Hello, my friend, James 'Fantastik' Hepler with you on the Monetize Your Voice Podcast. Hope you're having yourolutely bodacious beautiful day, wherever you happen to be. We have been discussing many different aspects of life. We talk about TACC - The Art of Confident Communication. From my perspective, I feel it is an absolute cornerstone of living. A fulfilled life, a fun-filled life, a fun, and easy life. And to help you along that way, you can go to Mr. fantastic. live. Mr. fantastic. live. And we'll send you five free tips to up-leveling your communication skills. You will be blessed greatly if you choose to focus on becoming a confident communicator, one that can speak with complete competence, clarity, control, and comfort. In our last episode, we were talking about having a fantastic, fascinating adventure today. We're gonna take a look again at how we focus on and position different aspects of life. So many of my friends, associates, and acquaintances, particularly the acquaintances. So often look at life through the lens of frustration and obstacles. Pothole speed bumps. So on and so forth. As I think I've told you before I classify myself as a realistic optimist, not an optimistic, real. I'm a realistic optimist. So I know I have experienced over many decades, the roller coaster aspects of the journey called life. I also have learned that the more often I keep looking at it through the lens of positivity. The easier it is to negotiate the potholes and speed bumps of life. So today we're gonna take a look at the two big OS. Are they obstacles or are they opportunities to grow? This is always the interesting aspect of our positioning. Again, as much as it hurts me to say the statement that the vast majority of people that I know look at them as obstacles, the challenges of life are. I'm speaking about. Most people look at the challenges of life as obstacles instead of opportunities to grow. So I would ask that you give serious consideration to a blessing yourself. We're switching the lenses through which you look at life through, which you look at life. I get a daily motivational inspirational message for a gentleman. Out of Texas and his name happens to be Ralph Marston, M a R S T O N. And I would like to suggest that you give serious consideration to signing up for his daily motivator. He is one of the most reasonable dudes that I know $15 a year is just amazing. I wanna share this portion of this particular day's message from him. These are the last two paragraphs. Is there anything you wish you had done in the past hour? The past week or past few months now is your chance to stop wishing and start doing the next hour of your life begins. Now. Live it as. It's the most important one yet, because it is, and that's an extended way of saying one of Mr. Fantastic quotes enjoy every miraculous, magical minute. While you're in it and that's where we need to be. In scriptures, we are taught that. We are supposed to live in the present. We were designed to live in the present in our humanness. We can only handle 24 hours segments at a time. So I would like to encourage you to change the lenses through which you view life. If you put a lot of time and energy into the three very terrible Musketeers where he doubts and fears, I call 'em the three terrible troublesome. Muske tears worry, a doubt in fear, they Rob us of so much energy. So let's switch our lenses from obstacles to opportunities, Grow's such a great opportunity for me to be here with you to share some thoughts for you to think about speaking of which. If you would like to have five free tips to up-leveling your communication skills simply long owned at Mr. fantastic. live. So what are going to be your opportunities to grow today? Ask yourself that. Another way to look at it is who can I bless today along this walk of life? Who can I give a smile to a wave, a pack pat on the back a good morning or good afternoon, or it's so great to see you? I hope you're having yourself a fantastic. Fascinating adventure this day. Thank you again for your kindness. We're spending a little bit of time with James. Fantastic. Here on the Monetize Your Voice Podcast. It is always. If you could get yourself to focus when and where you need to AND could shift your state or feelings so you feel like doing things you've planned, when it's time to take action, would having those skills change your life? If you're like other adults I've asked over the years, the answer is a resounding yes. But how? You are where your attention is. What you focus on grows. You are the meaning maker in your life. The sun's rays do not burn until brought to a focus.” Will Durant said, “We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act but a habit.” Bruce Lee said, “The successful warrior is the average man, with laser-like focus.” Zig Ziglar said, “I don't care how much power, brilliance or energy you have, if you don't harness it and focus it on a specific target, and hold it there, you're never going to accomplish as much as your ability warrants.” Steve Jobs said, “Focus and simplicity. Simple can be harder than complex: You have to work hard to get your thinking clean to make it simple. But it's worth it in the end because once you get there, you can move mountains.” Mike Hawkins said, “you don't get results by focusing on results. You get results by focusing on the actions that produce results.” Jacqueline Leo said, “One look at an email can rob you of 15 minutes of focus. One call on your cell phone, one tweet, one instant message can destroy your schedule, forcing you to move meetings, or blow off really important things, like love and friendship.” Ralph Marston said, “Your destiny is to fulfill those things upon which you focus most intently. So, choose to keep your focus on that which is truly magnificent, beautiful, uplifting and joyful. Your life is always moving toward something.” Oprah Winfrey said, “Energy is the essence of life. Every day you decide how you're going to use it by knowing what you want and what it takes to reach that goal, and by maintaining focus.” John Carmack said, “Focus is a matter of deciding what things you're