Hey, hello, hi, my Bumblebees! I’ve made a decision in regards to Ranting Teen Talks and I hope you understand that there's always going to be ups and downs which is what “Sunshine Mixed with a Little Hurricane,” (Brad Paisley) is all about. When I started this podcast, my main goal was to inspire you to be yourself, spread positivity, and do what you love, however, currently, I haven’t been able to do that myself. Thus, I came to this conclusion, because really, I wanted to provide you the quality and attention you deserve, and I’ve been struggling to do so for a while now. Nonetheless, I wish you all the best as you continue to learn and grow as wonderful humans. Lift your head high, and know that once you embrace today, there's a world of possibilities for tomorrow. Remember this: "The clock is running. Make the most of today. Time waits for no man. Your goals and successes are tailored to yourself, and how you achieve them is up to you too. However, no matter who you are, there is one thing that remains clear- in order to get to your destination you must keep moving forward. Even if you fall or retrace your steps, at the end of the day, moving forward is how you will get closer to accomplishing them. So how DO we move forward? Simple- by hard work and determination. You won't get anywhere if all you do is hope for the best, instead of actually trying to do something instead. You also must create a REACHABLE goal, by knowing the difference between "if it's meant to be, it'll be," and "if you want it, go get it." Finally, although goals may seem like challenges sometimes, if you put your mind and focus in one place, and remind yourself why you created that goal, there's no telling what you can, and can't do. We all know that ignorance describes lacking knowledge or awareness, but that's just the definition of it. What actually makes something ignorant? Do "dumb" questions exist? Is our view of ignorance always the same? Everyone has different opinions, which also means our ideas of ignorance will differ as well. Based on the perspective you choose, your decision on whether or not someone is ignorant will also vary. However, because the literal definition of ignorance means "lacking knowledge," no question should be considered stupid. By asking questions, you are doing the opposite which is learning and taking in new information. Yes, you may not know everything about a topic, but asking questions proves that you do not lack knowledge, because you are interested in the first place. Learning and making mistakes is how we create ourselves, and questions help us get there. So while there will always be disagreements on the concept of ignorance, we should all learn to agree that "dumb" questions are nonexistent. These ideas are expressed with one single quote within this episode: "Ignorance is not saying, I don't know. Ignorance is saying, I don't WANT to know," ~ Unknown Don't be afraid of your own curiosity, - Adriana --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/rantingteentalks/message

Two quotes. The first? "You don't get harmony when everyone sings the same note," (Doug Floyd). -And the second, "Life isn't about finding yourself. Life is about creating yourself," (George Bernard Shaw). Both have very different meanings, however, in this episode, Adriana merges the two together in order to bring to you a concept worth discussing. She does this by evaluating the importance of choosing your own path, while also weighing in her interpretation of FINDING yourself and CREATING yourself. The way you live life depends on the perspective you chose to see it in. You could go by day by day, seeing the world as darkness filled with monsters disguised as people, but then how happy would YOU be? In contrast, you could be noticing those who shed warmth and passion, those who appreciate things like growing plants, those who laugh until they snort, and those who overflow with kindness towards everyone. . . doesn't it seem better when you admire the roses instead of the thorns? Think about the path you chose in the past, present, and future, and think about what YOU can do, no matter how big or small, to make a difference. Most importantly, remember to BEE yourself, ~ Adriana "You can complain because roses have thorns, or you can be grateful because thorn bushes have roses," - Ziggy (Tom Wilson) --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/rantingteentalks/message

When you hear yourself are you someone to be listened to, or someone to be ignored? When you're honest to yourself, are you moving forward, or holding yourself back? These are all questions we must learn to answer truthfully. No one but YOU can define your beauty, so how will you? We must remind ourselves that beauty isn't just in physical appearance. It's in our actions towards people and ourselves. It's in acceptance, trust, and recovery. It's seeing people as people and embracing their differences. It's in opening our eyes and not only imagining a better world, but committing to it. Beauty is in everything if you take the time to find it. "Best Friends & Chocolate" is a two-part segment, centering around best friends and introducing a chocolate theory. Adriana describes "The Chocolate Theory" as saying there are many reasons to take a grand bite of delicious chocolate, just like there are different reasons you might choose to lean on one friend over another depending on the situation. Thus, this analysis supports the "cake vs. cupcake" concept she creates, which represents having multiple reliable friends vs. a single one. By making this episode, she encourages others to choose "cake" and surround themselves with people who they are happy with, trust, and feel that they belong, oppose to being surrounded by acquaintances. Although taking that first, courageous, step to be able to put yourself out there and find people you connect with may be challenging, it will be worth it. Hey, hello, hi! In this Ranting Teen Talks segment, I discuss the importance of skipping the "I'm only (insert age), so please don't judge but..." response, to JUST SAYING what you need to say. By including your age in a situation where it is not needed, you are promoting some consequences. For example: 1. YOU'RE GIVING OFF PERSONAL INFORMATION!!! BE CAUTIOUS AND THINK WISELY ABOUT YOUR DECISIONS. 2. You're giving the impression that you are begging for attention, which people are going to react by not taking your response seriously. 3. It may seem as though you are warning others that you are incapable of receiving the direct truth and must have "sugar-coded" replies. 4. It is possible that you feel you lack some sort of quality, so you (figuratively) "hide" behind something like your age to justify yourself. This could mean being scared of someone's opinion, or simply denying the power of your speech because of your age. These are all pointers which I cover in episode 19, 'JUST SAY IT!' Stop using your age as a shield, and start saying what you need to say. -As long as you're being respectful, kind, and considerate of course!
