Brandi Moncrief & Nicole Crowder
Listen in on this special Mother's Day episode as Brandi & Nicole share fond memories of their mothers, from admiration to the many lessons learned... this one may get a little emotional. Let's Talk About It!
//Boundaries//: something that indicates or fixes a limit or extent (as defined by Merriam-Webster)Set 'em. Cross 'em. Love 'em. Hate 'em. Whatever you do, let's talk about it! We believe that setting boundaries is a very important part of self-care... when set, adhered to, and respected by yourself and others. Setting boundaries looks different for everyone. A person with healthy boundaries can say “no” to others when they want to, but they are also comfortable opening themselves up to intimacy and close relationships. A person who always keeps others at a distance (whether emotionally, physically, or otherwise) is said to have rigid boundaries. Alternatively, someone who tends to get too involved with others has porous boundaries. Listen in as Brandi and Nicole share their personal experiences setting boundaries, adhering to them, and adjusting them based on relationship/setting.
Let's talk about confidence. Do you consider yourself a confident woman? If we had to give an honest answer, the answer is no. Oftentimes, we have more confidence at work than in social settings. According to Harvard Business Review, imposter syndrome disproportionately affects high-achieving people, who find it difficult to accept their accomplishments. Many question whether they're deserving of accolades.Even if women demonstrate strength, ambition, and resilience, our daily battles with microaggressions and assumptions formed by stereotypes, often push us down. Let's Talk About It!
Let's talk about mental health...not an easy topic but definitely necessary. It looks different for all of us, but we all deserve to be loved, seen, and cared for. Join us as we share our experiences with loneliness, depression, and therapy.
What happens when you're over 35 and single? Are you catapulted into a life of depression and loneliness? Are you constantly fending off family, friends, and strangers who want to help you out of this perceived tragedy? Or are you simply single and satisfied? Let's Talk About It!
Over the past couple of years, we've had so many conversations that started or ended with “What's wrong with everyone? How do things seem to be going from bad to worse? Why can't we all be kinder to one another? What is up with this cancel culture?"Listen as we discuss the need to create space for grace. Space to allow people the opportunity to learn, grow, try, make mistakes, and try again.
Are you overcommitting, unable to find time to rest, unable to take time for yourself? Are there too many priorities and just not enough time for you? Have the answers to these questions changed over the last two years?Join us as we talk about taking the time to rest and take care of yourself!
