In today's message, Pastor Andrew explores Genesis chapters 40-41, focusing on the theme of waiting and God's purposes in our lives. He emphasizes that seasons of waiting are opportunities to glorify God, and that even when it feels like God is silent, He is actively working behind the scenes. Joseph's journey, filled with trials and hardships, ultimately leads him to a place of power and purpose, reminding us that our struggles can prepare us for future blessings. Pastor Andrew encourages us not to waste our waiting but to seek the Lord and trust that everything will eventually make sense in His timing.

When someone wounds you deeply, how many times are you expected to forgive? Is there a limit to grace when the offense feels unforgivable? In this message, Pastor Andrew examines Jesus' parable of the unforgiving servant in Matthew 18:21–35, showing that those who have received immeasurable mercy must extend that same mercy to others. He confronts the instinct for retaliation and exposes how unforgiveness binds the heart, while forgiveness reflects the compassion of God. Grace, though unnatural to the flesh, is cultivated through dependence upon Christ. Listeners are challenged to release resentment, trust God's justice, and practice forgiveness as an act of obedience, worship, and freedom.Eastland is a Place to BelongEastland Baptist Church is located in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Courage For The Faith | Pastor Andrew Sedra
Pastor Andrew delivers the third sermon in our "Life with Jesus" series!
Because Christ suffered to save us, believers are called to think and live differently. In this passage, Peter moves from Christ's saving suffering to the believer's sanctifying suffering. If Jesus suffered in obedience to the Father, we must “arm ourselves” with that same mindset, choosing God's will over sin, even when it costs us. Peter reminds us that our former life of sinful passions is finished. We don't owe sin another hour. Instead, we now live under a new Master—the will of God. And when we refuse to join the world's patterns, we should expect misunderstanding, rejection, and even hostility. Our holiness will stand out. But we are not left without hope. God is the righteous Judge, and no injustice escapes Him. Though believers may suffer or even die physically, the gospel guarantees eternal life. Just as Christ was put to death in the flesh and made alive in the Spirit, so we share in His pattern of suffering now and glory to come. First Peter 4:1–6 calls Christians to decisive allegiance to Christ, living no longer for human passions, but for the will and glory of God. ________________________________________ Links to Sermon Notes & Answers: ➤Sermon Notes (Blank): https://www.sheridanhills.org/_files/ugd/30fec2_f0a49705cadb439c93dd049de8b4adf3.pdf ➤Sermon Notes (Answers): https://www.sheridanhills.org/_files/ugd/30fec2_fada543e541c48b08ba55b89728545e4.pdf ________________________________________ In this video: Review of previous sermons in series Main Points Application ________________________________________ Subscribe to this channel to catch weekly expositional sermons from the Bible. ________________________________________ Explore more sermons and information: https://www.sheridanhills.org/watch-new ________________________________________ Follow us: ➤Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/sheridanhills/ ➤Twitter: https://twitter.com/sheridanhills01 ➤Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/sheridanhills/

In this message, Pastor Andrew explores the tension between certainty and faith. We often wait for clear answers before we move—but certainty is a floor we may spend our whole lives trying to touch. Faith is choosing to trust God even when that floor isn't there. At Some Point You Have to Go invites us to move forward—not because we have every answer, but because God is trustworthy.
In this message, Pastor Andrew finishes off the "Loved" series, teaching that we cannot truly love others until we first learn to receive and abide in the Father's love (John 15:9). He highlights that while the entire Bible is a love story of a Father giving to His family (John 3:16), the Holy Spirit is the one who supplies the power to love, pouring God's abundance into our hearts until it overflows (Romans 5:5). Using the unique metaphor of a multi-bit screwdriver, Pastor Andrew demonstrates how Jesus applies love differently to meet specific needs: offering validation and satisfaction to the woman at the well (John 4), providing joyful acceptance to Zacchaeus (Luke 19), bringing authoritative deliverance to the demoniac (Mark 5), and showing profound empathy through tears to a grieving family (John 11:35). Listeners are challenged to move beyond mere information to divine instruction, fulfilling the command to love one another just as Christ has loved us (John 13:34-35), knowing that as we stay in the "circle" of His love, it will naturally transform both us and everyone we encounter.

