Today's Witness I am reading from the book, Chicken Soup for the Soul, "A book of Miracles: 101 True Stories of Healing, Faith, Divine Intervention, and Answered Prayers." My mother-in-law bought me the book for my birthday this year, and I thought it might be good to share a story with you here and there for Witness Wednesday. We have all seen God working in our lives. However, we might not all be aware it is God working in our lives.  This is why it is so important we start talking about it more.  The more we share our experiences, the more people understand how God works and how much He truly loves us.  If you would be willing to share any experience of how God has worked or is working in your life, please email me at catherine@findingtruenorthcoaching.com or click here.  It won't take up much of your time, and your story could be just the story that someone needs to hear today.  Prayerfully consider sharing.  Everyone has a story, and the world needs to hear them. Keep Waiting, Your Answered Prayers Are ComingJames 5:7-8 “Be patient, therefore, beloved, until the coming of the Lord. The farmer waits for the precious crop from the earth, being patient with it until it receives the early and the late rains.  You also must be patient. Strengthen your hearts, for the coming of the Lord is near.”When I read this today, I thought it was a good verse because, let's be honest, who doesn't need more patience? However, I also thought it was a good word because so many of us are going through something that we wish we weren't. We wish God would take it from us, or heal us of it. We are tired of waiting, and we feel ready to move forward. This verse says to be patient until the coming of the Lord. It can also apply to your situation. Be patient, beloved, until you are healed from whatever is ailing you. Be patient, beloved, until I answer those questions for you. Be patient, beloved, until I find you that job or approve the disability claim. Be patient, beloved, until your loved one is healed. Be patient, beloved, until I make you healthy enough to answer my call.Did you know that God calls you beloved? Did you know that you are the one that Jesus loves? In the Gospel of John, he refers to himself as the one that Jesus loved, or the beloved apostle. Did you know you can refer to yourself this way as well? You are beloved in the eyes of the Lord. You are the one that Jesus loves. John was not being conceited when he said this. He was just that sure of Jesus's love for him. We would all be in a better place if we were all that secure that we are at the one that Jesus loved.I think this verse is a beautiful illustration of what it looks like to have patience. Imagine how hard it is for the farmer to plant a crop and then just wait for it to grow. Imagine planting a seed in the ground and then watering it and just waiting with patience, even though you can't see anything growing. Seeds typically take a few days to a couple of weeks to germinate and start growing, depending on the type of seed and the conditions provided. After germination, the growth phase can last from a few weeks to several months before the plant is fully grown. Can you imagine having to wait that long to see something grow? Some of you have been waiting a lot longer than a few months for God to answer your prayers. Some of you have been waiting for years. You have been waiting so long that it's hard to remember a time before you were sick, depressed, or injured. You can barely remember a time when you weren't struggling with money or having enough food to eat. I understand how frustrating this is. I struggled for over 10 years with my kids and my husband. There was constant fighting and anger in our home. Every day, there would be at least one fire to put out, and some days, most days, there were many. It was exhausting, and patience was something I didn't always have.I didn't know how long this would last. I didn't know how much more I could take. I felt like I was at the end of what I could handle many, many times. Yet the Lord always helped me to keep moving forward. He helped me to get up each morning with renewed strength. A strength I needed and one that was always enough, even when it didn't feel like it would be. The Lord is with you in your situation as well. He is right there with you. He is protecting you and comforting you. He is giving you untold strength.I heard a testimony yesterday at a prayer group that is an excellent example of what God can do for us in difficult situations. My friend was in a lot of pain, and she was offering that pain up to the Lord. For an hour, she was talking to the Lord and letting Him know that she wanted to offer up this suffering for anyone who needed it. After an hour, she cried out to the Lord and told her that she couldn't take this pain anymore. She wanted to endure it for those in need, but the pain was too great. Immediately, the Lord helped her to fall asleep, and when she woke up, the situation causing the pain