While spirits were high there was some sadness as the Twins breakout prospect Luke Keaschall suffered a fractured forearm after being HBP in game 1. Dan praises Rocco's bullpen management and wonders if the Twins may try and move a starting pitcher before the trade deadline. David wants to know if Rocco will continue letting lefty batters see lefty pitchers once he has a full bench, and also wants to know what the reasonable expectations should be for Royce upon his return to the roster. David and Dan are pleased with the series win and some of the positive signs, most notably the play of rookie Luke Keaschall, whose flowing golden locks definitely make him a better player (or at least more fun to watch steal bases). Dan does his best to defend the idea of keeping Rocco Baldelli on as manager for not just this year but for a long time beyond. Thursday marks the Twin's home opener at Target Field. This season, fans will have an option to get into the stadium hands-free, with facial recognition technology. The new technology is called “Go-Ahead” entry. The Twins are one of nine MLB teams using the technology. Manjeet Rege, the director of the Center for Applied Artificial Intelligence at the University of St. Thomas, joined Minnesota Now to explain how the new technology works.
