and witch-hunts. As well as exploring the origins of witch-hunts through some of the most famous trials from the Middle Ages to the eighteenth century, it takes us in new and surprising directions. It shows us how witchcraft was reimagined by lawyers and radical historians in France, how suspicions of sorcery led to murder in Jazz Age Pennsylvania, the effects of colonialism and Christian missionary zeal on ‘witches' in Africa, and how even today a witch trial can come in many guises. Professor Gibson also tells the stories of the ‘witches' – mostly women like Helena Scheuberin, Anny Sampson and Joan Wright, whose stories have too often been overshadowed by those of the powerful men, such as King James I and ‘Witchfinder General' Matthew Hopkins, who hounded them. Once a tool invented by demonologists to hurt and silence their enemies, witch trials have been twisted and transformed over the course of history and the lines between witch and witch-hunter blurred. For the fortunate, a witch-hunt is just a metaphor, but, as this book makes clear, witches are truly still on trial. This interview was conducted by Dr. Miranda Melcher whose doctoral work focused on post-conflict military integration, understanding treaty negotiation and implementation in civil war contexts, with qualitative analysis of the Angolan and Mozambican civil wars. Send us a textIn this episode of The Coven of Awesomeness Podcast, we're starting with Witchy Wisdom. We're answering a listener's questions about what to do with the stuff from your spell when the spell is finished. Episode: 2834 Wombs and Witchcraft: Edward Jorden's Suffocation of the Mother (1603). Today, wombs and witchcraft.
On this episode, Scarlet and Blackbird feel like it's been awhile since you've been given a good series from them, so hey, they are DOING IT! Scarlet's fever brain has come up with a glorious concoction of "what ifs" this week, and just in time for the holiday food coma you will be enjoying. The witches discuss what a card would look like in between these two major arcana characters...a little bit of mystery, a little bit of abundance, but the possibilities are really fun to consider. So please, wear all your new clothes so the Icelandic Christmas Monster Cat does not eat you, but also, pull up next to the fire and listen! Hope the new year finds us all well and safe.
Witchcraft and witches throughout history have long captured the imagination, yet hidden away in archives are records of long forgotten cases. Many of these are tragic, some are unusual – perhaps even inexplicable – but all are fascinating in their own right. Devon's Forgotten Witches 1860–1910 (The History Press, 2025) by Mark Norman and Tracey Norman takes a deep dive through these records, bringing to the surface accusations of witchcraft in the county that have languished, unacknowledged, in the British Newspaper Archive for decades. These are the stories of ordinary people whose lives were touched in some way by witchcraft. Tracey Norman and Mark Norman examine these cases within their historical context, pulling together details from various news reports to explore what might really have happened. This work provides an intriguing snapshot of press coverage in the Victorian and Edwardian eras, showing how the public were urged to view those who still put their faith in ‘incredible superstition'. Most importantly, the retelling of these stories gives a new voice to those whom the historical record has silenced. This interview was conducted by Dr. Miranda Melcher whose book focuses on post-conflict military integration, understanding treaty negotiation and implementation in civil war contexts, with qualitative analysis of the Angolan and Mozambican civil wars. Happy Yule!In this insightful conversation, I sat down with Rufus Harrington, a psychologist and long-standing practitioner of the craft, who currently serves as a trustee for the Doreen Valiente Foundation. This interview traces the life and spiritual impact of the woman widely known as the "Mother of Modern Witchcraft." We begin by exploring Rufus's own journey into Wicca and how his professional background in psychology provides a unique lens through which he views the evolution of the pagan community. The Heart of the Conversation: Who was Doreen Valiente? We dive into a biography of this pivotal figure, moving beyond her titles to understand her as a poet, a researcher, and a spiritual revolutionary. The Gardnerian Connection: Rufus distinguishes Valiente's contributions from those of her contemporary, Gerald Gardner, highlighting how her poetic voice and ethical framework shaped the Craft as we know it today. The Foundation's Mission: Rufus discusses the vital work of preserving sacred artifacts, rare writings, and the personal legacy of a woman who sought to bring the magic of the old world into the modern era.Spirituality in Practice: From the "Charge of the Goddess" to her scholarly research, we discuss the enduring resonance of Valiente's work and why it remains "alive" for practitioners in the 21st century.Whether you are a long-time practitioner or simply curious about the history of modern spirituality, this interview offers a deep dive into the stewardship of a legacy. Turning Point USA is arguably the most-powerful vote-getting operation in America, having played an instrumental role in the reelection of Donald Trump. This year for AmFest 2025, they drew tens of thousands of ‘true believers' in the church of Charlie Kirk, and what did they see when they got there? They had a front row seat to a legitimate end times circus, including a replica of the tent where Charlie Kirk was assassinated that also functioned as a selfie station for his most ardent disciples.“This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.” 2 Timothy 3:1 (KJB)On this episode of the Prophecy News Podcast, whatever Turning Point USA was under the leadership of Charlie Kirk it's not anymore, as literally everyone is scrambling for control, money, power and their slice of the hundred million dollar+ empire that is TPUSA. The “grieving widow” looks like she is having the time of her life dressed all in gold and taking the stage in what looks like an MTV music video (if you're old enough to remember what that is). In fact, she's already working to select the next president, and her choice appears to be her very close friend, JD Vance. But all those things are mere child's play compared to the witchcraft and demonism we found while observing the festivities in an event trumpeting the “Christian foundation” of America. Not all is as it seems, and on this episode, you'll be shocked at everything taking place inside the House of Kirk.