had resolved itself. He has done this for me, too. About 6 weeks after Noah was born, my appendix burst, and I needed to go to the Emergency Room. After they discovered it was my appendix, they said I would need surgery. This occurred around 3 am, and the surgeon was not scheduled to arrive until 5 or 6 am. I started to have what I think was a panic attack. I wasn't sure how to describe what was happening, but I knew I needed to stop thinking about the surgery. I prayed that God would help me fall asleep until it was time for the surgery, and that is precisely what happened. I fell asleep and did not wake up until right before they wheeled me into the surgery.God sees you. He knows what it is you need. He hears you crying out. He hears you telling Him, “This is it, this is all I can take. I can't go on anymore.” God hears you, and He knows it is not true. You feel you can't go on, but he knows how strong you are, and He knows you can do all things through Him. He knows the perfect time to lift you from this. He knows the consequences of rescuing too early. He knows what will happen if he pulls you out of a pit that you were meant to climb out of on your own.I know it is hard to have patience and that it feels like God has abandoned you. He has not. Just keep crying out to Him. Just keep believing that He will bring you out of this. He will save you. He will give you the strength to make it to another day. He is in this. You can do this! You can hold on. You have the power of the Holy Spirit, the one who raised Jesus from the dead, living inside of you. You can hold on!!Dear Heavenly Father, please give each person listening the courage and the strength to keep moving forward. Lord, help us to wait with patience, just as farmers do. Help us to know and believe that you will answer our prayers at the perfect time. Lord, give us renewed hope. Help us to remember all the times in the past that you have answered our prayers. We love you, Lord. You are so faithful. We ask all of this in accordance with your will and in Jesus's holy name, Amen!Thank you so much for joining me on this journey to walk boldly with Jesus. When life's troubles seem overwhelming, Psalm 34 offers hope rooted in David's desperate escape from enemy territory. Dr. John explores this beloved psalm, where David credits his deliverance entirely to God's faithfulness rather than his own clever schemes. The commentary reveals three secrets for godly living: finding true life through righteousness, facing trouble by crying out to God, and maintaining patience while waiting for deliverance. Though afflictions are many, God delivers the faithful.Reasons for Worship: In a world of political turmoil, personal struggles, and the apparent prosperity of evil, where should believers place their trust? Dr. John's series on Psalms 33–41 called “Reasons for Worship” explores God's faithfulness amid life's challenges. From David's escapes to his reflections on the wicked, these psalms offer practical wisdom for trusting God, finding hope in desperate circumstances, and keeping faith when evil seems to prevail. This series brings both comfort and challenge, pointing to the God who is completely trustworthy in every season.

Garth Heckman The David Alliance TDAgiantSlayer@Gmail.com    In the ESPN 85 Bears documentary one of my favorite stories told is by Mike Singletary trying to figure out his coach Buddy Ryan. He said to another player… he hates me. But his friend on his team said no you misunderstand Buddy. He loves you, you just need to shut your mouth and say yes sir. No matter what Buddy says, just shut your mouth and say yes sir… Shutting the mouth is hard to do, and thats where we are going today.    Luke 1: 5 There was in the days of Herod, the king of Judea, a certain priest named Zacharias, of the division of Abijah. His wife was of the daughters of Aaron, and her name was Elizabeth. 6 And they were both righteous before God, walking in all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord blameless. 7 But they had no child, because Elizabeth was barren, and they were both well advanced in years. 8 So it was, that while he was serving as priest before God in the order of his division, 9 according to the custom of the priesthood, his lot fell to burn incense when he went into the temple of the Lord. 10 And the whole multitude of the people was praying outside at the hour of incense. 11 Then an angel of the Lord appeared to him, standing on the right side of the altar of incense. 12 And when Zacharias saw him, he was troubled, and fear fell upon him. 13 But the angel said to him, “Do not be afraid, Zacharias, for your prayer is heard; and your wife Elizabeth will bear you a son, and you shall call his name John. 14 And you will have joy and gladness, and many will rejoice at his birth. 