There are a lot of issues in the world today, and it is easy to be distracted by them. Injustice, suffering, and pain run rampant in the world, but at the core of it all, there really is only one problem. The only problem that exists in the world today is a sin problem, and the only answer to that problem is the work of Jesus on the cross. The Prosperity Gospel that claims, "come to God because He wants to prosper you," is a false gospel. However, to say that God does not want to prosper those that repent of their sin and put their faith and trust in Jesus Christ is also a false teaching. For the believer who has been born again, it is God's great pleasure to prosper His children. Like anything else in the Kingdom of God, however, it requires faith on our part. The only thing that separates us from a good and holy God is sin. We have all sinned and fallen short of God's glory, and there is only one way to make things right with God; the finished work of Jesus on the cross. We must cling to the cross of Christ as our only hope of salvation. We must repent of our sins and be born again. Otherwise, there is hell to pay.