Pastor Andrew's message from Genesis 39:1-23 emphasizes the importance of remaining steadfast in faith when facing temptation and injustice. Through Joseph's story, he illustrates how maintaining integrity and righteousness before God matters even when we're wronged—Joseph stayed faithful despite being unjustly imprisoned. Andrew encourages students to trust in God's presence and support one another through life's challenges, reminding them that God remains with us in our darkest moments, just as He was with Joseph in prison.
1 Cor 5:1–8 When does sin become worthy of church discipline? And what exactly is church discipline? This week we consider the serious nature of sin in the nature and how the church should respond to it as Pastor Andrew continues his study in 1 Corinthians.

Pastor Andrew preaches through the Bible's clear teaching on church leadership, showing that Scripture establishes two offices in the local church: Pastors (also called elders or overseers) and Deacons. Though often treated as separate roles today, the Bible uses the terms pastor, elder, and overseer interchangeably to describe one shepherding office responsible for leading, teaching, caring for, and guarding the church. You'll see how pastors are called to govern and teach God's Word, while deacons are appointed as servant-leaders who support the pastors by meeting practical needs, protecting unity, and advancing the mission of the church. Rooted in passages like Acts 6, 1 Timothy 3, Titus 1, and 1 Peter 5, this message clarifies biblical roles, responsibilities, and qualifications—and reminds us that church leadership is God's gift to His people for His glory and the building up of Christ's body. ________________________________________ Links to Sermon Notes & Answers: ➤Sermon Notes (Blank): https://www.sheridanhills.org/_files/ugd/30fec2_a018dcab877d4b3b8a8db9abcb882c71.pdf ➤Sermon Notes (Answers): https://www.sheridanhills.org/_files/ugd/30fec2_d04617a0ebe048aa8cb0bd143e393f81.pdf ________________________________________ In this video: Review of previous sermons in series Main Points Application ________________________________________ Subscribe to this channel to catch weekly expositional sermons from the Bible. ________________________________________ Explore more sermons and information: https://www.sheridanhills.org/watch-new ________________________________________ Follow us: ➤Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/sheridanhills/ ➤Twitter: https://twitter.com/sheridanhills01 ➤Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/sheridanhills/

