Bret Hart is the best there is, the best there was, and the best there ever will be! The WWE Hall of Famer has been criticized over the years for his complaining, so we ask you this, Is Bret Hart bitter or is Bret Hart right? In this episode we dive deep starting from July 2nd, 1957 when Bret Sergeant Hart was born and talk his early career, things seem great in the beginning, but as Bret Hart rose to the top of the WWF, someone else had there eyes on his prize and we see the end of a friendship with the biggest star of them all, Hulk Hogan. Listen and here what caused the end of this friendship. As his career in the WWF skyrocketed, so didn't Hart's pay... signed to an unusual deal... Vince McMahon, owner of the WWF suggests Bret looks at WCW. Hart still the WWF Champion, gets a royal screw job in Montreal as we know as The Montreal Screw Job! While signed to WCW, Owen Hart, Bret's brother would pass on May 23rd, 1999. In that same year in December, Goldberg would deliver the, "kick heard around the world." By January 2000, Bret Hart wrestles his last match against Kevin Nash after learning about Post Concussion Syndrome.Towards the end of his career, Bret Hart was dealt some crummy blows that weren't fair to him and a lot he missed out on in his career. Twenty-six years later, Bret Hart still takes shots at Goldberg for ending his career, Eric Bischoff for not using him right in WCW, Hulk Hogan for never putting him over and holding him back in WCW, The Kliq and many others. Basically a podcast of accumulated rants and recaps that involve wrestling and personal mental health over the last week but throughout the podcast I did recaps of the last 2 weeks of shows of WWE Raw, NXT and Smackdown, AEW Dynamite/Collision and TNA but not Emergence, but rants about irrational thoughts I needed to get off my chest, wrestlers using social media to criticize other wrestlers who use social media, Karrion Kross worked shoots, WWE counter programming, media scrum discourse, when we pick and choose when we are being worked, some of this podcast was recorded when we didn't know if Naomi was injured or pregnant, Vince McMahon resurfacing as a discourse character,Mariah May being piled on from toxic fandom, TNA possible sale, people predicting CM Punk's eventual blow up in WWE, TK hates EVIL, Triple H body shaming discourse and again this is a bipolar podcast and not everything is fact and is my theory or interpretation
On this edition of GFA Live, Peter and Keithie talk about WrestleMania 6 from April 1, 1990! (and some other stuff, of course!) Topics of discussion include: * Noticing an odd constellation in space during Vince McMahon's opening intro to WM6 * Trying to estimate Sapphire's actual weight on Earth * The end of Andre the Giant and how it got sadder * Sensational Sherri: ahead of her time and match MVP * Ultimate Warrior gives what can only be described as a heel promo * Peter tries to change Keithie's mind about Steve Allen because of his wordplay * Heel heatup matches that did what they needed to do * Trying to book Perfect vs Beefcake for SummerSlam if Brutus didn't get hurt

This is the episode where Chyna finally gives into Eddie Guerrero's advances and we start the memorable storyline between the two of them. Plus, Big Show goes Hollywood with an attempt at an evolution of his character. Plus, the Hardcore Title chronicles continue. The big dogs stay home on Saturday nights! In this episode of Wrasslin' Raw, the boys view the fallout of SummerSlam, and a generally weak episode of Monday Night Raw. Vince McMahon baits the Undertaker and Kane, who go on a smearing streak through the whole episode, while less-than-interesting matches featuring Southern Justice and Los Boricuas get their full time on the card. It says something when Tiger Ali Singh is one of the most entertaining things in an episode- pucker up, sardine lips!

There were big expectations in 2017 for the Baywatch movie. 21 Jump Street had shown that raunchy, irreverent takes on cheesy '80s and '90s TV shows could earn bofo box office, and with the dual star power of Dwayne Johnson and Zac Efron, it looked as if Baywatch couldn't miss. But critics hated it and the movie was a flop at the box office, canceling Paramount's big plans for a Baywatch Cinematic Universe. So, what happened? And is the movie really as bad as its reputation? What does this movie think it is? Is it a raunchy R-rated comedy that wants to mock its source material? Or is it a loving tribute to the most-watched series in the world in the 1990s? It's… kind of neither. Does The Rock make any sense in the lead role of Lieutenant Mitch Buchanan, or has he fully entered the “most boring actor in every movie he's in” portion of his career? Why does the movie suddenly start working as a surprisingly functional comedy when The Rock inexplicably disappears from the movie for 25 minutes and Efron takes over as the lead? Join Laci, Matt, and our official Zac Efron correspondent Caleb for a spirited debate about a movie we're actually pretty divided on. Plus a deep dive into the history of Baywatch and an in-depth look at Dwayne Johnson's extended business empire. The Summer of Rock is our summer 2025 miniseries covering the movie career of Dwayne Johnson through nine movies, presented in chronological order. Starting with his attempt at crossing over from the world of wrestling, The Rock's career got off to a bumpy start before finally taking off in the 2010s. But it wasn't long before the bumps returned, and we'll be telling the story for you all summer long! Vince McMahon appeared on TMZ's "The Real Hulk Hogan" and his looks were... concerning.
Bobby Lashley has been chosen by Donald Trump to go against Umaga in the Hair vs. Hair Battle of the Billionaires but tonight he's going to have to defend the ECW World Title against Hardcore Holly in a Steel Cage Match but Vince McMahon has something to add that leaves Hardcore Holly smiling and loving his chances. In another Money in the Bank qualifying match Sabu takes on Mr. Kennedy (Kennedy). And the saga between the ECW Originals and The New Breed continues as Rob Van Dam and Tommy Dreamer go up against Kevin Thorn and Marcus Cor Von. In Episode 26, Keith and Shawnn bring two fresh takes that question long-standing assumptions in the world of pro wrestling. One revisits a bold exit from the 1980s, the other reimagines what it means to win the Royal Rumble. Both takes are sure to spark conversation. Shit-Take #1 (Shawn): "Tom Zenk did the right thing by walking out on Vince McMahon in 1987." Shawn argues that Tom Zenk's decision to leave the WWF during a promising run as part of The Can-Am Connection wasn't a misstep — it was a principled stand. This take explores the importance of self-worth, business disagreements behind the scenes, and why Zenk's choice might have been more forward-thinking than most give him credit for. Shit-Take #2 (Keith): "The Royal Rumble winner should be able to challenge for any title, not just the world title." Keith proposes expanding the stakes of the Royal Rumble. Instead of locking the winner into a world title match at WrestleMania, this take suggests giving them the freedom to challenge for any championship — whether it's the Intercontinental, U.S., or even tag team gold. The idea reframes the Rumble as a more open-ended path to WrestleMania.

The big homies at Tapology this month revealed their own new computerized ranking system for MMA fighters — and, friends, they went big. The new Tapology rankings don't just break down the Top 10 like your standard media rankings or the Top 15 like the UFC “rankings” do. Nope, they rank EVERY UFC FIGHTER IN EVERY WEIGHT CLASS. Can you imagine the potentially hilarious implications? Anyway, Very Serious Journalist Ben Fowlkes caught up with Tapology's Gregory Saks to talk about developing the new system (sounds like it was not easy) for an article on the Uncrowned. This week on the CME, we discuss. Plus, it sucks to get cut from the UFC after a win (sorry, Martin Buday), Hector Lombard vs. Cheick Kongo in pillow fighting, and what's with WWE bringing back Brock Lesnar not too long after he was named in the Vince McMahon sex trafficking lawsuit?