not going to do.” Anthony D'Angelo said, “Focus 90% of your time on solutions and only 10% of your time on problems.” Og Mandino said, “It is those who concentrate on but one things at a time who advance in this world. The great man or woman is the one who never steps outside his or her specialty or foolishly dissipates his or her individuality.” All of these quotes say to me that because I am 100% responsible, 100% of the time for the outcomes in my life, it's up to me to develop my abilities to consciously focus and have foresight so that I end up where I want to be in my life. And because I am a solutions-focused person, I always ask myself “HOW” can I” rather than thinking that I can't; that there's no way forward. Greetings, Summit Leaders. Following a long session of work and navigating new pathways in life and career, everyone needs an intentional time to renew the body, mind, and spirit. Life and career happen rapidly, and great leaders understand the importance of rest. As we read accounts of great leaders following significant work and battles won, they insisted on resting. They recognized that doing good work is essential but understood to do it effectively rest and renewal are needed. "Come with me by yourselves to a quiet place and get some rest." A caring leader’s words to his followers. Why is rest so vital, and how can we enter into proper rest for the body and mind? There are four actions and four benefits. 1. Remember: Taking time out to remember allows us to relish the journey, the challenges overcome, and accomplishments. 2. Reflect: Time spent thinking about events and steps to victory are invaluable because they produce insight. Great leaders take time to reflect on their actions and assess the critical steps along the way. These insights make leaders more prepared to face future challenges. 3. Review: Great leaders focus on the campaign of conquest. They not only have a vision of where they are going and leading others, but also a keen awareness of where they have come. It is helpful to recall our beginnings and what we endured to appreciate where we are today. Think back on your life and career journey. Think about what you have overcome these past months and years. You have something to celebrate, my friend. Usually, an attitude of gratitude arises in the heart during the process. 4. Resolve: Neuroscience shows that a peaceful state of remembering and celebrating past victories create chemicals in the body that calm our nerves and restore our vitality. Following the period of resting and waiting, we gain new strength to run if needed and not get weary or walk on the journey and not faint. We can keep the pace required and go greater distances than we thought possible. "Rest when you're weary. Refresh and renew yourself, your body, your mind, your spirit. Then get back to work." Ralph Marston " True silence is the rest of the mind, and is to the spirit what sleep is to the body, nourishment, and refreshment." — William Penn Waiting and resting are refreshing for the soul of a leader. We gain confidence that we can victoriously overcome what is ahead of us. Our minds are free to soar on wings like eagles. We have fresh perspectives and clear thinking. I recently read about a group of leaders who overcame considerable opposition and achieved tremendous results. The leader of leaders gave these instructions. “Celebrate! Be joyous and send gifts to others and rejoice in your accomplishments.” A celebration is not only for the leader but also for encouraging others. Often when we celebrate and give to others, such as family, colleagues, and friends or people in the community, we are strengthened and filled with joy. We reap what we sow, more than we sow, later than we sow. It is more blessed to give than receive. Take the time to schedule your celebration. Remembering your accomplishments creates a sense of gratitude. In the process, we gain the resolve to pursue victory in the months ahead of us! The best is yet to come, and the biggest is yet to be. Rest for a while. Then return to your work. A time of refreshing renews, restores, and revitalizes us. Victory!

¡Re-enfócate y actúa! Estos tiempos son el momento ideal para actuar a base de esta cita que reflexionaremos y traduciremos en el audio de hoy: “Your destiny is to fulfill those things upon which you focus most intently. So choose to keep your focus on that which is truly magnificent, beautiful, uplifting and joyful. Your life is always moving toward something.” Ralph Marston
In this episode, I share how you can overcome any obstacle that you encounter so that you reach your goals and dreams, and you do it by believing in yourself and having the discipline and fortitude to keep going despite adversity. "Believe in the beauty of your dreams." I often recite this quote by Eleanor Roosevelt when I speak about my life's passion. But what does this quote really mean? It takes reading the quote in its entirety to experience the full power of the former First Lady's message. She said: "Believe in yourself. You gain strength, courage, and confidence by every experience in which you stop to look fear in the face...You must do that which you think you cannot do...The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams." (Eleanor Roosevelt) In addition to Roosevelt's quote, I also share a favorite passage by Ralph Marston on self-discipline and three kinds of discipline (Perception, Action, and Will) from Ryan Holiday's book, The Obstacle is the Way. Ryan's book is one of my favorite books and is framed from the maxim by Roman Emperor and stoic philosopher, Marcus Aurelius. Aurelius penned: The impediment to action advances the action. What stands in the way becomes the way. At the end of the episode, I share the good news! I launched my new website, www.yourahalife.com. Check it out and don't forget to subscribe to my monthly newsletter. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/yourahalife/message

Dear You- Creating A Happier, Motivated, Wiser Version Of You
