The Sieve & The Scribe with Gorg & Myers

Get ready for some laughs, as season one of the Sieve and the Scribe concludes on-site from Pheasant Hills Golf Club in Hammond, Wis., where Kevin and Dan welcome title sponsors Andy Hedlund and Eric Means, who also played college hockey for the Mavericks and the Gophers. Heds and Meansy share some of their favorite memories from the early days with Minnesota State as well as playing for and coaching with legendary characters like Doug Woog, Don Brose and Troy Jutting. The guys also discuss the sudden end to the Wild's season and talk about who's left in the Stanley Cup Playoffs. The show concludes with a trip down memory lane as Andy, Eric and Kevin share their favorite colorful (and off-color) memories from their times with Wooger and Jutts.

Kevin and Dan break down the Stanley Cup Playoffs, talking about all eight First Round series from high above Xcel Energy Center hours before Game 1 of the Wild and Blues series. The fellas provide analysis, statistics and predictions on who they think will advance and why.

Kevin and Dan are joined by Minnesota Wild assistant coach Darby Hendrickson, and the fellas go the full gamut, from his years as a player to his post-career broadcasting career to his time as a Wild assistant coach. Darby opines on the team's early years, including the 2003 run to the Western Conference Final, as well as the current version of the Wild, and how they stack up in a loaded West. She also opines on her new career in broadcasting, the future of women's hockey and how she once found herself in the doghouse for choosing the University of Minnesota over North Dakota. Kevin and Dan are joined off the top by Minnesota Wild radio voice Joe O'Donnell, who documents his long and winding road to the NHL, including a stint as Iowa's “Mr. Everything.” They breakdown the Wild's fantastic start to the season and banter about some of the characters inside the dressing room. U.S. Olympic women's hockey head coach Joel Johnson joins the show to preview the upcoming games in Beijing, as well as what's happening with the University of St. Thomas, where he has been splitting his time. Kevin and Dan also put a bow on Hockey Day Minnesota in Mankato, recap the Wild's big win over Montreal and chat about what should be a fun number retirement ceremony Friday night in the Big Apple.

Kevin and Dan visit with a series of Mankato-related guests, including Minnesota State men's head coach Mike Hastings, who will head to Beijing next month as an assistant coach for the U.S. Olympic men's team. Longtime Mankato hockey writer Shane Frederick joined to talk about what hosting Hockey Day could mean for the sport in the southern part of the state. Finally, the boys are joined by Mankato East boys hockey coach Adam Fries, fresh off a big win over arch-rival Mankato West.

Former Wild defenseman Nate Prosser joins Kevin and Dan just a few days after announcing his retirement from pro hockey. The fellas re-live some memories from his playing days, talk about life in the Prosser household and what's next for the affable Elk River native.
