1 Cor 3:16-23 In our passage this evening Paul is going to talk about a new temple, but not the kind of temple we might imagine. He's not constructing a physical building. He is building something spiritual. And He invites His people to be a part of it. What requirements does God have for His construction crew as it were? And why is this building so important to Him? We consider those questions as Pastor Andrew resumes his study in the book of First Corinthians.
You are listening to The Postscript, a podcast by The King's Church. This show was created as an extension of our Sunday service, offering additional insights and reflections from our current sermon series. We're glad you're here as we dive deeper into the scriptures together. In this episode, Pastor Andrew and Pastor Ian dive into John 1:14-18. They explore how John's depiction of Jesus as the Word made flesh relates to themes of grace and truth, the tabernacle, and the fullness of divine glory. We hope this conversation helped you reflect more deeply on the scripture!
God's grace is not merely something we receive once for forgiveness. It is the foundation upon which the entire Christian life is built. In Titus 2, Paul reminds us that grace has appeared in Christ, bringing salvation to all kinds of people and establishing a new starting point for life, family, and church. Reform does not begin with pressure, shame, or cultural battles. It begins with grace revealed. Grace is not the reward of godliness. It is the root of it. That same grace actively trains us in the present age. Grace is not passive or permissive. It disciplines, forms, and reshapes our desires, teaching us to renounce ungodliness while learning self-control, uprightness, and godliness. As we wait for our blessed hope, the return of Jesus Christ, grace also reorients our future. We do not live faithfully to earn the future. We live faithfully because the future is already secure. Finally, grace reminds us who we are together. Christ gave Himself to redeem and purify a people for His own possession, a people marked by zeal for good works. The Christian life is not isolated self-improvement but shared identity and shared mission. Rooted in the cross, formed in the present, and anchored in future glory, God's grace shapes how we live now while we wait for what is to come. ________________________________________ Links to Sermon Notes & Answers: ➤Sermon Notes (Blank): https://www.sheridanhills.org/_files/ugd/30fec2_2a24079176834595ab373787685df7b5.pdf ➤Sermon Notes (Answers): https://www.sheridanhills.org/_files/ugd/30fec2_88c0d042213e4380851aab80c8e4da88.pdf ________________________________________ In this video: Review of previous sermons in series Main Points Application ________________________________________ Subscribe to this channel to catch weekly expositional sermons from the Bible. ________________________________________ Explore more sermons and information: https://www.sheridanhills.org/watch-new ________________________________________ Follow us: ➤Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/sheridanhills/ ➤Twitter: https://twitter.com/sheridanhills01 ➤Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/sheridanhills/

Life has a way of becoming noisy, cluttered, and unnecessarily heavy. In his message, You Need Rhythm, Pastor Andrew explores how sustainable rhythms and key spiritual disciplines create a holy levity—bringing clarity, peace, and stability to lives that naturally drift toward complication. When we order our lives around God's rhythms, we discover that faith isn't meant to exhaust us, but to steady us.
Pastor Andrew helps us understand the paradox of life when we choose to follow and prioritize Christ over everything else.
As we step into a new series entitled Cleanse, Pastor Andrew sets the foundation with our anchor verse from Romans 12:2, inviting us to declutter, reset, renew, and renounce old ways—or current habits and practices—that keep us from living fully and joyfully in the ways of Christ. For centuries, God's people lived in a season of watching and waiting, holding onto hope through uncertainty and hardship. On Christmas Eve, we remember that their waiting wasn't in vain. Through ancient prophecy and the birth of Jesus in Bethlehem, we're reminded that the long wait is over. The Savior has arrived, bringing peace, purpose, and hope not just for them, but for us too, right here, right now. Thanks for listening to the Christ Church Mequon Podcast. The Bible is a living instrument placed in our hands. In his message, Good Use, Pastor Andrew explores how the power and usefulness of God's Word are directly connected to the heart, posture, and faith of the person who is wielding it.

