Streams Church wants everyone to hear the Gospel and experience the power of God. We are committed to the Gospel and believe the gifts of the Holy Spirit are a vital part of God’s community today. It’s who we are. We want our story to read like a page out of the Gospel. So wherever you are on your s…
When you think about yourself, what do you think? Are you amazed at what God created, or disappointed? God said everything He created was good. You must believe about yourself what God said about you, or you won’t accomplish what He created you to do.
It seems like the more we do for others at Christmas, the more we enjoy the season. Experiencing the favor of God is a conditional thing. If you do what God asks you to do, you will experience His favor. All God is looking for is obedience.
When we suppose God to be only in the extraordinary, we can miss Him in the ordinary. Will you be brave enough to not suppose, but to know where God is and follow Him? You can know where God is and when He moves.
Your life matters. How you live makes a difference. People of God should desire to bless Him and honor Him that they might see Him, so that His power would make a difference.
Something inside of us should compel us to see the needs around us and respond to those needs. God’s will for us is not to live in a perpetual state of frustration, but our joy is dependent on accomplishing the purposes God has created us for. There are seasons of repentance, revival, and eternal reward. How much we respect these rhythms will determine how much of God we have.
We don't have to wait for God to call us. The need around us is the call. When you understand what the love of Jesus Christ did for us by dying on the cross, you will be moved to answer the call.
We must know two things: our help comes from God above, and constantly look into the direction God is moving. See God has given us rhythms that He is asking us to step into. We have to focus on the right place if we are to step into the right rhythm.
There is a right thing to do at a right time. It’s called a rhythm. When you do the thing that God wants you to do at the time He wants you to do it, that is when the miracle happens. Living a life of faith and obedience will keep you from destruction.
When winter comes into your life, it can be a season to hear from God. We must submit to and live according to the Gospel if we want to hear what God is saying. God will meet you where you are, but there will come a time when you have to follow Him.
Take time in your life every day, every week to actually think about: what does God want me to do? What has He gifted you with? What relationships has He placed around you that you can leverage a natural gift for the glory of God? If we live by the Spirit, we can keep in rhythm with God.
God will always encourage us to lay aside the thing that is standing between us recognizing the fullness of His power. When there is something we are hanging on to and we get in the presence of God, He will ask us to lay that aside so that we can experience all that He is. When we pursue all that God has for us regardless of any circumstance, we are the Joshua Generation. “… as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.” -Joshua 24:15 (ESV)
Sometimes we can twist our faith to be about getting what we want instead of being about faith in our relationship with God. We cannot substitute a life of faith for having faith to get what we really want. That kind of faith will not work. Godly faith is not about us, but about Him.
For something to be faith it is going to look different from just a decision. Faith is two principle parts: what you believe, and what you do. When it is faith, what you are doing will be inspired by what you believe you heard God tell you to do.
We must always ask, “Is this God?” before we make decisions. We must always look to the one who has the answer, and the power to make it happen. We cannot look to ourselves for the answer. If we do this, we will experience and live in the transformation. If God is for us, what can be against us? Nothing.
There does come a time in our faith where God asks us to do what we can do because He plans on doing something spectacular that we can’t. If we walk by faith, we will experience and live in the transformation God has for us.
If you're at a pivotal moment in your life, there is a better way to decide.
The Holy Spirit will lead you to a life beyond imagination...but you have to follow Him to that place.
The road to Promise will have a bump (or two)...stay the course and enjoy.
Life can be lived dripping with revival or dragging without it. If you find yourself broken & tired, it is time to prepare for the next season.
How do we decide which opportunities to spend our time on? We should not live a life of reaction, but we should live a life of vision.
In the middle of the mess- don't stop. God didn't lead you to it, but He will lead you through it.
What happens if we give the right thing from the wrong place? Maybe it doesn't matter to us- but, apparently, it does matter to God.
So often we launch with the right focus but not the other right focus. When there are two sides to the story, make sure you have them both.
When a man paused long enough to realize a burning bush wasn't actually burning- he heard the voice of God. Revival is in the waiting.
You can't upgrade to a place you have never seen. Most of us know there is something better, we just have no idea what it is. But... God does.
Confidence is a process. If worship is weak inside God's house- we may not have the courage to add truth where it's needed most outside.
Maybe it does matter how quiet our worship has become? In a season of increased noise from those dazed- maybe truth should be louder? Maybe?
No matter the circumstance- all things work for good. It's not good, but when we believe God, He will work it out for good.
Hey, no one is expecting a day they are not preparing for. In a time of growing uncertainty, we should be ready for the next great moment.
Even if God has to work a miracle to keep His promise, He will do it. He always has.
God will absolutely speak to you in a personal, just for you moment, that will wake up your day to His best.
With this constant push to build our own personal brand- it’s possible we may be forgetting to build the Kingdom. Jesus must increase.
It's impossible to win if we don't understand the pressure. God's goodness remains the remedy...not the problem.
When you realize that everything God asks you to do will add huge value to your life- you will absolutely get excited about the hustle.
Objects in your rearview mirror may appear larger than they are. Ignore the distractions and keep moving toward the assignment in front of you.
How about this? What if we give ourselves permission to ignore the stuff we aren’t good at so we can pursue the life God gifted us to live.
It's great to follow a feeling when the feeling is right. But how do we know?
Jonah was a prophet, swallowed by a fish, released on the Nineveh shore. Jesus is the Son of God. Must you believe it all?
What if Christianity isn’t just life or just work or just family or just church? What if it’s our relationship with all of it?
Embracing the limit of personal gifts is likened to the boundary of sea & land. It’s not a restriction- it’s your place to be free.
Some really smart people say it takes 18 to 254 days to form a habit. Wow! Maybe this is going to be harder than it looks?
A couple of weeks ago you probably decided to change some things in your life. Do you know why?
This isn't the year for apps & programs to take the place of the Holy Spirit. Let's learn to spend time with God while we meditate on His word.
The first Christmas was set in motion when a young lady said, “be it unto me.” What are you declaring for your life today?
Who do you want to be? Embedded in the first Christmas is a person wanting to do the right thing even when he thought he had been done wrong.
What are you waiting for? When it doesn’t look like it’s going to happen- that may be a great time to remind yourself it will.
Maybe we just gotta' have faith? When we leverage such a powerful force, we suddenly change the world (or at least our moment).
Worried? Go pray. Not quietly in your car with music playing. Get in your closet, tell God how awesome He is and ask Him for help!
How did you respond during the last time Jesus visited you? An ancient story remains incredibly helpful today.
In the last two years more content has been created than within the sum of human history. It is impossible to keep up. Maybe we don’t have to?
Grace gave us alligators instead of unicorns, but faith gives you e-v-e-r-y-thing God promises.
