On episode 191 of Kliq This, Big Sexy is back from the UK, and let's just say he has some thoughts on the difference between a "British" workout and a "Detroit" one. If you're looking for a dry recap, look elsewhere; this episode is about the "unfiltered" Nash experience. The Highlights The UK Roundup: Nash breaks down his recent tour across the pond. Expect stories about the grueling travel schedule, the hospitality (or lack thereof), and how he manages to maintain his physique while living on the road in a different time zone. The Je'Von Evans Firestorm: Nash addresses the backlash from his "Mr. Bojangles" and "urban" comments. He doesn't just walk it back; he digs into his philosophy on "edge" in wrestling and why he thinks the young star is being "over-pushed" in a direction that lacks grit. Wrestler Safety 101: From his terrifying 1997 descent as Sting to why "Hell in a Cell" should actually stay inside the cell, Nash gives a masterclass on the "tricks of the trade" that kept him walking (mostly) after decades in the ring. Financial Rants: He channels his inner Warren Buffett to tear into "modern-day Ponzi schemes" like Bitcoin and paper silver. If it doesn't produce something tangible, Big Kev isn't buying it. The "Mount Nashmore" of Booze: Who can actually hang with the big men after the show? Nash crowns his picks for the wrestlers who could hold their liquor, featuring the likes of The Undertaker, Stone Cold, and Scott Hall. Why It's a Must-Listen This isn't just a wrestling podcast; it's cultural commentary. Whether he's dissecting Trump's Canadian tariffs or explaining why Hulk Hogan used to hide his blade in his mouth, Nash remains the most opinionated—and arguably most entertaining—veteran in the game. 00:00 Kliq This #191: UK Roundup 00:56 Urban vs Rural 03:20 Robert Duvall 12:12 MT Nashmore Duvall 17:25 The Pay for Magic Mike 22:28 UK tour 24:41 Dropping "Snakes" 26:06 The Tour 28:53 Swerve Stickland 30:20 Tim Robinson 31:48 BREAK MUD/WTR 36:59 "Be Educating me" 39:17 "Kevin, This is how you remind me of how great the podcast is!" 41:01 Sean has no IDEA what body building is 41:56 Why kev work 48:19 "huge thing of your life" 50:20 Being gifted artwork 59:07 Justin Credible 01:00:44 KTTV 01:02:47 KEV I WATCHED RAW… 01:06:19 Jevon Evans 01:11:56 "One of the Good ones" 01:15:03 Jevon Evans' presentation 01:21:54 BREAK BLUECHEW 01:23:56 EC Predictions 01:27:32 FL vs NJ 01:29:41 VKM car crash 01:33:35 01:33:35 BREAK MANDO 01:37:58 ASKNASH 01:38:26 Swerve v Kenny 01:39:43 Why didn't Steve Austin put over Scott Hall at Wrestlemania 01:41:50 Reggie White 01:43:13 Ric Flair keeping his clothes on 01:43:55 Wrestlemania tickets looking bad 01:47:43 Running to the ring during the Royal Rumble 01:48:30 OUTRO

On episode 190 of Kliq This, Kevin Nash and Sean Oliver kick things off by examining the rapidly evolving world of AI-generated content, reacting to a shockingly realistic AI film featuring digital recreations of Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise. The duo debates whether this technology will ultimately replace traditional entertainment or remain a novelty, with Nash offering his characteristically skeptical take on the promises of Silicon Valley and the tech industry at large. The conversation shifts into the financial arena as Nash and Oliver dissect what they see as modern-day Ponzi schemes, from Bitcoin's volatile valuation to the murky world of precious metal ETFs. Nash channels his inner Warren Buffett, passionately arguing that nothing has true value unless it produces something tangible, while Oliver highlights the absurdity of paper silver trading at 350 times the amount of physical silver that actually exists. The pair also takes aim at Pam Bondi's now-infamous claim that the Dow crossed $50,000, using it as a springboard to discuss the current state of political and financial literacy. In the heart of the episode, Nash fields fan questions about the inherent dangers of professional wrestling, delivering a masterclass in ring safety. From his death-defying descent from the ceiling as Sting at World War 3 1997 to his philosophy on Hell in a Cell matches, chair shots, battle royals, and blading, Nash reveals the tricks of the trade that kept him safe over a decades-long career. He explains why he insisted that Hell in a Cell should stay "in" the cell, how he took chair shots without contact, and where wrestlers hide their blades — including Hulk Hogan's notorious habit of stashing his in his mouth. The Mount Ashmore segment crowns Nash's picks for wrestlers who could hold their booze, with The Undertaker, Steve Austin, Scott Hall, and Nash himself earning spots on the mountain. From there, the episode veers into Nash's hilarious gym stories — including a run-in with Nickelback-loving powerlifters — his