Today I'm joined by Catherine for a chat about rediscovering magick, trusting intuition, and allowing creativity to unfold without pressure. I hope you enjoy it!In this episode we explore:1. Reclaiming magick later in lifeCatherine shares her experience of returning to magick after years away. Once deeply connected as a child, she describes how religion and relationships pulled her off that path, and how she now feels a clear calling to reclaim her inherent magick. Not as something new, but as something remembered.2. “Everybody is inherently magickal”Rebecca reframes the idea of being a “newbie witch,” emphasising that magick is not earned or bestowed but reclaimed. This conversation gently dismantles the idea that witchcraft requires lineage, expertise, or perfection, and instead centres embodiment, relationship, and presence.3. Divination as humanity's oldest language of meaningTogether they trace divination far beyond tarot and oracle cards, exploring how humans have always sought meaning. From birds, bones, smoke, stars, and entrails, to modern medicine and prediction-based science, divination is revealed as our instinctive way of making sense of uncertainty.4. Trusting the body after a lifetime of being taught not toThe conversation turns to how many of us were taught, as children, to override hunger, tiredness, discomfort, and intuition. Divination and ritual become ways of gently relearning self-trust and restoring a relationship with the body's wisdom.5. Ritual and relationship From cleansing cards to asking permission before taking a deer bone, Catherine and Rebecca speak about reverence rather than rules. Cards, crystals, bones, and objects are framed not as tools to control outcomes, but as allies we build relationships with over time.6. Slowness as a magickal actCatherine reflects on learning to go slowly in this phase of her life. Gathering objects, thrifting intuitively, nesting into her practice, and allowing curiosity to lead rather than goals. Rebecca affirms that magick has no end point, no checklist, and no finish line.7. Art as spellwork and becomingArt emerges as a central theme. Catherine shares how returning to painting after decades away has become part of her magickal rediscovery. Painting over old work, starting again, and allowing the process to lead mirrors her wider journey of becoming. Rebecca reflects on art as knowledge created through making, not output.8. Noticing as everyday magickFrom winter roses and unexpected tomatoes in December, to robins, daffodils, chalk pits, ancient skull sites, and dandelions breaking through concrete, this episode celebrates noticing as one of the most powerful magickal practices we have.9. Kindness, boundaries, and transmuting angerThe conversation closes with reflections on love, justice, protest magick, and discernment. Witchcraft is named as a path that does not deny anger or grief, but gives us ways to transmute them into action, boundaries, care, and change. This episode is for you if you:feel called back to magick after time awayare learning to trust themselves againfeel overwhelmed by noise, content, and certainty cultureare rediscovering creativity again in your lifewant magick without pressure, hierarchy, or performancebelieve slowness, noticing, and kindness are radical actsJoin us for a conversation that invites you to exhale, to soften, and to remember that you do not need to know where you're going to walk a magickal path.-- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- --All of the Magick:The A Pinch of Magick App:IPhone - download on the App StoreAndroid - download pn the Google PlayOur (free) magickal Community: Facebook GroupMagickal JournalsExplore on Amazon Rebecca's Author PageWebsiteRebeccaAnuwen.comMagickalHabits.comInstagramFor Magick: Click hereFor a Sacred Pause in Nature: Click hereFor CharmCasting: Click hereFor Merlin, my Dog: Click here

Welcome, my dark souls! In this haunting chapter of Unholy December, we uncover the chilling possession outbreaks that swept through convents in France, Spain, and Italy during the 17th century. From violent public exorcisms to quiet nocturnal terrors, these cases reveal how fear, faith, and control shaped the lives of cloistered women across Europe. Drawing from diaries, trial records, and centuries of historical analysis, this episode exposes the obscure boundary between mysticism, trauma, and the supernatural. A deep, unsettling journey into the archives where some of history's darkest whispers have been waiting. *Listener Discretion is Advised*****************Sources & References:Aldous Huxley, The Devils of Loudun (1952).Michel de Certeau, The Possession at Loudun (1970).Nancy Caciola, Discerning Spirits: Divine and Demonic Possession in the Middle Ages (2003).Edward Peters, The Magician, the Witch, and the Law (1978).John D. A young couple in Denver thought they were simply buying their first home — a modest 1950s ranch with a big yard, a friendly layout, and a long history belonging to only one elderly family. But the moment they began remodeling the basement, the house revealed what the previous owners had quietly left behind. Buried deep in the foundation, they found a polished wooden stick wrapped in green and yellow tassels — an Irish chalet hidden exactly where no one should have ever reached it. And once it was disturbed, nothing in the house felt normal again. Her husband became fixated on the basement, refusing to come upstairs. His personality shifted. His dreams turned violent. And when they uncovered old glass jars sealed into the ceiling — jars filled with nails, hair, and strange liquids — the pieces began forming a shape she didn't want to recognize. Was this Irish folklore? Witchcraft? A curse? Or something darker using the objects these strangers left behind? #realghoststories #hauntedhouse #witchjars #paranormalactivity #irishfolklore #demonicattachment #hauntedbasement #trueghoststory #creepyhome #darkpresence #unexplained #supernaturalstory #witchcrafthistory #ghostpodcast #realhauntings Love real ghost stories?
