God the Father gave God the Son ALL authority in Heaven and on Earth!What now?
What do you do with an empty tomb?More importantly, what do you do with Jesus, who was once dead but is now alive?Just as the guard and council had to decide what to do with the truth, so do we.
Jesus overcame death!What does that mean for you?
At a significant risk, two council members, Joseph and Nicodemus, took responsibility for Jesus' body.They took the body from the cross, anointed it with aloe and myrrh, wrapped it in a linen cloth, and placed it in a tomb.Is there a practical application for us? YES!
He gave everything!He surrendered His life for people who despised, rejected, and cursed Him.Why?
"He was oppressed, and He was afflicted, yet He opened not His mouth; like a lamb that is led to the slaughter, and like a sheep that before its shearers is silent, so He opened not His mouth." Isaiah 53:7
