Jacob did a lot of things wrong, but he did at least two things right: He allowed God to encounter him and he loved Joseph unconditionally. Jesus gave us insight into the best way to have a relationship with God: Steal away with him. Keep from seeking people's praise or recognition. Expect a reward from your Father instead -- He's good and wants to reward you!! And about those people who show how generous they are, and parade their prayer lives for everyone to see -- don't be like them. Why? If we adapt to God's view of community we will see our relationships change. In this message, Pastor Anton opens Acts 2 to share the four pillars of community, and how they can apply to our lives today. 

In the middle of a powerful teaching on the blood of Jesus, the book of Hebrews tells us that believers in Jesus must be in community to stay on track. Many people neglect community because they don't feel fed or ministered to, but Hebrews 10 actually tells us to be in community to help others!!  Listen as Pastor Anton shares actions we can take that will help keep us and others on track.

Jesus' motivation was never self-promotion, preservation or manipulation. He didn't help and heal in order to better "use" people later. He doesn't do that now. John 3:16 & 17 tell us God's motivation for sending Jesus, and for all Jesus did when He walked the earth. They also tell us what His motivation wasn't.
