From the Wrestling Bios YouTube channel, "Reliving The War" is an ongoing series looking at the WWF Raw vs WCW Nitro weekly TV Ratings battle. Each upload looks at a specific week of the "Monday Night War" with match and promo analysis.
The Raw vs Nitro - Reliving The War podcast is a fantastic trip down memory lane for wrestling fans who grew up during the Monday Night War era. As someone who was a huge fan in the 90s and early 2000s, I found this series to be a delightful way to relive some nostalgia. The format of the show, which compares WWF (WWE) and WCW week by week, is brilliant and provides an intriguing look at how the two companies stacked up against each other. The narrator has a great voice for videos/podcasts and his extensive knowledge of wrestling adds depth and insight to each episode.
One of the best aspects of this podcast is the pacing, content, and information provided. Each episode is well-structured and flows smoothly, keeping the listener engaged from start to finish. The host does an excellent job of highlighting key moments from both Raw and Nitro, providing context and background information that enhances the listening experience. Additionally, his match recommendations are a valuable resource for those looking to revisit some classic wrestling matches from the Monday Night War era.
However, one potential downside to this podcast is that it may not be as enjoyable for listeners who are not familiar with wrestling or did not grow up during this era. While the host does a great job of explaining certain aspects of wrestling, there may still be some references or inside jokes that only hardcore fans will fully appreciate. That being said, even non-wrestling fans may find some entertainment value in hearing about the cultural impact of this time period in professional wrestling.
In conclusion, The Raw vs Nitro - Reliving The War podcast is a must-listen for any current or past wrestling fan. Whether you watched Raw live and recorded Nitro like me or are simply interested in learning about this pivotal time in wrestling history, this podcast delivers top-notch production and engaging content. The host's passion for wrestling shines through in every episode, making it a truly enjoyable and informative experience. I am grateful that the host has expanded his YouTube channel into podcast form, allowing fans to enjoy this series conveniently. Here's to many more episodes of reliving the Monday Night War!