In his message, Pastor Andrew emphasizes the significance of not missing Jesus during the Advent season. Drawing from Titus 2:11-15, he explains that Jesus came to save us from our sins, to change our lives, and to prepare us for His second coming. The grace of God offers salvation and training to live uprightly, urging believers to engage deeply with their faith and share the gospel with others. As Christmas approaches, he encourages everyone to intentionally seek Jesus and make this season transformative.
1 Cor 3:12-15 What is God looking for when it comes to our service? Some of us find it very hard to get involved in Christian service while others can't seem to find the time to serve all the ways that they desire. But is it really just about time? What makes God happy with our service? And will He reward us for this work? We consider those questions this week as Pastor Andrew continues his study in 1 Corinthians.

“Growing in Knowing” Series, part 4 — Colossians 1:10 “…that you may walk worthy of the Lord… and increase in the knowledge of God.” In Part 4 of our series, Pastor Andrew brings a deeply encouraging and prophetic message titled “The God Who Is Faithful.” From Deuteronomy 7:9, we are reminded that God is not just loving or holy—He is the faithful God, the covenant-keeping God, the God who stays when others walk away, the God who renews when life has drained you, and the God who finishes what He starts. This message is specifically for the broken, the weary, the rejected, and those who feel like they are running on fumes. If you have felt abandoned, overlooked, unsupported, or spiritually exhausted… God sees you. And He is faithful.

In this message from our 1 Peter series, Pastor Andrew digs into Peter's teaching on submission within marriage. Set in a cultural context where women were often undervalued and objectified, and at times spiritually isolated in marriage, Peter's words offer a radically dignifying and Christ-centered vision for both wives and husbands. Peter calls wives to a posture of courageous, Christlike submission—not inferiority. Just as Jesus willingly submitted to the Father, a wife displays holy strength when her respectful, pure conduct points unbelieving husbands toward the gospel. Her beauty is to flow not from external adornment, (highly prized by Roman culture at the writing of 1 Peter) but from the imperishable beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, precious in God's sight. Peter points to the “holy women who hoped in God,” especially Sarah, whose faith triumphed over fear and whose inner character revealed her true adornment as she lived out true faith toward God in her marriage to Abraham. This passage invites us to resist cultural distortions around gender, beauty, and marriage, and instead embrace God's design. Biblical submission is faith-filled, courage-driven, and rooted in hope—a reflection of Christ's own humility and strength. May our marriages display His glory. ________________________________________ Links to Sermon Notes & Answers: ➤Sermon Notes (Blank): https://www.sheridanhills.org/_files/ugd/30fec2_b8f6ba64811b4a77ac2402a136cad7bc.pdf ➤Sermon Notes (Answers): https://www.sheridanhills.org/_files/ugd/30fec2_ecd40478314d4cef80fa1ebc451201c9.pdf ________________________________________ Subscribe to this channel to catch weekly expositional sermons from the Bible. ________________________________________ Explore more sermons and information: https://www.sheridanhills.org/watch-new ________________________________________ Follow us: ➤Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/sheridanhills/ ➤Twitter: https://twitter.com/sheridanhills01 ➤Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/sheridanhills/
Awe and Wonder: Part 1 - Pastor Andrew DamazioThis week, we start a new series called Awe and Wonder for the month of December as we open the book of Matthew and reflect on the humanity of Jesus through His genealogy—seeing how God brings beauty from broken stories, keeps His promises across generations, and invites us to rest in the good news of what He has already done.Want to connect more with Rose Church? In this message, Pastor Andrew encourages believers to move beyond the commercialized hustle of the season and prioritize the true purpose of Christmas: focusing on the person of Christ. He distinguishes that while the holiday may be cultural, the miracle is biblical, reminding listeners that this is a powerful season to receive the miracle they need. The essential focus is the "spirit in Christmas," emphasizing that the Holy Spirit initiated the miracle of Jesus's birth, causing the Holy One to be born and called the Son of God, as the power of the Highest overshadowed Mary (Luke 1:35). The Holy Spirit also reveals who Jesus truly is, moving the devout Simeon to recognize the child as the Lord's Christ and the salvation prepared for all people (Luke 2:25-30). Ultimately, the Spirit's work makes it possible for us to be reunited to God the Father and be transformed from slaves into sons and heirs of God through Christ (Galatians 4:6-7). This Christmas season, we are challenged to seek "more Christ" and ensure that our hearts reflect the light and glory of the Savior of the world.
