There are many opinions about who Jesus is. Thankfully, we don't have to wonder. Nor do we don't have to learn about Jesus from someone else. Jesus taught extensively about who He is throughout the book of John using descriptive metaphors and object lessons so that we might know Him. Come hear who Jesus is in His Own Words!

Marriage is not the invention of man; it is the invention of God. The purpose of marriage resides within the purpose and plan of God. Those of you who are married, going to be married or are thinking about it, need to understand, that your marriage is to honor God because it was created by God and for the glory of God. As in all of life, what matters most in marriage is God.

Moses in his account of creation and Jesus in Mark 10 – Make it clear that marriage is the “doing of God.” Mark 10: 6 But from the beginning of creation, ‘God made them male and female.' 7 ‘Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and hold fast to his wife, 8 and the two shall become one flesh.' So they are no longer two but one flesh. 9 What therefore God has joined together, let not man separate.” Paul makes it clear in his letter to the Ephesians that marriage is also the “display of God.” Ephesians 5:31 “Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and hold fast to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh.” 32 This mystery is profound, and I am saying that it refers to Christ and the church. We will look at God's design and intent for marriage this week and next week we will study God's purpose and plan for your marriage.

When asked what is the most important commandment, Jesus said its most important to love God, and love our neighbor (Matt 22:34-40). The Apostle Paul in 1 Cor. 13 dives into how important love is -- we can do amazing things, but without love we've gained nothing! In life we should be more focused on LOVE -- then we've got something!

The story of the woman at the well is a heart-warming example of love, truth, and rebirth. And best of all, not only does Jesus save her, but He saves us, too. He wants us all in His eternal kingdom, if only we, too, will repent and believe.

Are you ready to set your sights on something greater that is coming in your future? When Jesus came 2000 years ago He brought the beginning of the Kingdom of God, and one day soon He will return and we will be in His Kingdom forever! In the meantime as we look out to this Kingdom's future, there are plenty of distractions! The Bible tells us to trust Jesus with our earthly concerns, and set our sights on His glorious Kingdom! Colossians 3:2 - "Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth."
