In Hearing from God: Part 3 – Your Conscience, Pastor Mike Jurek unpacks the role of our conscience as the primary way God guides us from within. Instead of waiting for doors to open or close, we are called to discern the Spirit's quiet prompting and align our lives with His will.Pastor Mike challenges us to recognize the state of our conscience—whether guilty, weak, or hardened—and to let Jesus cleanse and restore it. Through His grace, we gain a renewed conscience that leads us in truth and empowers us to serve God wholeheartedly.#GoodHopeChurch #HearingFromGod #FaithForToday #JesusChangesEverything #SpiritLed #ConscienceSermon Notes: https://link.goodhope.ag/hearing-from-god-3-mjGiving Information: https://goodhope.ag/givingSTAY CONNECTEDYoutube: https://youtube.com/GoodHopeChurchInstagram: http://instagram.com/goodhopemnFacebook: http://fb.com/goodhopemn
In Hearing from God: Part 3 – Your Conscience, Pastor Daniel Stevens explores how God often speaks through the inward witness of our conscience. While outward signs may seem easier, relying on the Spirit's quiet leading builds stronger faith. When our spirit and the Holy Spirit align, we sense God's direction and live with confidence.Pastor Daniel shares how the Bible warns against weak, corrupt, or seared consciences that can mislead us, and shows how Jesus restores our hearts to hear clearly again. Through Him, we are freed to live with integrity and to walk closely with God.#GoodHopeChurch #HearingFromGod #FaithForToday #JesusChangesEverything #WalkInTheSpirit #ConscienceSermon Notes: https://link.goodhope.ag/hearing-from-god-3-dsGiving Information: https://goodhope.ag/givingSTAY CONNECTEDYoutube: https://youtube.com/GoodHopeChurchInstagram: http://instagram.com/goodhopemnFacebook: http://fb.com/goodhopemn
In Hearing from God: Part 3 – Your Conscience, Guest Speaker, Pastor Mike Newcomb teaches how our conscience acts as an inward witness of the Holy Spirit. Unlike seeking constant outward signs, learning to recognize God's still small voice within brings clarity and direction. A conscience aligned with the Spirit transforms us from the inside out, helping us move beyond rules into true relationship.Pastor Mike also explains the dangers of ignoring our conscience—whether it becomes weak, corrupt, or even seared—and how Jesus restores us to a clear conscience so we can walk in freedom and faithfully serve God.#GoodHopeChurch #HearingFromGod #FaithForToday #JesusChangesEverything #HolySpirit #ConscienceGiving Information: https://goodhope.ag/givingSTAY CONNECTEDYoutube: https://youtube.com/GoodHopeChurchInstagram: http://instagram.com/goodhopemnFacebook: http://fb.com/goodhopemn
God is passionate about talking to his people. How do we know what God is saying to us? Can God talk to me, and will I understand? Today, we look at Samuel and discover how God spoke to him and used him.
Pastor Mike Jurek shares that hearing from God is rooted in the Bible, but it flourishes through spiritual discernment. As spiritual beings, we are invited to commune daily with the Holy Spirit who dwells within us. This closeness to God means His thoughts and guidance are never far away. It's up to us to tune in.He also highlights that the deeper things of God are spiritually discerned, not simply figured out with our minds. Growth in the Spirit takes time, nourishment, and practice, much like developing strength or wisdom in life. As we grow, God reveals more of His truth, leading us into a closer walk with Him.#HearingFromGod #Discernment #GoodHopeChurch #PastorMikeJurek #SpiritLed #ChristianFaith #HolySpiritSermon Notes: https://link.goodhope.ag/hearing-from-god-2-mjGiving Information: https://goodhope.ag/givingSTAY CONNECTEDYoutube: https://youtube.com/GoodHopeChurchInstagram: http://instagram.com/goodhopemnFacebook: http://fb.com/goodhopemn
In this teaching, Pastor Daniel Stevens emphasizes that hearing from God requires more than head knowledge. It calls for spiritual discernment. The Bible gives us the foundation, but the Holy Spirit enables us to truly grasp the things of God. We aren't just bodies and minds; we are spirits, and through the Spirit of God, we can draw closer to Him than any human relationship allows.Pastor Daniel reminds us that spiritual truths can't be fully understood with intellect alone. As we grow in our walk with God, our spiritual maturity allows us to receive deeper truths. God speaks to those who are ready to hear, and our job is to keep growing, listening, and discerning His voice.#HearingFromGod #SpiritualGrowth #GoodHopeChurch #PastorDanielStevens #HolySpiritPower #BibleTruth #ChristianLivingSermon Notes: https://link.goodhope.ag/hearing-from-god-2-dsGiving Information: https://goodhope.ag/givingSTAY CONNECTEDYoutube: https://youtube.com/GoodHopeChurchInstagram: http://instagram.com/goodhopemnFacebook: http://fb.com/goodhopemn
Hearing from God begins with Scripture as the foundation, but it doesn't stop there. In this message, Pastor Mike Stevens unpacks the next step: learning spiritual discernment. God created us as spiritual beings, and through the Holy Spirit, we can commune directly with Him. Hearing His voice isn't about straining. It's about recognizing His presence within us.Pastor Mike explains that the things of God are spiritually discerned, not just understood with our minds. As we grow in maturity, our spirits become more capable of receiving what God wants to reveal. Just as a child can't grasp advanced lessons until they grow, we too must nourish and develop our spirits to better understand His voice.#HearingFromGod #SpiritualDiscernment #GoodHopeChurch #PastorMikeStevens #HolySpirit #FaithJourney #BibleTeachingSermon Notes: https://link.goodhope.ag/hearing-from-god-2-msGiving Information: https://goodhope.ag/givingSTAY CONNECTEDYoutube: https://youtube.com/GoodHopeChurchInstagram: http://instagram.com/goodhopemnFacebook: http://fb.com/goodhopemn
Open Topic - Hearing from God
In this teaching, Pastor Daniel Stevens reminds us that God still speaks, but the foundation for hearing His voice is His Word. The Bible is our guide, shaping our ability to recognize when God speaks and protecting us from deception. Just as you'd recognize the voice of an author after reading all their works, Scripture trains our ears to know the Shepherd's voice.Take a moment to slow down with the Word—read, reflect, and let God's truth sink deep into your heart.DOWNLOAD THE SERMON NOTES HERE#HearingGodsVoice #BibleTruth #FaithBuilding #GoodHopeChurch #ScriptureFirstSTAY CONNECTEDYoutube: https://youtube.com/GoodHopeChurchInstagram: http://instagram.com/goodhopemnFacebook: http://fb.com/goodhopemn
In this message, Pastor Mike Stevens teaches that hearing from God begins with His Word. God has already spoken to us through Scripture, and when we read it, we learn to recognize His voice. Just like recognizing an author after reading their books, the more familiar we are with the Bible, the easier it is to discern God's guidance. Without Scripture, we risk being deceived by other voices, but with it, we find clarity, direction, and strength.Take time today to pause on a passage—like Ephesians 3:14–21—and let God speak to you through it.DOWNLOAD THE SERMON NOTES HERE#HearingFromGod #BibleFoundation #GodsVoice #FaithJourney #GoodHopeChurchSTAY CONNECTEDYoutube: https://youtube.com/GoodHopeChurchInstagram: http://instagram.com/goodhopemnFacebook: http://fb.com/goodhopemn

