CJ McMahon has been a student of Dan Infalt's Hunting Beast tactics, reading, watching, and digesting as much information has he could over the years. Recently he has seen those efforts come to fruition as he has been consistently killing giant bucks with his archery equipment in the state of Maine. He also hunts New Hampshire and Massachusetts and has found success in those states as well. He comes on the podcast to talk about his most recent hunt, where he took a giant velvet buck on the opening day of Maine's expanded archery season. He also talks about his strategies, how some of them differ from Dan's, and some of the keys to his success that you all can take with you for seasons to come. TO SUPPORT OUR SHOW- Come to Huntstock! With 6 changes from the side that faced Spain and strong players coming back into the starting XV, Bemand has shown they are going out to win this fixture. Bemand is "very confident" that she will be ready for that Quarter Final clash however, against whoever that may be. Hear from co-captain Edel McMahon and Ireland head coach, Scott Bemand, after the team announcement Friday morning.

We discuss the importance of shifting our mindset to one that is infused with hope. Positive change comes when we choose hope. Though nobody can fix it all, we can all do something and make an impact. Sharon reminds us that if something is worth doing for everyone, it's worth doing for one person. Sharon's civic action toolkit recommendations are: 1) Choose hope. 2) Get involved in an issue that is important to you because your actions do matter. Road Trip After Hours w/ WWE Hall of Famer Teddy Long and Host Mac Davis
Ever wonder what happens when wrestling legends gather to celebrate one of the industry's most powerful figures? This week, WWE Hall of Famer Teddy Long joins Mac Davis to pull back the curtain on his recent attendance at Vince McMahon's ultra-private 80th birthday bash. From sitting at McMahon's personal table alongside John Cena to receiving a remarkable marble bust inscribed with "Some legends are carved in stone," Teddy shares rare glimpses into this exclusive celebration where phones were prohibited and the WWE patriarch was "at home" directing the production. The conversation shifts to Teddy's adventures at Dragon Con, where he brought an unexpected superhero into the wrestling world by appointing Superman as a special referee for the main event. With costumed fans and electric crowds creating what Teddy calls "an indie performer's dream," his stories paint a vivid picture of wrestling's unique intersection with fan culture.Through the mailbag segment, Teddy reflects on career highlights and regrets—from refereeing the legendary Steamboat-Flair match at Chi-Town Heat to wishing his bout with Eric Bischoff and Boogeyman "never happened." He shares fascinating insights about his early days refereeing sixteen matches in a single day and the evolution of Doom (Ron Simmons and Butch Reed) from hooded Ebony Express members to one of wrestling's most formidable tag teams.Whether you're a longtime wrestling fan or simply love behind-the-scenes stories from entertainment's most colorful characters, this episode delivers candid reflections from someone who's truly seen it all. This week, Rob Parsons speaks to Jim McMahon, a Northern politician at the heart of Government. In the Commons this week - before her tax affairs become engulfed in controversy - Deputy Prime Minister Angela Rayner made the case to MPs about what she described as "the biggest transfer of power in a generation out of Whitehall to our regions and communities" and an end to "the begging bowl, micro-managing culture".She's talking about Labour's English Devolution and Community Empowerment Bill, which will give more powers to existing mayors and see two-tier district and county councils replaced with one body. Why should we care about this legislation tinkering under the bonnet of our democratic system? This week on the podcast Rob asked Mr McMahon, one of Angela Rayner's team of Ministers in charge of Local Government and Devolution, as well as being an MP in Oldham. He's a former leader of Oldham council too so knows all too well the challenges local politicians face.Mr McMahon talks about how these changes are fundamental to Labour's mission in government, what he says about worries they will allow power to be hoarded away from communities, and whether he'd force areas like Lancashire to have a metro mayor. PLUS: Why he's forcing councils like Sheffield to abandon their committee system of government and what he thinks of Reform UK's decision in Nottinghamshire to ban any communications with their local paper. After the tragic loss of his brother during the pandemic, Jack reflects on family, the duties of fatherhood versus citizenship, and how personal struggles shaped his writing. You've probably heard the old joke—we caught it again recently on Ezra Klein's show. A conspiracy theorist dies and goes to heaven. At the pearly gates, God tells him he can ask one question—anything at all. The conspiracy theorist says, “Who really killed JFK?” God replies, “Lee Harvey Oswald and he acted alone.” The conspiracy theorist pauses, nods, and says, “Wow. This goes higher than I thought.”The joke captures just how impenetrable conspiracy thinking can be. That's part of what we're exploring today with our guest, Sharon McMahon. Sharon is a former high school government teacher turned trusted national