When looking at the way designs are created in the widest category of things, you have to ask— Are we Designing or are we Trending? What is more important in Virtual Life. In this podcast, I run through just a breakdown of the title through definitions from my perspective as Designer Soup Studio. Gesturing my vague memory correlation of using statistics, pValues, and linear regression analysis while generally defining Design, Conformity, Conventional, and Virtual as individual components. Then I utilize their antonyms to see the other side of the perspective that is being looked at. An interesting conversation. Hope you all enjoy it; let me know your thoughts in the end. Are we designing or are we trending? IG: @designersoup

We are super excited to have our very first guest speaker on the podcast, John Henry Sisk owner of John Henry, LLC a Residential Construction Firm out of Washington, DC. After having a few virtual conversations with JH it was totally apparent to me that he is truly forward thinking in terms of residential living and the American row home in DC. I nickname him the Diamond of DC because he pushes himself through design discovery and pressurizes a ton of knowledge, that once you get into conversation with him, it shines like a diamond!
Describing our design studio's mantra, how it works and how it was decided on.
Un-teaching yourself so that you can teach others. On this podcast, Amanda and Bryan discuss being very pure in communication within your own profession. Then, needing to craft that language into a communication that can to be put simply for someone, or in Layman's Terms. We discuss many points that, of course, always tie back into design in some way. Listen in and hear what we have to say!