“God doesn't talk to me.” “I can't hear God's voice.” “I don't know what God sounds like.” Hearing from God is pivotal to the life of a Christian. Not only do we seek guidance from His Word, but we also ask Him questions about which path to take, what to do, and how He wants us to behave. We want insight into situations we find ourselves in. And we long to receive His words of love and comfort, especially when life around us is full of chaos and heartache. Yet there are times when we struggle to hear His voice, when it seems that He is silent. Why is that? I won't be able to address any and every situation that might make it harder to hear from God—at least, not all in this episode. But there is one issue in particular that I've noticed in my own life, and I bet you can recognize it in yours, too. And if we truly want to hear from God, it's something that we're going to have to address. So what is it? What can prevent us from hearing from God? You don't expect to. Let's take a few minutes and unpack this idea together. The famous philosopher and atheist Bertrand Russell was once asked what he would say if, after death, he found himself standing before almighty God. Russell replied - "Not enough evidence, God! Not enough evidence." Many people share the sentiment, but is that right? According to the Bible God is a speaking God. Psalm 19 shows us that God is speaking constantly, universally and verbally. 03-08-2025 - Lucas Durant

If you get your opinion about God strictly from reading the Old Testament your opinion will not be one that invites you into a close relationship with Him.
We should make hearing from the Lord daily, a priority in our lives. You do not earn your right to hear from God by your actions, you would never be good enough to stand before Him. But God loves you and wants to speak to you, you can hear from God. He has called you into a relationship with Him, through the blood of Jesus. Learn who you are, and who you are called to be.
In spite of the questions and confusion around the topic of hearing from God, the Bible still has much to say about living our lives while walking by and with the Holy Spirit. How do we hear from God? Are the gifts mentioned in the New Testament for us? These topics are discussed with Pastor Pat McGuffin from Freedom Fellowship, and a member of his church, author and teacher Dr. Ray Self.
No matter what our occupation or status is in life, God is desirous to talk with us, to give us direction and counsel. What are some of the different ways God speaks to us; when I do hear something how can I know whether it's of God or not?
When you hear from God, you need to make sure you manage well what you feel the Lord has told you. How you hear is important for you to be able to obey what God says to you. Humble yourself and submit to God, and He will bless you.
Are you praying, reading your Bible, and still wondering why you can't hear God's voice? In this episode, I share 6 biblical reasons why you may not be hearing from God, and what to do about it. We'll explore practical and spiritual insights straight from the Scripture to help you overcome silence, break spiritual barriers, and grow deeper with Christ.
There are different filters you can use to be sure you are hearing from God. God's Word, godly advice, peace in your heart, or signs. God wants you to be confident in your relationship and that you can know His leading for you.
As a child of God, you can hear from your Heavenly Father. He wants to speak to your heart, and guide your life. So you need to be confident of who you are, and what your identity is as a believer - you are a Child of God! So you can hear from God.
God is speaking to you, but hearing from God is something that you make the adjustments to do. What you do each day determines how well you hear from the Lord. These principles are the way you put yourself in a place to be hearing from God in your life.
The Bible lists 9761 times where "God said", "God spoke," "The Lord spoke", or the "Lord said." That doesn't sound to me like a God who is silent or doesn't want to talk with us.
God wants to be the one you serve, but He also desires to be your friend. You need to take time in His presence daily, and your friendship will become more and more real to you. You can have a relationship with the Lord that is so real, that He can become your best friend in life.

You were created to have a personal relationship with the Lord Jesus, He is wanting to speak to you in your life. We can learn how to become more sensitive to hear His voice, and have greater expectation, that the Lord will speak to us daily.

Hearing from God starts with availability, not perfection. Like Samuel, God calls us to say “Here I am” with our time, heart, and plans fully surrendered. As we tune in and grow deeper, we learn to recognize and faithfully respond to His voice each day. Recorded Live at Brookwood Church on 06/01/2025
