Titus 3:8-11 New King James Version 8 This is a faithful saying, and these things I want you to affirm constantly, that those who have believed in God should be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable to men. 9 But avoid foolish disputes, genealogies, contentions, and strivings about the law; for they are unprofitable and useless. 10 Reject a divisive man after the first and second admonition, 11 knowing that such a person is warped and sinning, being self-condemned.

Why does the stock market keep going up when the economy feels so bad? It’s the question we probably get the most and, quite frankly, it’s not a bad one. The primary reason equities seem invincible is because of the dramatic increase in the money supply over the past four decades. That explains the supply side of the equation at least. But a lot had to happen behind the scenes to allow for the money supply to be absorbed into the financial system and ultimately benefit a fraction of the population. Because Jesus has opened a new and living way by His blood and serves as our great High Priest, believers can draw near to God with bold confidence and full assurance of faith. On the strength of God's proven faithfulness, the church is called to hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering. And as the Day draws near, we must not neglect meeting together, but actively stir one another up to love, good works, and real ministry through encouragement and prayer.

In this sermon, T. R. Kern finishes our series on the three rules of the Christian faith by expositing 2 Timothy 1:13–14, where Paul urges the church to hold fast to the apostolic pattern of sound teaching—the Creed, the Commandments, and the Lord's Prayer—as the God‑given blueprint for a healthy Christian life.Time:EveningMinister:Rev. What if the point of pain wasn't punishment but participation? We open Colossians 1:21–23 and hold the phrase “for your sake” up to the light, letting communion re-teach us who we were, who we are, and what we're becoming. Christ didn't hand us a map; he stepped into our alienation and reconciled us by his own body and blood so we could be presented holy, blameless, and above reproach. That purpose pulls us beyond a “get out of trouble” faith and into a life that matures, serves, and sacrifices with joy.We talk candidly about continuing in the faith—stable, steadfast, and not shifting—and how the real anchor isn't our perfect track record but our stubborn grip on the hope of the gospel. Expect spills. The bike isn't the problem; the rider is learning balance. From confession without hiding to correction without shame, we explore a rhythm of growth that trades coasting for courage. Suffering becomes a classroom where God builds breadth in our love and depth in our character.Along the way, we widen the lens: Paul rejoices in his sufferings “for your sake” and for the sake of the church he may never meet. That's our call too. We reveal the riches of Jesus to neighbors and nations not with spectacle but with steady, sacrificial presence. We also share how we're approaching a capital campaign through prayer, not pressure—inviting everyone to move from convenience to discipline to delight in generosity so we can pay down debt, make room to grow, and serve the community with open hands. The window for sacrifice is brief; glory closes it forever. So let's redeem the moment, hold fast to the gospel, and ride together. From “In the Beginning” to Amen // Faith Under FireJames 1:19 NLT“Understand this, my dear brothers and sisters: You must all be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to get angry.” Be careful who you listen to…Sufferers attract fixers.Set up a filter based in faith and fact before you start listening Hold Fast to Faith… Even in the Silence… Job 13:15 KJV“Even though he slay me, yet will I trust him.” Job 19:23-27 NLT“Oh, that my words could be recorded. Oh, that they could be inscribed on a monument, carved with an iron chisel and filled with lead, engraved forever in the rock. But as for me, I know that my Redeemer lives, and he will stand upon the earth at last. And after my body has decayed, yet in my body I will see God! I will see him for myself. Yes, I will see him with my own eyes. I am overwhelmed at the thought!” What do we have when all we love and value is stripped away? James 5:10-11 NLT“For examples of patience in suffering, dear brothers and sisters, look at the prophets who spoke in the name of the Lord. We give great honor to those who endure under suffering. For instance, you know about Job, a man of great endurance. You can see how the Lord was kind to him at the end, for the Lord is full of tenderness and mercy.” James 1:2-6 NLT“Dear brothers and sisters, when troubles of any kind come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy. For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing. If you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and he will give it to you. He will not rebuke you for asking. But when you ask him, be sure that your faith is in God alone. Do not waver, for a person with divided loyalty is as unsettled as a wave of the sea that is blown and tossed by the wind.”

Hold Fast - You don't Drift by Accident
Building on last week's reminder that God hears our prayers and meets us with comfort, this message from Hebrews 10:19–26 calls believers to live with confidence, conviction, and committed fellowship because of what Jesus has done. Through Christ's sacrifice, a new and living way has been opened. The barrier that once separated humanity from God has been torn down—not by religion or effort, but by the finished work of Jesus. Because of Him, we now have bold access to the presence of God. In this message, Pastor Scott Goodman walks us through three essential exhortations from Hebrews 10:

When Christ died for us, he did not buy the freedom from having to hold fast, but the enabling power to hold fast.
