Coming Down the Pipe... [0:00] - The Season 21 intro montage for The Pipeline Show [1:14] - Guy's got the latest from the Memorial Cup and major changes within the Edmonton Oilers and Oil Kings organization too. [11:52] - A power forward who says that he models his game after the Tkachuk brothers, Dylan Dean had a solid rookie season for the Edmonton Oil Kings. Now, as he prepares for year 2, Dean reflects on how he got here and what is still ahead for him. He's ranked inside the Top 100 for NHL Central Scouting. [40:28] - Mike McMahon from College Hockey News is back on the program because the news cycle around NCAA hockey right now just never stops. When the NHL, CHL, USHL, USA Hockey and Commissioners of the various college hockey conferences are all on the same page saying that something is bad...it probably means that we should pay attention. [1:10:38] - You know him as "The Hockey Don" but this week Anthony Donati is the guest scout (maybe) to talk about some players from the NHL Draft Class of 2026.
Don Trump Jr just married Bettina Anderson on May 21, with a ceremony at a private island called Little Pipe Clay in the Bahamas on May 23. Bettina's family was there, Don's siblings where there but absent was President Trump, Melania and Barron. The event was a blip on the news cycle. In the circles of the elites nothing is coincidence. And once I started digging on this rabbit hole, I was left with more questions than answers. #BardsFM #LittlePipeClay #EmpireBuilding Bards Nation Health Store: www.bardsnationhealth.com MYPillow promo code: BARDS >> Go to https://www.mypillow.com/bards and use the promo code BARDS or... James W. Foley Jr., who on his passing in 1939 was eulogized as “North Dakota's unofficial poet laureate,” has always intrigued me. Not because of sublimity as a poet, although sometimes he surprises you with poems like “The Passing of the Prairie” or “The Garden of Yesterday.” More often he lapses into faux-vernacular rhetoric that doesn't age well. Sometimes he descends to cynicism. Overall his contemporary, Clell Gannon, is a better poetic exponent of the children of the pioneers on the northern plains.
Coming Down the Pipe... [0:00] - The intro montage for Season 21 of The Pipeline Show [1:14] - First Segment - A very brief intro to set up the Memorial Cup Preview Show [8:08] - Regan Bartel is the long serving radio voice of the Kelowna Rockets and provides this in-depth look at the host team ahead of the 2026 Memorial Cup. The Rockets will be heavy underdogs in each game but the team is capable of surprising if they bring their A+ game. Here is a closer look at the hosts. [37:19] - The Western Hockey League champion Everett Silvertips are on their way to the Memorial Cup in Kelowna fresh off their first ever WHL title. Broadcast voice Casey Bryant is back on the show to introduce the roster to an audience that may be watching the Silvertips for the very first time on the biggest stage in junior hockey. [1:08:50] - The OHL Champion Kitchener Rangers are on their way to the Memorial Cup in Kelowna and they are bringing with them an even dozen number of players that are already connected to NHL teams. Mike Farwell, the radio voice of the team, is our guest to take us through the roster in advance of the tournament. [1:40:48] - He was a game time decision to even make an appearance thanks to losing his voice but Francois Gingras gave us 100% for this short but sweet preview of the QMJHL champion Chicoutimi Sagueneens. Can the Sags cross the country and have success in Kelowna?