meticulous approach to planning workouts on the road, and a weather report from a brutally cold Florida winter that cost him tens of thousands in landscaping. Nash and Oliver close out the show by tackling Trump's tariffs on Canada and the controversial delay of the Gordie Howe Bridge, with Nash connecting the dots between billionaire bridge owner Matty Moroun's influence and the political maneuvering behind the scenes. The episode wraps with a heartfelt look at the real-world impact on Canadian snowbirds in the Daytona Beach area, proving once again that Kliq This is equal parts wrestling history, cultural commentary, and unfiltered conversation. Welcome back to The Lawcast! This time our hosts cover No Way Out 2002, featuring the NWO's debut in the WWF.It's a chaotic and tumultuous time as the WWF tries to recover from the failure of Steve Austin's heel turn and the WCW invasion. They have two surefire hits on their hands with Triple H's return from injury and the NWO. Surely those can't fail, right? Right? We've got Chris Jericho defending his Undisputed Championship against Steve Austin, Kurt Angle vs. Triple H for the main event of Wrestlemania, and The Rock vs. The Undertaker. We also recap the Royal Rumble and talk about CM Punk and Roman Reigns facing off in the main event of Wrestlemania
Episode 187 starts in one place and ends up everywhere. Big ideas, sharp detours, and the kind of conversations that only happen when nobody is sticking to a rundown. If you like episodes where you don't quite know where the next turn is coming from, this one lives in that lane. There's a lot of side-eye at the state of media right now. What we pay for it, what we actually use, and why some things still feel non-negotiable no matter how many streaming apps exist. It turns into a broader conversation about habits you can't quite shake, even when technology says you should. Money comes up, but not in the obvious way. Less "hot takes," more real-world perspective. Value, scarcity, and why certain things suddenly feel heavier than they did just a few years ago. It's not a lecture, but it's not nothing either. Wrestling threads weave in and out without ever taking over. Careers, longevity, expectations, and how fans talk about performers versus what those performers actually give up. It's reflective without being sentimental, and blunt without trying to be edgy. And because it's this show, it doesn't end without drifting into pop culture, nostalgia, and a few questions that absolutely did not need definitive answers but got debated anyway. Capitol and Kayfabe - Exploring the Intersection of Wrestling and Politics. This week, hosts Jack Hunter and John Poz discuss WWE Royal Rumble, AEW in Australia, Trey Miquel release, CM Punk, Steve Austin, Rand Paul, ICE, Don Lemon, Donald Trump, and much more!About Capitol and KayfabeCapitol and Kayfabe is a podcast that explores the intersection of political issues and professional wrestling. Hosted by John Poz and Jack Hunter, the show offers in-depth discussions on current events, political figures, and wrestling legends, providing a unique take on both worlds.
With This Ring #76: Royal Rumble 2001 Cindy and Ryan are back in the saddle and looking at 2001. We look at an all-time show, starting off a hot streak of great shows. We talk about how the Trish Stratus/Vince McMahon relationship as it continues to dominate the World title scene. We talk about the re-boot the WWE would do in early January, usually the first Raw after Monday Night Football, setting the course for the Royal Rumble after a typically slow Christmas and New Year shows. Topics we talk about include: Kurt Angle and Steve Austin having a damn good wrestling match as the main event of Raw until, we all have to remember how important Triple H is. We start with the show proper with a rarity for this era: a straight-up, non-gimmick, really strong tag team match between the Dudleys and Edge and Christian. We talk quite a bit about Drew Carey and the Drew Carey show and Drew Carey's Improv All Stars and how Drew gets involved in this show, with such an impressive showing where he would be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame. We talk about the Canadian Chrisses having a good, but now in hindsight kind of squeamish match. A ridiculous Chyna/Ivory “match” where doing a flip and making minimal contact with 120 pound Ivory somehow breaks Chyna's neck. Triple H/Kurt Angle having a pretty good match, which is split into a Trish/Stephanie/Vince segment and then follows with their strong World title match. A great Rumble, featuring an all-time performance by Kane, Drew Carey, the Rock going 40 minute, Big Show's unsuccessful fat farm stay, Stone Cold getting bloodied before he even enters and the return of HAKU! All this and much more. Enjoy!

