One of the reasons why working in water is fun is the people who work in it - dedicated, driven, modest, self-effacing, hard working, but with a lightness that comes from doing something that really matters. Craig Beckman personifies these qualities and then some, and he also happens to be working on a generational - and I really do mean that it's once in a generation if the past is anything to go by - generational shift in the design of the spiral wound membrane module. Well, we'll go into it in the episode, but think of it as the basic building block, the workhorse of water treatment, a $4.6 billion a year market growing at 11%. Craig and his team have the opportunity to make something we all rely on, whether we know it or not, fundamentally better. It's such an exciting story from inception to development to their enormous production space they just moved into. But more than anything, Craig is a wonderful person to spend time with. Don't Let Doubt Define or Defeat You | Restored & Sent Have you ever felt like your questions and doubts disqualify you from faith? You're not alone. The reality is that doubt is something virtually all Christians experience at some point in their faith journey. We'll challenge the one-dimensional view of "Doubting Thomas" by revealing six dimensions of his faith journey that are often overlooked. Through Thomas's story in the Gospel of John, we discover a disciple who was: 1. Willing to Sacrifice - When others hesitated to follow Jesus into danger, Thomas boldly declared, "Let us also go that we may die with him" (John 11:16) 2. Prepared to Follow - Even when uncertain of the destination, Thomas honestly asked questions to better understand and follow Jesus 3. Fully Honest - Rather than pretending to believe, Thomas expressed his doubts openly 4. Supported with Evidence - Jesus didn't rebuke Thomas for his questions but provided the evidence he needed 5. Stronger Than He Gets Credit For - Thomas made one of the strongest confessions of faith in scripture: "My Lord and my God!" 6. A Faith That Spreads to Others - Thomas's journey from doubt to conviction continues to help countless believers You'll walk away with a new perspective to never allow a season of doubt to limit your future walk with and effectiveness for Jesus. God is big enough to handle your questions and has given us all the evidence we need. Whether you're currently wrestling with questions or walking alongside someone who is, this message offers practical hope that doubt can be a doorway to deeper belief rather than a dead end. In this episode of the Creative Genius podcast, I interview Rebe Huntman about her debut memoir, "My Mother in Havana, a memoir of magic and miracle." Rebe shares her personal story of losing her mother at a young age and the subsequent decades of feeling disconnected from her memory. Driven by a deep longing and intuition, Rebe embarked on a 30-day DIY pilgrimage to Cuba to seek a different perspective on grief and connection. The conversation delves into how Rebe's background as a Latin dancer led her to discover the spiritual roots of Cuban dances and the traditions of honoring the deceased. Rebe recounts her experiences immersing herself in rituals dedicated to the goddess Oshun, visiting the sanctuary of Cuba's patron saint, and meeting with a spiritist who she hoped would connect her with her mother.Rebe and I discuss the importance of intuition and following one's unique path, even when it doesn't seem logical. We also explore the disconnect in Western culture from ancestral connections, magic, and meaningful rituals, contrasting it with the Cuban traditions of keeping the dead close. The conversation touches on the challenges of staying creative and connected to one's inner voice in the face of overwhelming global issues and personal fears. Rebe shares her belief in creativity as a portal and emphasizes the importance of honouring inner longings and choosing to champion humanity. She also shares her personal rituals for grounding and connecting with her intuition and ancestors, offering practical advice for listeners seeking to do the same. Ultimately, Rebe's story is a powerful reminder of the resilience of the human spirit, the wisdom of intuition, and the potential for magic and miracle in our lives, even in the darkest of times.

The Proverbs 31 woman has often been placed on a pedestal, celebrated but feared. Who could possibly ever live up to those expectations? But deeper study has led me to a new conclusion about this well-known passage of scripture.Let's break down the elements of this acrostic poem and how it reflects the inner strength, dignity, and love that come from godly wisdom. By the end of this episode, you'll see that the heart of wisdom isn't about perfection; it's about the journey of growing and learning to love God and others wholeheartedly. It's time to explore how to embrace our unique paths to wisdom without feeling like we have to do it all.Episode HighlightsProverbs 31 isn't a checklist to stress us out; it's more of a wisdom roadmap. The woman described in Proverbs 31 is a symbol of wisdom, not a standard to meet.Living with wisdom means embracing our imperfections and learning from our experiences.Embracing wisdom is about loving God and our neighbors, not juggling endless tasks.Resources MentionedJoin the Renewal Retreat WaitlistTHE HOLY BIBLE, NEW INTERNATIONAL VERSION®, NIV® Copyright © 1973, 1978, 1984, 2011 by Biblica, Inc.