This week, on a special edition of the SPACInsider Podcast, we speak with Vik Mittal, managing member of Meteora Capital and Ivan Deryugin, head of research for the Americas at United First Partners. Together we discuss why the digital asset treasury strategy quickly turned from a SPAC-favorite play to falling out of favor over the past year. Ivan gets into the numbers on how some of these deals have become misaligned, particularly as crypto prices dropped. Vik shares his perspective as a both a PIPE investor in some of these transactions and as a SPAC sponsor searching in the space. In the latest episode of The Line Podcast, recorded on May 15, 2026, your hosts Matt Gurney and Jen Gerson start with Alberta. The new energy agreement has been signed. They think it'll help, but only to an extent, because what's happening in Jen's province isn't primarily economic. It's cultural. And a pipeline can't fix that. This episode of The Line Podcast is brought to you by Electro-Federation Canada. Canada's clean electricity grid gives us a competitive edge in attracting global investment — but to maintain that advantage our system needs to break down barriers and unlock the grid. Aging infrastructure, supply chain constraints, and outdated regulations threaten our ability to expand and modernize the grid — essential components of meeting future capacity needs. Electro-Federation Canada has developed a research-backed roadmap for grid readiness focused on smart policy and regulatory alignment. To learn more, visit MakeTheSwitch.ElectroFed.com.Next, they talk a bizarre story where the CBC (and APTN) chose to bankroll a so-called comedy group that was trying to "satirize" prominent people from Canada's heterodox right-wing, such as Frances Widdowson and Lindsay Shepherd. Your hosts walk you through the huge number of concerns here, but focus mostly on the CBC's role. This is not a good look for the public broadcaster, and guess what? The people your hosts have spoken among CBC's journalists get that. Very much so. Why didn't their bosses see the danger? This episode of The Line Podcast is also brought to you by Dominion Dynamics. Canada has never had true sovereign awareness of our North. Vast parts of our country are a blind spot. And when you can't see your own territory, you can't defend it, secure it, or respond when threats emerge. Dominion Dynamics is changing that. Dominion Dynamics is building a sovereign command and control capability that lets Canada and its allies see, respond, and defend across every domain. Dominion is starting in the Arctic, where extreme conditions demand technology no one else can deliver.Defend the Dominion. Dominion Dynamics.Learn more at DefendTheDominion.com.To wrap, they chat briefly about a few overlapping stories that suggest that the world has started to tune Donald Trump out. Matt wonders if that's going to work out — how will Americans, particularly MAGA Americans, end up getting what they want: a world that doesn't rely on American leadership, because we've tuned them out entirely? All that, and more, in the latest episode of The Line Podcast. Happy Victoria Day! We'll talk to you next week.#TheLinePodcast#AlbertaPolitics#CanadianPolitics#CBC#DonaldTrump#CanadaEnergy#PipelinePolitics#MAGA#MediaCriticism#CanadaUSRelations

Australian-born, California-raised Rob Machado is known for many things, but perhaps most of all he's known for making it look easy. After an accomplished amateur career, Machado, a member of the New School generation, joined the world tour in 1993. He rose to second overall in 1995, the year he famously high-fived Kelly Slater in the semifinals of the Pipe Masters with the title on the line. He finished in the top 16 in following years, including number three in 2000, the same year he won the Pipe Masters. But a broken wrist caused him to drop to 46th in 2001. He hoped to get the injury wild card into the 2002 season. But he didn't. At the time, after almost a decade on the world tour and numerous event wins, it felt like a slight. Now it looks like divine intervention. Machado set off on the path that he's been on for the last 20-plus years. Free surfing. Board exploration. Far-flung travel. One of the world's best surfers unshackled from the constraints of competition and let loose. Machado's been featured in many surf films, including Momentum in 1992, What's Next? in 1996, Thicker Than Water in 1999, Shelter in 2001, and The Drifter in 2009. He founded the Rob Machado Surf Classic in 1997. He's thrown the first pitch at more than one Padres game. He's jammed onstage with Eddie Vedder and Jack Johnson. The list goes on and on. In this episode of Soundings, Machado talks with Jamie Brisick about stepping away from competition, unlocking states of bliss in the water, the peak moments of his career, desire, creativity in surfing, and his high-five with Kelly Slater in the channel at Pipe. Presented by Rainbow® Sandals. Produced by Jonathan Shifflett. Music by PazKa (Aska Matsumiya & Paz Lenchantin). Become a TSJ member at surfersjournal.com.

The murder convictions in one of the most notorious criminal cases in Grand Junction history were tossed out, but there are still unanswered questions about the pipe bombings that killed two people in 1991. Taylor Brownstein, Director, Technology Investment Banking, TD Cowen joined Grayson Brulte on The Road to Autonomy podcast to discuss how Wall Street is funding the autonomy economy. The autonomous vehicle and truck markets are currently experiencing a healthy rebound from the 2021 to 2023 hype cycle, driven by real commercialization, the Physical AI tailwind, and a more disciplined investor base that is now focusing on companies that are growing businesses focused on commercialization, not just technology.Capital is king. Over the next 18 months or so, the autonomy markets are expected to consolidate as companies that are unable to raise capital, retain and hire talent will fall further behind, as their competitors continue to raise capital that accelerates their growth. In this market, dual use is one of the most compelling opportunities as the Department of War actively embraces automation and autonomy. Coming Down the Pipe... [0:00] - The Season 21 intro montage for The Pipeline Show [1:15] - Guy begins the episode with a recap of action in the CHL playoffs as well as the World U18s plus the USHL and AJHL before getting into the guest list. [12:27] - An abbreviated 2026 Draft Spotlight segment to feature Adam Valnetini of the Michigan Wolverines. The forward is currently with Canada playing at the World U18s in Slovakia. [23:49] - Tynan Lawrence is expected to be a high draft pick in the 2026 Draft this summer. He's moved from the USHL to the NCAA this year and now the Boston University Terrier is playing for Canada at the World U18s. [37:44] - We're talking draft eligible goalies with Derek Neumeier from McKeen's Hockey. The publication recently put out their Top 100 for the 2026 NHL Draft and there are six goalies among the names so we talk about them and wonder why there are no Canadians in that mix. [1:12:12] - The 2026 Draft Spotlight gets turned on and pointed towards Medicine Hat to shine on the dynamic duo of Liam and Markus Ruck. The twins finished the WHL regular season off as the top 2 scorers in the league and in this segment they discuss the upcoming series against the Prince Albert Raiders. We also talk about the draft, their path to Medicine Hat and much more. Do twins really have telepathy?