educator, bestselling author, and host of the Sharon Says So podcast, known for bringing truth, clarity, and calm to some of the most divisive issues in American public life.Today, Sharon helps us unpack why conspiracy theories can be so compelling, how they spread, and the very human needs behind them—like safety, belonging, and making sense of uncertainty. She also shares deeply practical and compassionate guidance for staying in relationship with someone who's caught in that mindset, while still honoring your own values and boundaries. In 2020, the Church offered timely guidance in its General Handbook, warning against misinformation that promotes anger, contention, and fear—and encouraging members to be skeptical of conspiracy theories. So we talked with Sharon about the role faith communities can play in building resilience against misinformation—not by controlling ideas, but by fostering connection, curiosity, and critical thinking.Sharon's clarity, courage, and humor made this one of our favorite conversations and we're also so excited she'll be speaking at Restore this year—we hope you'll join us to see her live.Learn more about Restore at faithmatters.org/restoreGet Sharon's book from Bookshop.orgGet Sharon's book from AmazonCome to our event at The Compass on 9/13

Welcome to Episode 26 of Pro Wrestling Spotlight REWIND. Today's episode features an original uncut episode of the historic talk show, hosted by John Arezzi. On this episode we share the July 21st, 1991 broadcast of Pro Wrestling Spotlight, which aired on 1240 AM in West Babylon New York. On this episode we cover the Press Conference held on July 19th, 1991 at NYC's Plaza Hotel, held by Vince McMahon and WWF PR Director Steve Planamenta - to address the steroid scandals exploding at that time. Dr. George Zaharion (WWF Ringside Doctor in PA) was convicted by a jury for illegal distribution of Steroids, and McMahon needed to put water on that fire. The WWF attempted to control the media at that time and did not invite the Wrestling Press to attend (especially yours truly). I was able to get in using an alias, and confronted McMahon about it. All captured on tape. Later on the show - we featured reporter Alex Marvez of the Miami Herald to discuss the turmoil and the scandals. Also we promote Weekend of Champions, which became the largest wrestling fans convention of that era, with the convention featuring Ric Flair (his FIRST signing ever), Buddy Rogers, Bruno Sammartino, Lou Thesz, Billy Graham, Fabulous Moolah and so many more! “I'd have preferred they made no movie at all…” - Eric On this week's episode, the Summer Blockbuster Extravaganza has us chatting about the total misfire of a superhero reboot, Fantastic Four (2015)! Yikes, folks! Why are all members of the Fantastic Four under legal drinking age in this movie? Why did we need to see Reed and Ben as little kids at the beginning like it's some bad studio comedy from the 1990s? Why did so many people think this gritty, harsh take on a traditionally goofy property was a smart move? Why are the Storms snooping around high school science fairs looking for children to snatch up? And couldn't they have pumped just a little more money into this Doctor Doom costume? PLUS: Look out for the most dangerous member of the Marvel Universe — The Pebble! Fantastic Four (2015) stars Miles Teller, Kate Mara, Michael B. Jordan, Jamie Bell, Toby Kebbell, Tim Blake Nelson, Dan Castellaneta, Chet Hanks, Tim Heidecker, and the late, great Reg E. Cathey as Dr. Franklin Storm; directed by Josh Trank. [EDITOR'S NOTE: While he's not in this FF film, we do mention Julian McMahon's performance as Dr. Doom in the Tim Story Fantastic Four films from 2005 and 2007. We recorded this about a month before Julian passed, so that's why it's not referenced here. McMahon was a great actor who, as we say in this episode, understood the assignment when playing Dr. Doom in those aughts films. Rest easy, Julian, a talented and very nice guy from all reports. — Andrew] Throughout 2025, we'll be donating 100% of our earnings from our merch shop to the Center for Reproductive Rights. So head over and check out all these masterful designs and see what tickles your fancy! Shirts? Phone cases? Canvas prints? We got all that and more! Check it out and kick in for a good cause! The Department of Education is about to get a whole lot smaller, following a Supreme Court ruling this week that the Trump administration can move forward with its mass layoffs plan. President Trump acknowledged the ruling as a tentative victory for education in America; however, the campaign to end the Education Department will still need authorization from Congress. In her interview with the Rundown, U.S. Education Secretary Linda McMahon directly addresses the concerns she has heard about ending the department and advocates for why the process could yield a better education system that works for all Americans. While the housing market has slowed in many areas, it remains unaffordable for numerous Americans, particularly first-time buyers. The average age of home buyers is now thirty-eight, as the high costs of homeownership and rising mortgage rates have deterred younger individuals from entering the market. Charles Payne, host of 'Making Money' on FOX Business, joins the podcast to discuss why housing is so unaffordable for young adults and how the Federal Reserve's decisions are negatively impacting middle- and low-income individuals.
