Not giving up landed her where she'd always wanted to be: living the life of a professional novelist. Lee told Elizabeth to always keep writing, which she has joyfully done. She received her Bachelor's degree in English literature from Hamilton College in upstate New York after spending a glorious Junior year in Canterbury, England, attending the University of Kent. She visited a dozen countries during her time there, much to the detriment of her GPA. As an Anglophile, one of the highlights of her travels was finding herself in a tiny museum in Wales, alone with Princess Diana's wedding dress. After a year working in Manhattan, she returned to Nashville and married her high school sweetheart. They have now-grown identical twin daughters. She holds a Master's degree in education from Belmont University in Nashville, and recently retired from a non-profit, working with children and adults with reading-based learning disabilities such as dyslexia. Elizabeth is a member of the Women's Fiction Writers Association and the Nashville Writers Alliance. This event somehow sets off a chain of miraculous and catastrophic events--upending the lives of Leonard's rigidly God-fearing mother, June; his deeply conflicted father, Emmett; and his best friend, Azalea, and her mother, Rose, who is also the town prostitute. While the local Baptist minister passes judgment on events and promises dire consequences, the people of this small community on the banks of Big Sugar move together toward awakening. Susan Gilmore's love of storytelling flows naturally from her Tennessee roots. She's the daughter of a revival preacher's son, brought up on the land and streams that populate this novel that is, as Appalachian novelist Lee Smith says, a "homespun Pilgrim's Progress." On Monday's Mark Levin Show, President Trump announced a ceasefire agreement between Israel and Iran, ending a 12-day war. What will it be about this agreement to ensure they don't violate it? Iran should face unconditional surrender due to its weakened military and lack of support from allies like China, Russia, or Arab nations. Trump's decisive military actions prevented Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons, which no other president, including Clinton, Obama, or Biden, was willing or able to accomplish.  Without Trump's intervention, Iran would have become a nuclear power, potentially arming groups like the Houthis and enabling terrorist sleeper cells in the U.S. to acquire dirty bombs. Also, Trump's actions on Iran have ensured peace for a period. But there's a group of individuals—Rep Marjorie Taylor Greene, Matt Gaetz, and others—who are undermining Trump and aligning with radical left ideologies, including anti-Israel sentiments. These figures, supported by liberal media, aim to sabotage Trump's movement and the next election. Later, Marc Thiessen calls in to discuss a Reagan Institute poll showing that MAGA Republicans strongly support U.S. global leadership, rejecting isolationism. The poll indicates 90% of MAGA voters prioritize preventing Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons, aligning with Trump's decision to join Israel's strikes on Iran's nuclear facilities. The claims of a splintering MAGA base over Trump's Iran policy are exaggerated, as isolationist critics represent a small minority within the GOP.
