This week on the pod Jon and Allie sit down with President and Co-Founder of DFND Technologies and serial entrepreneur Stephen Burnett and ask him what it takes to build a successful business.Stephen Burnett is an entrepreneur who chooses to let his actions speak for themself, here are some of his accomplishments-He started Intensity Athletics and after 4 years sold it to Soffe.-Started American clothing co. It was a production/manufacturing company manufactured for Adidas, Oakley, Burton, and Vans and sold the company after 10 years. -Advisor for Paul Frank and was brought in to fix the company operationally and financially. After restructuring the company and licensing out the brand, he was able to create more profit and lower expenses which led to selling Paul Frank to Sabon industries for $50M-Burnett founded Hax, a premium sports and training facility in Hawthorne from an old 60 square foot airport hanger. Sold the building to Telsa after 3 years.-Currently, Burnett is the President of DFND which manufactures compression, training gear, and fire-resistant clothing whose customers include US military, NBA, NFL, 160 colleges, and fire departments.