Kris and David are joined by Dominic Garrini (@dgarrinibc) to discuss the week that was January 16-22, 1997. Topics of discussion include:Royal Rumble '97 at the Alamo Dome in San Antonio, featuring a flu-ridden Shawn Michaels winning the WWF Title from Sycho Sid, a weirdly booked Royal Rumble won by "Stone Cold" Steve Austin, lots of AAA wrestlers on the show despite the fans having no idea who they were, and lots more.Raw the next night featuring a very angry Bret Hart as he "quits" before coming back later to attack Austin, as the tone of the company is starting to change more and more.A wild and wooly episode of Shotgun Saturday Night as Terry Funk gets unhinged in a bar in San Antonio, which also features the very first televised match between Hunter Hearst Helmsley and Rocky Maivia. The Triple Crown and AJPW World Tag Team Titles both change hands in a matter of a few days in All Japan.Giant Baba meeting with Atsushi Onita about possibly working together.Mark Kerr making his MMA debut in Brazil. The famous John Lober vs. Frank Shamrock fight in Hawaii.ECW running a TV taping in Scranton that was very newsworthy, plus an update on their upcoming PPV.The Nation of Domination in full effect on Memphis TV, featuring Tracy Smothers as Shaquille Ali and much more, including Jeff Conaway from “Taxi” and “Grease” as Mike Samples' new buddy.Chris Benoit and Kevin Sullivan just beat the hell out of each other on consecutive nights at a record breaking Nitro in Chicago and then the Clash of the Champions special in Milwaukee."Macho Man" Randy Savage makes his return to WCW on Nitro and aligns himself with Sting in a definite "What could've been?” storyline. It's always great having Dom join us, and he was great as usual, as this ended up being a helluva show!!Timestamps:0:00:00 WWF2:19:37 Japan: AJPW, NJPW, BattlARTS, IWA Kakuto-Shijuku, WAR, Wrestle Yume Factory, Pancrase, RINGS, AJPW, GAEA, & Jd'2:54:22 Classic Commercial Break2:58:22 Halftime4:05:05 Latin America: AAA, CMLL, Promo Azteca, & WWC4:24:34 Western MMA & Indie Wrestling: WVT/IVC, Superbrawl, Eastern Shores, New Jack City, ECW, USWA, & World Class II6:00:02 WCWTo support the show and get access to exclusive rewards like special members-only monthly themed shows, go to our Patreon page at Patreon.com/BetweenTheSheets and become an ongoing Patron. This episode of Kliq This captures Kevin Nash and Sean Oliver at their most unfiltered, tackling the kind of conversations that only happen when the microphones stay on and nothing is off limits. From the jump, the show leans into uncomfortable territory, blending cultural commentary, wrestling philosophy, and blunt honesty in a way few podcasts even attempt. The discussion around Mick Foley, WWE, and personal lines in the sand becomes one of the most thoughtful exchanges the show has ever had. Nash explains where loyalty, history, and personal relationships collide with modern politics, and why walking away is not always as simple as it sounds. It is not a debate for soundbites. It is a real look at how veterans of the business process the world they helped build. On the wrestling side, Nash gives a deep, critical breakdown of John Cena's final moments, why the finish mattered, and why the reaction to it misses the point. This is not nostalgia for nostalgia's sake. It is a masterclass in understanding character, legacy, and what "going home" actually means when a career ends the right way. The episode also dives into what comes next for WWE without Cena, how Gunther was positioned, what did and did not work, and why true heat is harder to manufacture now than ever before. Nash does not fantasy book for clicks. He explains what he would have changed and why those details matter long term. As always, the show rounds out with sharp listener questions, off-the-rails humor, and the kind of stories only Kevin Nash can tell. This is Kliq This doing what it does best. Thoughtful, confrontational, funny, and unapologetically real. In this installment of the Big Five Project, the guys pull a bit of double duty here. The Episode begins with a conversation about John Cena's final match and his legacy in professional wrestling. They delve into the GOAT debate, comparing Cena to other wrestling legends like Hulk Hogan and Steve Austin. At the tail end of the Episode, Dave breaks down how that final match went and addresses the more controversial aspects of it. In between all that though, the discussion transitions to the King of the Ring 1996 tournament, highlighting its significance in wrestling history, including the impact of Mankind's debut on the Undertaker's career and the first true emergence of Stone Cold Steve Austin. The King of the Ring 1996 event marked a pivotal