This podcast is created for those that have recently began working in a restaurant to prepare them for the weirdest, most funny restaurant stories that are told from the Restaurant Veterans themselves. Both Rookies and Vets are sure to enjoy listening and relating to our industry family!
I went to 2 new restaurants this week and they didn't disappoint
Still not famous but felt like it for a brief moment.
After 107 days of work straight, I can see the light at the end of the tunnel!
Nothing too funny but just a little update on my 90 days straight of work and wishing I could see the sun.
Just be kind to people and don't be entitled idiots, it's that simple. Plus a funny tale to make you smile.
But I still want to be invited! I cannot spend money or be around craziness anymore. I just want to watch reality tv and drink on my couch.
I know this has nothing to do with a restaurant but here's the reason I haven't been uploading much.
It was officially my last day on Friday so listen up and hear how it went.
I weirdly get choked up thinking about leaving the restaurant and I apologize for it. But here's a little life update.
And I don't mean a shift at the restaurant. Changes are upon us in 2025.
I had a restaurant related dream but unfortunately I only remember all the non restaurant related deets.
Not much happened at the restaurant this week so here's a little catch up on my life and a happy thanksgiving to all!
Finally I'm not ranting and complaining, sort of. Enjoy!
Here we go again. Another rant. I promise to be happy and funny soon.
I apologize for the long rant but it's been a “week.”
The idiots that don't tip are ignorant and my manager was accused of being ignorant by an angry man.
We had an inspection and it just makes me think twice about my life.
I can't with the people lately.
I can't with people anymore. I am not holding back.
Got one for the first time in 14 years and I didn't even know they liked me!
Not super restaurant related but still hilarious
I guess all I ever do is whine but I have to pay my bills so I can't help it!
Ugh it was an exhausting graduation weekend but we made it!
Like for real to the point that I'm searching the floor for money and voluntarily picking up a 4th serving shift.
I was woken up by the SWAT team this morning and also didn't realize how much I've been through at the restaurant the last 14 years, so buckle up!
And get the story because I'm watching live reality tv and need the background information!
I was sent an email request to apply for a reality tv server job, so cross your fingers for me boys and girls!
Here's some hotel crazy people because the restaurant just sucks.
We're all going to quit very soon if this is the new normal.
We are being forced to tip out now and are, in the end, going to be paying to work at the restaurant. Find out why!
Bad things only happen to me MOST of the time, but I suppose not all of the time.
My water is shut off and I got stiffed by a party of 17 so hear me on the edge of a mental breakdown.
I never thought karma would ever have my back but for once, she did.
Lots of ungrateful people this week at both jobs but mostly ungrateful old people.
These people and going to make me lose my mind. More than I already have.
It's the last episode of the year so you shouldn't expect anything less than a rant.
Sorry I went m.i.a. but you can't really record a podcast without a voice.
Don't be a secret shopper. Why ruin someone's job? As you can tell, I got shopped and failed.
Where did all of these dweebs come from and why are they going to a restaurant at 10:30pm?
Old people are the worst. Period.
Here's my version of a college course on serving. Enjoy!
I wish that this was an awesome celebration but staying positive is hard. I appreciate anyone who has supported me these 4 years and still listens.
I finally have a guest! I was traumatized by the loss of the last episode that I had a guest on in November that was never recovered but now I am back in business!
My schedule will be changing and I'm hoping it's for the best but we shall see where life takes me.
No matter what, losing someone you work with is never easy. Sorry to post a sad one but I felt it was necessary.
Here's a few stories from my week before I go on vacation!
Some weirdo took a photo of me and of course I'm thinking the worse.
Here's a life update that no one asked for.
I had a table catch me completely off guard on Saturday by doing a very sweet gesture for another table.
I graduated a decade ago and it reminded me of graduation parties at the restaurant. I talked to other restaurant workers about corporate restaurants and got my feelings hurt by a kitty.
If you stiff a server ESPECIALLY when you're a party, you better tip or karma better get you.