Couple years ago, I would always go to bed feeling like I didn't do enough today. I could've done more. It's not a feeling I wanted to live with so I started doing these 3 things to my To-do lists:1) I eliminated every useless thing off of it, like learn a new language or take a pottery class. And I say no to anything I don't truly want to do. yes, I wanna try new things but it doesn't help when you see extra tasks on your list that you don't really need. Psychologically, it stresses you out more. So keep your list short, relevant and achievable. 2) Another thing is to have one big goal for six months or a year:Breaking it down into small milestones for every month. Then schedule it into weekly small actionable tasks.for example, create a new product (one big goal) then you can chunk it down to ideas, research, material, packaging, prototype, sourcing, pricing, marketing, branding... (lol, you get it) you can schedule each small chunk per day or week (depending on the amount of work). This always helps me see that I'm making progress and keeps me motivated. I use it for everything, from personal fitness goals to work. 3) CHORES. You just have to do them. Here's a perspective you can apply to them:Viewing chores like washing dishes, doing laundry, cleaning your car etc as things you GET to do instead. If you think about it, these are all privileges. You have a pretty blessed life to have chores such as these. You aren't obligated to do anything, if you don't want to cook then you're choosing to eat out or go hungry. but knowing that you always have an option and you choose to do those tasks to show yourself care and create a life you want might make them more enjoyable. I'll leave you with this quote because in a very nerdy way, it inspires me:“What you do today can improve all of your tomorrows.” —Ralph Marston

“Your happiness will not come to you. It can only come from you.” –Ralph Marston
“Attitude is a little thing that makes a big difference,” according to Winston Churchill. But if a big difference is a bit more than you want to take on right now, a slightly better attitude is a good place to start. If perhaps you think that changing your attitude won't really make any difference, consider this from William James. “The greatest discovery of my generation is that a human being can alter his life by altering his attitudes.” It's worth mentioning that Norman Vincent Peale agreed. He said, “Change your thoughts and you change your world.” Just how much change you want is up to you. What is stopping you from that attitude change James and Peale think are so important? Mahatma Gandhi had this advice for us, “I will not let anyone walk through my mind with their dirty feet.” I think the point is to figure out who in our lives is feeding the attitude we have and making sure their dirty feet are not pulling us in the wrong direction. I suspect that attitudes are contagious and it's pretty easy to be infected by someone else's bad attitude. While you are considering even a minor attitude adjustment, it will help to keep the words of Isaac Bashevis Singer in mind, “If you keep on saying things are going to be bad, you have a good chance of becoming a prophet. Will Foley put it a little more succinctly, “The world is full of cactus, but we don't have to sit on it.” I hear you. You are committing to a little attitude shift but don't want to get carried away with this attitude thing. Although no one claims credit for saying it, not majoring in minor things is likely worth at least some consideration. Even so, “If you are not enjoying the journey, you probably won't enjoy the destination.” The tip here is pretty simple: “Things turn out best for the people who make the best out of the way things turn out.” Is that you shrugging your shoulders and saying, “Who cares?” As Helen MacInness reminded, “Nothing is interesting if you're not interested.” As the old Swedish Proverb suggests, “Those who wish to sing, always find a song,” and those who don't, don't. It's that attitude thing all over again. It was Arthur Christopher Benson who said, “Very often a change of self is needed more than a change of scene.” Of course the point is valid; but all things considered, I think going for a change of scene is sometimes a better first choice than undertaking changing ourselves. According to Edward de Bono, “Unhappiness is best defined as the difference between our talents and our expectations.” Since you likely conclude that your unhappiness is because “they” just don't appreciate your exceptional talents, moving on may be better than – and is certainly easier than one of those attitude adjustments “they” keep suggesting. Ralph Marston may have argued that “Excellence is not a skill. It is an attitude,” but just who does he think he is anyway? When we are the ones with the skills, others will just have to get over it. Our attitudes are just fine thank you. Even though I don't know who said it, “It isn't our position but our disposition which makes us happy.” As true as that is, I think I still should be the boss. How about you?

As we begin, let me give you this reminder from the Word of God. Psalm 37:5 says: "Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass." Our quote for today is from Ralph Marston. He said: "What you do today can improve all your tomorrows." Today, in the Get Things Done podcast we are looking at Part 2 of Step 7: "Establish an Action Environment". Q: You also mentioned that having things organized will help reduce the temptation to procrastinate. Exactly what did you mean by that? I mean that it important to avoid clutter in the workplace. A neat, orderly workbench, with each tool hanging in its allotted space, is an invitation to get busy, whereas a jumbled aggregation of wrenches, pipes, hammers, clamps, wire, files, pliers, sandpaper, and half-finished projects stifles enthusiasm and encourages delay and diversion. The same is true in an office. A tidy desk encourages concentration; a disheveled one is a psychological roadblock. ...
In the words of my main man Ralph Marston, "when you make full and resolute use of it (your time), ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE!" It's about Time... It's YOUR Time... so use it well... It's GAMETIME... and YOU know it! Go get 'em!!