® Used by permission. Many believers have a time of doubt once a while. It’s not a good feeling, is it? We may wish we had the faith of those men and women in the Bible: steadfast, immovable, faith as solid as a rock. Well today on A NEW BEGINNING, Pastor Greg Laurie points out that even some our biblical heroes encountered doubt. In fact, we’ll focus on one in particular today. But Pastor Greg draws the distinction between doubt and unbelief. We’ll see doubt is temporary, and can lead to a stronger faith. Could it be that the opportunities we miss today are the stepping stones for future generations?Let's embark on a journey to uncover the hidden potential within the biblical directive "Seize the Moment." Through the lens of scripture, likened to peeling layers of an onion, we explore the profound implications of aligning with divine opportunities and the consequences of letting them slip by. Our conversation leads us through a reflection on "God's Promises and Obedience," where we confront the church's struggle against worldly skepticism. Drawing lessons from the Israelites' journey after the Red Sea, we examine the dangers of disobedience and the importance of grounding our faith in the scriptures. As we journey further, we explore "Seeking God's Promises Through Preparation," emphasizing the critical role of prayer and proactive pursuit of divine guidance—paralleling the biblical story of Moses and the exploration of Canaan with practical life decisions. In the chapters "The Evidence of God's Promise" and "Overcoming Doubt and Seizing Opportunities," we delve into the narratives of courage and faith, confronting fears that hinder our growth. Inspired by Caleb's unwavering belief, we are reminded to trust in the divine path laid out for us. We conclude with a heartfelt discussion on "Generational Consequences of Disobedience," encouraging listeners to seize the blessings meant for them and future generations by embracing courage, faith, and decisive action in their spiritual journeys. Where to dive in: (0:00:01) - Seize the Moment Seizing opportunities and aligning with God's plans to avoid missing blessings, using scripture as a guide. (0:13:03) - God's Promises and Obedience Grounding faith in scripture amidst doubt, avoiding worldly skepticism, and recognizing God's past deliverances. (0:24:31) - Seeking God's Promises Through Preparation Seeking God's guidance, being proactive, and trusting His unique path in pursuing big dreams and promises. (0:30:41) - The Evidence of God's Promise Courage and faith are important when facing challenges, as shown in a biblical story of God's promise and abundance. (0:36:28) - Overcoming Doubt and Seizing Opportunities Faith and courage overcome fear and doubt, as seen in the biblical story of the Promised Land and Caleb's unwavering trust in God. (0:44:53) - Overcoming Fear and Despising God's Word Trusting in God's promises and rejecting fear leads to blessings and abundance through Jesus Christ's sacrifice. (1:00:16) - Generational Consequences of Disobedience Seize God's promises, avoid faithlessness, and act in obedience to secure blessings for ourselves and future generations. Do you feel like you're spinning your wheels but not getting anywhere? Like something's blocking you from reaching your full potential? Well, my friend, chances are you're dealing with one (or more) of these five dream killers. And let me tell you, if you don't know the last one, you're probably doing it—without even realizing it—and it's keeping you from where you truly want to go.In this episode of The Happy Hustle Podcast, I'm breaking down the five biggest dream killers and, more importantly, how to overcome them so you can Happy Hustle your way to a life you truly love—one filled with passion, purpose, and positive impact. And hey, if you're not careful, these dream killers will sneak up on you. So let's dive in!Doubt – The Silent Dream KillerDoubt is that little voice in your head whispering, You're not good enough. You can't do this. Who do you think you are? Sound familiar? Yeah, doubt is sneaky like that. It stops you before you even start, and if you let it, it'll keep you stuck forever.Solution: Confidence, my friend. And confidence comes from repetition and results. Start stacking small wins every single day. Say your I AM mantras (I do this daily). Remind yourself of your past successes. Speak positivity into your subconscious and cut that doubt out of your life for good.Delusion – The False Story You Keep Telling YourselfDelusion is believing your own excuses. It's blaming others, thinking the world is out to get you, and refusing to take ownership of your own results. And the danger? It keeps you in a victim mindset instead of a victor mindset.Solution: Radical responsibility. Audit your excuses. Ask yourself, Is this belief empowering me or holding me back? Then replace limiting beliefs with empowering truths. Own your actions. Own your results. Own your future.Delay – The Procrastination Trap“I'll start tomorrow.” “I'll launch my business next year.” “I'll get healthy when work slows down.” Sound familiar? Delay is a dream killer, and too many people take their dreams to the grave because they keep waiting for the perfect moment.Solution: The 5-Second Rule. Countdown—5, 4, 3, 2, 1—and take action before your brain talks you out of it. Good and done is better than perfect and never finished. Just get started.Discouragement – Letting Setbacks Stop YouSetbacks, failures, criticism—yeah, they suck. But the biggest mistake you can make? Letting them discourage you to the point of quitting. Most people give up right before their breakthrough. Don't let that be you.Solution: Shift your mindset. Failures aren't setbacks; they're setups for something greater. Every challenge is happening for you, not to you. Failure is just fertilizer for future growth. Keep pushing forward.Distraction – The Ultimate Dream KillerAnd here it is—the biggest dream killer in today's world: distraction. Death-scrolling on Instagram, binge-watching Netflix, playing video games for hours—these things suck your time and energy away from what truly matters.Solution: Create focus zones. Block out 90 minutes of deep, uninterrupted work. Track your time for 24 hours and see where your distractions are creeping in. If it's not moving you closer to your goals, it's stealing from your dreams. These five dream killers—doubt, delusion, delay, discouragement, and distraction—are what's keeping most people stuck. But now that you know them, you have the power to overcome them. Start taking action today, and Happy Hustle your way to a life of freedom, fulfillment, and impact!Ready to level up?