Let me ask you something. What if the presidents your history textbook told you were the greatest ones, Lincoln, Wilson, Roosevelt, were ranked that high precisely because they were the most useful to the people who write the rankings? What if the scorched earth tactics American soldiers carried out across Mexico, the American South, the Philippines, Dresden, and Fallujah were never aberrations, never the fog of war, never isolated incidents, but standing orders that got passed down from one conflict to the next and never rescinded? What if the man history handed you as the father of the New Deal was simultaneously building the first modern censorship apparatus in American political history, pressuring radio stations, newspaper editors, and magazine publishers to remove anyone who dared criticize his administration? Donald Jeffries has been asking those questions since he was a teenager sitting in Mark Lane's townhouse, lobbying Congress to reopen the Kennedy assassination investigation. That was the mid-1970s. He never stopped. In the 50 years since, he has built a body of work that no establishment institution will acknowledge and that hundreds of thousands of people have sought out anyway. Ten books. Hidden History. Survival of the Richest. Crimes and Cover-Ups in American Politics with a foreword by Ron Paul. Bullyocracy. On Borrowed Fame. Pipe the Bimbo in Red, his deep investigation into the New Orleans network at the center of the Kennedy assassination, co-written with the foremost expert on the medical evidence in the case. And now American Memory Hole: How the Court Historians Promote Disinformation, published by Skyhorse in 2024, the most comprehensive reckoning with what the official historical record actually is and who it actually serves. Tonight we go to the U.S.-Mexican War, where American troops first turned civilian targeting into official doctrine. We go to the Civil War, where primary source letters from Union officers brag about the gold and silver they stole from Southern women on the march to the sea. We go to Woodrow Wilson, the first public eugenicist in American political history, whose physician in charge of forced sterilization programs later appeared inside a Nazi concentration camp. We go to World War I, reframed not as a response to the death of Archduke Ferdinand but as a currency war that elevated the dollar above the British pound and killed millions of men to do it. We go to Joseph McCarthy, the man history handed you as a villain, stripped tonight of the Hollywood blacklisting he had nothing to do with, restored as a decorated combat veteran, as the first public figure to say Roosevelt knew Pearl Harbor was coming, as a man who died at 48 in a naval hospital with no autopsy and no explanation that holds up. We go to James Forrestal, the first prominent critic of Israel, pushed out of a window at Bethesda Naval Hospital, with McCarthy publicly naming it as murder, before McCarthy checked into that same hospital and never came back out. And we go to Dallas. To the document McGeorge Bundy drafted on the day of the assassination, before the president was dead, reversing Kennedy's Vietnam withdrawal order. To the 9:39 PM phone call in the JFK Jr. case, confirmed on unedited Coast Guard footage and then scrubbed from the official record. To the New Orleans network of Dean Andrews and Clay Shaw and David Ferrie, and the ground-level conspiracy that Jim Garrison spent his career and reputation trying to expose.

In this episode, Gerrit is joined by his brother Dallin as guest host while Richard is away following the passing of his father. After announcing the NCAA bracket winner and working through the mailbag, including a listener-made "Dendometer" chart ranking Gerrit's biggest pet peeves, the brothers tackle a question about whether Latter-day Saints will one day gather to Missouri to build the New Jerusalem, tracing the doctrine from early revelations through Brigham Young's teachings to the modern church's global gathering. The episode closes with tender reflections on losing a father and the hope of the Resurrection. Investigative journalist Steve Baker joins Jimmy to reveal that forensic gait analysis—using both AI (94% match) and human experts (98% match)—identifies former Capitol Police officer Shauni Kirkoff as the January 5th pipe bomber, not Brian Cole Jr., who Baker argues is being framed. Baker claims the devices were inert and that Kirkoff believed she was participating in a training exercise, noting she knew hidden blind spots and a secret gate, and that two plainclothes Capitol Police officers went directly to the bomb locations the next day. Baker adds that Kirkoff was already a CIA candidate before January 6th, that FBI whistleblowers say no one in their offices believes Cole is guilty, and that Cole's physical condition and autism make him incapable of the act. Baker was fired from Blaze Media over this reporting due to fear of a defamation lawsuit from Kirkoff's high-powered law firm. Plus segments on Candace Owens unloading on JD Vance for defending Erika Kirk and the phony "ceasefire" that will allow Israel to continue bombing Lebanon. Also featuring Kurt Metzger, Stef Zamorano and Mike MacRae. And a phone call from JD Vance!

