Joel Toussaint is a public speaker, engineer, tutor of math and physics, and one of the most purpose-driven people that I’ve ever gotten the chance to talk with. He was born in Haiti and moved to the U.S at age 23 with the goal of becoming an engineer. While he was still learning to speak the language he worked a series of blue-collar jobs and saved up enough money to put himself through college. He graduated from Georgia Tech with a master’s degree and began working in engineering. From there, he discovered a passion for public speaking. Joel recognizes the power that great speakers have to teach and to inspire large groups of people to take action. He has a very unique perceptive to share from living in Haiti and the U.S and he is able to extract some really valuable life lessons from both experiences. In this episode, we discuss the potential future of Haiti, a topic that Joel is very passionate about. One of his main goals is to use public speaking to help unite the people of Haiti and show the world all of the incredible things their nation is capable of. We also discuss future technological innovations that may help change the way we all live. In this episode, Joel breaks down his approach to studying math and physics and shares how he is able to simplify what would normally seem complicated, which is a skill that can be applied to any difficult task that you’re perusing. As usual, I have my co-host, Kya Lian, joining us in his episode. Hope you enjoy it.

Jo Erickson is a gifted teacher, life coach, and alternative therapist that I’ve personally learned a lot from over the years. Jo is an internationally trained NLP practitioner. Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) is a method of using language to reprogram negative behaviors and thought patterns that have been ingrained into us over the chorus of our lives and may show up as depression, anxiety, phobias, and even physical illnesses brought on by mental stress. She is also the lead director of the life learning center in Royal oak Michigan where she practices family constellation therapy, a practice that helps heal unresolved trauma passed down through a families history. Jo has gotten some incredible results with both of these practices that you’ll have the chance to hear about in this episode. We learned a lot from this conversation and I hope you get as much out of it as we did.

Katherine Vergin is a musician, writer, professional make-up artist and is now currently in medical school studying to become a doctor after discovering a new-found passion for helping others through the medical field. Once you sit down and talk with Katherine you quickly realize that she’s an incredibly deep thinker and sort of a modern-day philosopher. I’ve wanted to do a podcast with Katherine ever since I worked with her on a music video project a while back. The purpose of the video was to showcase four real people who have overcome fear in their lives and who didn’t let fear limit the possibility of what their lives could become. After filming the video, we shot a behind-the-scenes interview with her where she got to share some of her thoughts and experiences in her own words. This podcast was our way of capturing the energy and impact that we felt while working with Katherine.

Welcome to the first ever episode of the Limitless Future Podcast. On this episode show host, Alex Suttle sits down with his two co-hosts Kya Liann and Andy Loria to recap and discuss an intense guided meditation that he recently took part in that shifted his perspective on the fear of death, the ability to be compassionate towards people who you strongly disagree with, as well as the ability to stay calm and collected in the middle of extremely stressful or even traumatic situations. The method used in this guided meditation is referred to as “Regenerating Images in Memory” and was created by Dr. Deb Sandella.  The specific version of this practice Alex took part in and recaps on this episode is called “Archetypal Images”.
