BFFs Jess and Ofir tell the crazy tale of when they had a visitor to their Kingston house. Surprisingly, Jane had a similar experience, albeit a different species. Also in this pod - GeoGuessr, Starbucks, and trend predictions. It's a rollercoaster of a conversation, and one you won't want to miss.
Kaylee didn't know what her second year at uni would hold, but it certainly wasn't a manic episode. Listen to this London med student's experience of mania, as well as her experience working in the COVID wards. This episode does not aim to glamourise or gain entertainment from mental illness. What happens when you get three euro-obsessed, longtime best friends on a podcast? They talk about exchange. This week, listen as Jane, Kate and Jen decide what their favourite trip was, debate the David statue's package, and gush over London.
This week, Jane calls her friend and university roommate, Nat, to chat about her New Year's Day race - a 50km run through Vancouver, with less than 3 weeks of training. From there, the conversation moves to school, sustainability, and Nat's top tips for thrifting.
Jane sits down with her family friend Kim, who spent many years at the top of the global sports marketing game before transitioning into real estate. In this episode, Kim reflects on her time working for the Olympics and Ironman, swimming with the sharks, bungee jumping, and breaking the glass ceiling. Is there anything she can't do?
Trish Rooney just moved to New York to attend NYU's Journalism school. Yet, the craziest thing she's ever done was lead a month long canoe trip through the lakes that split Minnesota from Ontario. She's also discovered how toxic social media can be, how influencers are obsolete, and how meaning can be found through actual conversation.
Kate Macdonald is a close friend of mine from Queen's University. After graduation, she made the bold move of relocating to Seattle, WA....in the middle of a pandemic. Listen to us catch up on our post-grad lives, favourite activewear brands, and pandemic hobbies.
On our first episode, Jane calls her friend Molly to spill the tea about their travels. From hostel gifts to strange airbnb locations to drunk in foreign countries, we hope you laugh along with us.
Hey, what's up? My name is Jane and I am a recent grad, multimedia journalist, and most recently, a government employee. And I'm trying to make it through the pandemic without going completely crazy. Welcome to my podcast “Live from my bedroom”. The first official episode launches January 6th, 2021, but let me tell you a little bit about what is to come. I set up a call with a friend, family member, or stranger, and start the conversation by asking them to tell me about the craziest thing they've ever done….and we go from there. I want to create an experience for anyone who might feel a little isolated, or is craving a sense of social interaction. I'll be releasing episodes every Wednesday. I hope you can tune in. Signing off from my bedroom in Toronto, much love and stay healthy.