15 For he will be great in the sight of the Lord, and shall drink neither wine nor strong drink. He will also be filled with the Holy Spirit, even from his mother's womb. 16 And he will turn many of the children of Israel to the Lord their God. 17 He will also go before Him in the spirit and power of Elijah, ‘to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children,' and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just, to make ready a people prepared for the Lord.” 18 And Zacharias said to the angel, “How shall I know this? For I am an old man, and my wife is well advanced in years.” 19 And the angel answered and said to him, “I am Gabriel, who stands in the presence of God, and was sent to speak to you and bring you these glad tidings. 20 But behold, you will be mute and not able to speak until the day these things take place, because you did not believe my words which will be fulfilled in their own time.”   And now you will be silent and unable to speak This phrase indicates a divine judgment and sign given to Zechariah, the father of John the Baptist. The silence serves as both a punishment for disbelief and a sign of the truth of the angel Gabriel's message. In biblical times, being unable to speak was often seen as a sign of divine intervention. This mirrors other instances in Scripture where God uses physical conditions to convey a message, such as the blindness of Saul (Acts 9:8-9) before his conversion to Paul.   until the day this comes to pass This specifies the duration of Zechariah's muteness, linking it directly to the fulfillment of the prophecy concerning the birth of John the Baptist. It underscores the certainty of God's promises and the importance of faith. The temporary nature of the punishment also highlights God's mercy and the restoration that follows obedience and fulfillment of His word.   because you did not believe my words This phrase highlights the reason for Zechariah's punishment: his lack of faith. In the context of Jewish tradition, faith in God's promises was paramount, as seen in the stories of Abraham and Moses. Zechariah's doubt contrasts with Mary's faith later in the chapter (Luke 1:38), emphasizing the importance of trust in God's plan. This disbelief is significant given Zechariah's role as a priest, who was expected to have a deep faith in God's power and promises.   which will be fulfilled at their proper time. This assures the fulfillment of God's promises, emphasizing divine timing. The phrase reflects the biblical theme that God's plans unfold according to His perfect schedule, as seen in Ecclesiastes 3:1. It reassures believers that, despite human doubt, God's word is reliable and will come to pass. This also connects to the broader narrative of salvation history, where God's timing is crucial, such as the coming of Jesus Christ "in the fullness of time" (Galatians 4:4).   You know my one simple thought here is that our words have such power… Zechariah did not realize the power his prayer had, the power of his words…  So as not to interfere anymore with this fulfilled promise Gabriel shuts him up. Gabriel releases the power of his words and is like… hey before you mess this up even more - not that it won't happen, but you may speak other things into existence that make it hard for your wife, or for your son, or for his future… so just shut your mouth and say yes sir.

This message offers five practical principles for walking in spiritual alignment and reminds us that real transformation begins when we say yes to God's power, not just His blessings. Key Insights: 1. Delighting in the Lord aligns your desires with God's, shaping your prayers into His purpose. 2. True purpose is not stumbled into, it's committed to and entrusted to God. 3. Passion driven by the Holy Spirit remains steady even when circumstances are unstable. 4. Saying yes to God requires surrender, not just intention. 5. Isaiah 64:1-12 When people stop calling on the name of the Lord, they lose the nearness of God, the power of answered prayer, and the shaping work of His hand. Isaiah cries out for mercy, not from a place of innocence, but from a deep awareness that silence toward God leads to spiritual ruin. Only when people turn back to the Lord in Faith, repentance, and dependence can they be restored, shaped and delivered. One Wednesday night after church I struck up a conversation with another church member, Henry Mitchell, and he shared all of the great things God had been doing in his life. Now I knew Henry had been released from prison over two years prior and that he'd served a long time in prison, but I didn't know how long he'd served or why he'd been arrested in the first place. Henry shared that three weeks after his 24th birthday he killed two people in a drug sale gone bad. he spent four-and-a-half months in solitary confinement after his arrest and was sentenced to life with a possibility of parole in 20 years. While he was in solitary confinement, he began reading a New Testament a chaplain had given him and Henry gave his life to Christ. He cried for three days because he didn't believe a person could be cleansed like that. Henry served almost 34 years