    This episode is not a meditation, it is a story, a true story about the value of meditation. It is the story of 12 Thai boys who were trapped in a cave for 9 days and subsequently rescued. While they were trapped, their very kind coach taught them how to stay calm and encouraged them to meditate to manage their scary thoughts and preserve energy. This is a fantastic story that teaches children the value of staying calm and the importance of kindness and helping each other. This beautiful flower grows from muddy waters and against the odds rises out of the mud to have a beautiful life as a flower.     Welcome to Kids Mindfulness Meditations. A Podcast for Kids. My name is Maryanne Eve. I'm a Mental Health Social Worker and I have a special interest in Mindfulness. I run a multi award nominated Kids Mindfulness Group Program, where I teach children how to self soothe and self manage stress via Mindfulness education and meditation practice. This podcast is especially for kids, for kids who may be stressed, anxious, highly emotional or kids who are overthinkers or have trouble sleeping.  Each episode will be a single, recorded, downloadable meditation for children aged 5-13yrs. There will be meditations for sleep and meditations for relaxation. The aim of my podcast is to give children a free easy to use, therapeutic resource to assist them to relax and to find their calm.