Manufacturers are losing time and money managing freight modes in silos. Full truck load decisions happen in one workflow, less-than-truckload in another, and intermodal somewhere else entirely. The result is disconnected planning and hidden or obvious costs that quietly compound over timeManufacturers who unify their mode management under a single platform don't simply save money. "Document everything." Spring startup season exposes more than operational stress. It also reveals what happened months earlier when systems were laid up poorly, maintenance steps were skipped, or warning signs were documented but not acted on. In this episode, Trace Blackmore connects that reality to a broader infrastructure problem: hidden damage inside pressure piping systems that operators often cannot see until a leak, rupture, or budget crisis forces action. Why hidden pressure pipe problems are so expensive Chris McDonald, CEO and President of CPM Pipelines, explains why pressure pipe inspection and rehabilitation deserve more attention from utilities and industrial facilities. His core point is practical: many owners are still making repair or replacement decisions without first getting a high-resolution look at the pipe's actual condition. That creates two risks. First, teams may spend too late, after a failure creates public, operational, or safety consequences. Second, they may spend too much, replacing long stretches of pipe when only a targeted section actually needs rehabilitation. Chris argues that better inspection narrows uncertainty and helps owners avoid both extremes. Inspection first, then the right rehabilitation scope A major theme in the conversation is that CPM Pipelines works across both inspection and rehab, which changes how projects are evaluated. Chris notes that many inspection firms inspect, and many rehab firms rehabilitate, but few do both. That difference matters because the best answer is not always the biggest project. He shares an example of a recent force main inspection that showed half the line was in bad condition and half was in very bad condition, yet the data still allowed the agency to target the rehab scope precisely. According to Chris, that approach saved a small utility of almost $10 million. He also explains why trenchless rehab can often reduce project schedules from months to weeks and save roughly 50% compared with traditional dig-and-replace work. Leadership, documentation, and building the right team The conversation also moves beyond pipelines into business leadership. Chris reflects on entrepreneurship, the value of solution-driven work over commodity selling, and the importance of documenting systems early if a company intends to scale. He also emphasizes team alignment, core values, and recognizing quickly when someone is in the wrong seat. For owners and managers, that part of the episode is as useful as the technical discussion. The takeaway is clear: strong execution depends on both sound field data and disciplined internal systems. Pressure pipe problems are often invisible until they become urgent. This conversation shows why better inspection, better decision timing, and better documentation can improve both infrastructure outcomes and business results. Listen to the full conversation above. Chris describes how combining contracting and representation allows his team to inspect, assess and rehabilitate pipelines using high‑resolution inspection technologies and exclusive trenchless lining systems 18:44 — He argues that trenchless rehabilitation can cut costs by roughly 50 percent and reduce a six‑month dig‑and‑replace project to six weeks, noting that pressure‑pipe adoption has lagged due to access and bypass challenges but is beginning to change 21:14 — A recent force‑main inspection exemplifies their approach: high‑resolution data pinpointed a failing section, enabling targeted rehabilitation that saved a small utility nearly $10 million compared with wholesale replacement 22:40 — Chris and Trace discuss infrastructure sprawl and water billing; Chris observes that development patterns spread systems ever outward, straining budgets, yet people still balk at paying $20 for water while spending far more on cell phones 25:21 — CPM insists on inspecting pressure pipes before rehabilitation; Chris explains that many leaking pipes remain structurally sound and that sometimes replacing a short force main is cheaper than an inspection, whereas longer mains justify data‑driven decisions 32:08 — To find clients, the team monitors news for main failures, uses AI to scan meeting notes and leverages LinkedIn and ZoomInfo; Chris notes that industrial clients often have funds to act quickly while municipal agencies defer action until failures become public 34:49 — Many early pipe failures stem from random construction defects rather than gradual wear; detecting a dent hidden beneath coating may require high‑resolution tools because conventional models cannot predict these anomalies 40:49 — Chris emphasizes the importance of putting the right people in the right seats, recognizing bad fits quickly and hiring high‑level talent. CPM grows organically without borrowing money and values of alignment among employees, contractor partners and clients Quotes "If there's nobody else that sees value in what I do, whether or not I see value in it is irrelevant."