moment in WWE history, showcasing the rise of Stone Cold Steve Austin and the beginning of his iconic persona with the famous Austin 3:16 promo. But, the event featured several other memorable matches, including the beginning of a legendary rivalry between Mankind and Undertaker, as well as Ahmed Johnson's historic win as the first black Intercontinental Champion. The main event saw Shawn Michaels retain his title against the British Bulldog, while the chaotic post-match scene set the stage for future storylines. Overall, the event highlighted the downturn of WWE's business compared to WCW, yet it also provided a platform for rising stars and iconic moments that would shape the future of professional wrestling.About the Chairshot Radio NetworkLaunched in 2017, the Chairshot Radio Network presents you with the best in sports, entertainment, and sports entertainment. “The Champ… is here.” Join Ian and special guest Stew from The Stew World Order Podcast as we sit down at the Ringside Roundtable to take a deep-dive look at one of the most polarizing, celebrated, and influential wrestlers in WWE history — John Cena. Across nearly two decades, Cena went from Ruthless Aggression rookie to the face of an entire era, and this special episode breaks down every chapter of his career with honesty, insight, and maybe a few “You Can't See Me” jokes. This week we discuss the following while debating we can be seen or not: Our Cena origin stories — Ruthless Aggression debuts, the Undertaker handshake, the F-U era, the rapper gimmick, and the pivot to PG's Hustle, Loyalty, Respect. Which version of Cena did we meet first? What made Cena appealing — why kids adored him, whether his “Never Give Up” mantra was authentic, and if he was secretly underrated in-ring all along. Where the hate came from — the roots of the Cena Sucks movement, the difference between hating the booking and hating Cena himself, and whether fans resented how “corporate” he felt. Was the backlash justified? — did fan criticism have merit, or did Cena silence doubters with consistently strong, big-match performances later in his career? Cena's in-ring legacy — how good he actually was bell-to-bell, the key matches that define his style, and whether “Super Cena” booking helped or hindered him. The Cena character — iconic or limiting? Should he have turned heel? And how effective was his mic work beyond the occasional goofy promo? Did Cena make stars… or bury them? — who benefitted most from working with him (Owens, Styles, Umaga) and who fans believe he held back. Was Cena good for wrestling overall? — did he grow the audience or preside over decline? Was his mainstream presence a net positive? And did WWE rely on him too heavily? Cena's cultural footprint — is he WWE's last true megastar? How Make-A-Wish shaped his legacy, and whether Hollywood changed how fans view him today. Cena vs. modern WWE — how he'd fare if he debuted now, how his style fits today's product, and whether Roman Reigns is truly Cena 2.0. The endgame — did Cena step away at the right time? Should Gunther be his final opponent? Is Saturday Night's Main Event the right farewell? Does he need one last WrestleMania moment? Defining rivalries — the feuds that shaped his career, whether he elevated or overshadowed opponents, and our Top 5 Cena Rivalries each. Cena's legacy — where he ranks all-time, how defining he was for the PG Era, and how his longevity compares to Hulk Hogan, Steve Austin, The Rock, and Roman Reigns. And finally, the verdict — was John Cena good or bad for wrestling? Has history softened the criticism? And what is his true legacy when everything is weighed together? Happy (belated) Thanksgiving! As is tradition in wrestling, that of course means it is Survivor Series time. Ryan and Cindy continue their trek at Survivor Series 2000. When we last left we were among accusations that the Rock had told Rikishi to hit Steve Austin with his car, and newly crowned WWF Champion Kurt Angle looked to be heading to a feud with Triple H. We start by talking about the sudden change in direction, with Triple H benign the mastermind of hitting Steve Austin and the Undertaker becoming #1 contender. We look at Molly Holly debuting against T&A and Trish Stratus along with Ivory RTC women's title run. We look at the return of the Radicalz and Road Dogg dressing even more ridiculous than ever. The Chris Jericho/Kane coffee feud. Rock/Rikishi having a really fun hate filled match. Kurt Angle taking on Undertaker in his snake themed pants. TWIN MAGIC! A long, long brawl with Triple H and Steve Austin and the new Survivor Series tradition: ATTEMPTED MURDER! We then go to Smackdown for the 2nd annual Smackdown food fight! All this and much more. Enjoy!