in prison before he was finally granted parole on his 15th try. After his release he started praying for God to bring him a good job, a nice home and a dependable, affordable car. God took care of him by providing each one in some of the most incredible ways. As a result of Henry's relationship with Jesus he's become one of the most faith-filled evangelists I've ever encountered, always saying, "Praise the Lord" and sincerely meaning it. If you're struggling with something you've done in the past and don't believe God could ever forgive you, I hope knowing Henry's story will help you understand that God will forgive you, no matter what you've done, as long as you repent and accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. You're going to be blessed by Henry's testimony of God's grace and mercy and I hope it will cause you to pray bolder prayers and build a bolder faith in your own life. Garth Heckman The David Alliance TDAgiantSlayer@Gmail.com    Oli-go-pistis….  Losing confidence   If mustard seed-sized faith can save you, it can also bring you victory in every situation. Faith is not about volume—it is about trust. The same faith that moved you from Satan's kingdom to God's kingdom, from eternal death to eternal life, is the faith that can heal, deliver, and provide for you. Think about the story of Peter walking on water. When Peter stepped out of the boat and walked toward Jesus, he was operating in faith. But the moment he took his eyes off Jesus and focused on the wind and waves, he began to sink. Jesus immediately caught him and said, "O you of little faith, why did you doubt?" (Matthew 14:31).   The example of a mustard seed is profound. In the natural, a mustard seed is one of the smallest seeds, but it grows into a tree where birds can rest in its branches. Jesus used this comparison to show that faith, though small in appearance, holds great potential when planted and nurtured. Faith is not stagnant; it is active and dynamic when exercised. Unbelief: The Real Issue   In Matthew 17, Jesus' disciples tried to cast out a demon but failed. They were confused because they had cast out demons before. When they asked Jesus why they couldn't do it this time, He answered, "Because of your unbelief." Not because their faith was too small, but because unbelief was interfering with their faith. Faith and unbelief are in a constant battle. It is not about increasing faith but removing unbelief. Unbelief comes from fear, doubt, and over-reliance on our senses. This kind of unbelief is removed through prayer and fasting (Matthew 17:21). Fasting and prayer focus our attention on God, quiet our flesh, and strengthen our faith by eliminating distractions.   Unbelief Spend time in the Word – Romans 10:17 says, "Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God." The more you immerse yourself in Scripture, the stronger your faith becomes. Pray and fast – Prayer strengthens our spiritual connection with God, and fasting helps eliminate distractions that fuel unbelief. Surround yourself with believers – Proverbs 27:17 says, "As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another." Fellowship with strong believers helps encourage and build your faith. Speak faith-filled words – Life and death are in the power of the tongue (Proverbs 18:21). Speak words that align with God's promises rather than words of doubt. Take action on your faith – James 2:26 says, "Faith without works is dead." Step out in faith and trust that God will honor His Word.

"The Answered Prayer!"  Does God answer all your prayers?  If not, why not?  Join me this morning to go over what the Bible has to say about these 3 short verses that contain a lot of valuable information you probably want to know about! If you are blessed by today's Bible study, please support my channel by liking, subscribing, commenting, and sharing with your friends and family!  I am not a Pastor, and agree with God's word that women are not supposed to be Pastors.  However, all people are called to share the gospel. It is perfectly acceptable and Biblical for women to lead Bibles studies outside the church as an ancillary addition to the church, and especially if it is a viable avenue for study of the Word on a daily basis, like I'm doing on this show, and paving the way for all of us to be closer to the Lord and become more knowledgeable of the Bible.  If you care to contribute to my work with the Daily Bible study and sharing the Gospel, as part of your tithes and offerings, you can do so through PayPal by sending it to my PayPal address of: ReneHoladay@gmail.com  Thank you for watching and God Bless you all! ;() --------------------- The primary study bible that Rene' uses is the 'Spirit-filled Life Bible, by Jack Hayford, and is available in hard cover or faux leather on Amazon at:  https://amzn.to/434fBnQ You can watch this episode on Youtube at:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2v9ekffu7ds Please be sure to LIKE, SUBSCRIBE, COMMENT, and SHARE!