Pastor Andrew taught from 1 Corinthians 1:26–31 that the gospel intentionally humbles human pride and magnifies God's glory by showing that salvation is not earned by human wisdom, status, or strength, but given by God's gracious calling. He emphasized that believers are chosen not because they are impressive by worldly standards, but so that all boasting is removed and Christ alone is honored as our wisdom, righteousness, sanctification, and redemption. The message calls listeners to abandon self-reliance and fully trust Christ, both for salvation and daily life. #GloryToGod #GraceAlone #ChristOurWisdom #HumbledByTheGospel #TrustInChrist
Those Who Wrestle With God: Part 2 - The Manufactured Blessing - Pastor Andrew DamazioThis week, Pastor Andrew shared a message on trusting God's faithfulness, reminding us that His promises will be fulfilled in His timing, even when we act out of fear or uncertainty.Want to connect more with Rose Church? In this episode, Pastor Andrew invites us into a "leveled up" experience of the Father's love, moving beyond intellectual knowledge to a tangible, life-altering revelation. He emphasizes that God's love is initiated, not earned, reminding us that we do not work for love but instead live from being loved. Grounded in Romans 5:5, which declares that God's love is poured into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, the message outlines how we must first receive God's love before we can accurately reflect it to others, much like the moon reflects the light of the sun. By examining Mark 3:14, Pastor Andrew highlights the importance of being "with" Jesus before being "sent" by Him, shifting our focus from "obedient activity" to our foundational identity as the "beloved". We are challenged to move away from a transactional view of faith and instead abide in His love (John 15:9), recognizing that because He first loved us (1 John 4:19), we are empowered to love even those we disagree with. Ultimately, through the imagery of a "pop test" where Jesus steps in to take the test for us, we are reminded that Christ is the answer to every question and need in our lives, calling us to rest in the truth that He loves us and there is nothing we can do about it.
This week, Pastor Andrew reminds us that God gives us detailed instructions for our lives. We need to pay attention to those instructions. Deuteronomy 4:5-6 5 “Surely I have taught you statutes and judgments, just as the Lord my God commanded me, that you should act according to them in the land which you go to possess. 6 Therefore be careful to observe them; for this is your wisdom and your understanding in the sight of the peoples who will hear all these statutes, and say, ‘Surely this great nation is a wise and understanding people.'
In this message, Pastor Andrew dives into Genesis 37:1-36 to explore the destructive power of envy and hatred. Using the story of Joseph and his brothers, we see how Jacob's favoritism sparked a jealousy that nearly led to murder. Pastor Andrew breaks down how hatred isn't just an action—it's a condition of the heart that, if left unchecked, escalates into destruction.
Those Who Wrestle With God: Part 1 - Pastor Andrew DamazioThis week, Pastor Andrew shared that while we wrestle with many things in the world, God invites us to wrestle with Him about who we truly are. In this powerful and theologically rich passage, Peter reminds suffering believers why they can stand firm without fear. In just five verses, Scripture reveals Christ's substitutionary suffering, victorious resurrection, proclamation over spiritual powers, saving work through judgment, and His exaltation as reigning King. This sermon unpacks how Jesus suffered once for sins to bring us to God, how His death was not defeat but the pathway to resurrection life, and how His victory extends over every authority in heaven and on earth. In it, we also see the connection between Noah's deliverance, baptism, and our union with Christ, showing that salvation comes only through faith in the finished work of Jesus. If you are facing hardship, uncertainty, or opposition, this message points you to the unshakable hope found in the risen and reigning Savior. ________________________________________ Links to Sermon Notes & Answers: ➤Sermon Notes (Blank): https://www.sheridanhills.org/_files/ugd/30fec2_4516ca059ee04c6e90bacafc3418ccfe.pdf ➤Sermon Notes (Answers): https://www.sheridanhills.org/_files/ugd/30fec2_60ab8ad101b94d98a14c45ffc78f58a5.pdf ________________________________________ In this video: Review of previous sermons in series Main Points Application ________________________________________ Subscribe to this channel to catch weekly expositional sermons from the Bible. ________________________________________ Explore more sermons and information: https://www.sheridanhills.org/watch-new ________________________________________ Follow us: ➤Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/sheridanhills/ ➤Twitter: https://twitter.com/sheridanhills01 ➤Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/sheridanhills/

1 Cor 4:6:13 When you came to faith did you think that everything would get better? Christians always seem so happy. Perhaps you wondered if life would just get a little easier. We can have views sometimes that just aren't Biblical if we're being honest. The Corinthian church struggled with that. So, what's the solution? We consider that Pastor Andrew continues his study in the book of 1 Cor.

In this message from 1 Peter 3:13-17, Pastor Andrew Coleman addresses how Christians can live securely when obedience to Christ brings friction rather than favor. Peter teaches believers how to respond when following Jesus provokes hostility, misunderstanding, or outright persecution. This passage offers both comfort and challenge: we belong to Christ and are destined for glory, yet we must learn to suffer well, fear God rather than opponents, and bear witness with hope-filled gentleness. Pastor Coleman walks through five key principles for living faithfully in hostile environments. From understanding that suffering for righteousness is sometimes normal, to redirecting our fear from people to God alone, to maintaining a clear conscience when slandered, this sermon equips believers to stand firm. The central call is to honor Christ as Lord in our hearts and be prepared to explain our hope with gentleness and respect when the world asks why we have peace amid pressure. In this message, Pastor Andrew discusses Genesis 32:22-32, focusing on Jacob's transformative encounter with God as he wrestles alone at the Jabbok River. This significant moment highlights the necessity of personal change before being useful to God. Jacob's journey from deceit to dependence illustrates that true identity is found in surrendering to God. Through this wrestling, Jacob is renamed Israel, symbolizing his new path of striving with God. The message emphasizes that losing oneself to gain a true identity in Christ is essential for spiritual growth and purpose.

When we number our days, we learn to live them on purpose. In a culture that has cast off restraint, Scripture reminds us that the brevity of life calls for intentional living. In his message, “What Only You Can Do,” Pastor Andrew explores how discipline—practical, physical, spiritual, and emotional—is not about earning God's love, but about optimizing the life He's entrusted to us.
