Buckle up for a wild ride as John and Jay deliver their most unfiltered episode yet, blending summer nostalgia, explicit humor, and genuine friendship in a way only they can.The guys kick things off with Jay's weekend adventures at a pool party that he colorfully describes as a "sweet ass buffet" of bikini-clad women, while also revealing his culinary pride in a surprisingly delicious grape salad creation that party-goers were reluctant to try. The conversation takes an even more candid turn when childhood friend Danny joins via phone, confirming stories of Jay's infamous pranks during sleepovers and unleashing a flood of explicit reminiscences about their teenage adventures at campgrounds.Gaming enthusiasts will appreciate their deep dive into NCAA Football 26, where they critically analyze Ohio State's representation while marveling at Virginia Tech's spine-tingling "Enter Sandman" entrance sequence. The genuine excitement in their voices as they discuss the game's improvements in lighting, sound effects, and team-specific traditions showcases their passionate fandom.Between heavy music recommendations and discussions of Jason Momoa's impressive moshing skills, Jay shares his first-ever visit to the Pro Football Hall of Fame. His childlike excitement at seeing the bronze busts of football legends (which hilariously reminded him of "Return to Oz") provides a touching glimpse of authentic enthusiasm beneath the duo's typically irreverent exterior.Whether you're here for the unfiltered humor, gaming insights, or just to experience the chemistry of two friends who've known each other forever, this episode delivers raw entertainment that keeps you wondering what outrageous story they'll share next.Send us a text message and let us know how awesome we are! “If you've got a whole room full of 10's, that's the 5…”   We've all been there. Every one of us have experienced an album where it was “almost perfect” front to back, yet there was that one song that blemished its perfection and brought it down a notch.  Granted, some songs may not fit relative to the context of an album and should have never been included to begin with, while others may have been played into the ground a quadrillion times to the point that even though it has become tiresome to listen to, “it's not like it doesn't belong” on the album.   Basically, the most pressing points to ponder when evaluating whether a song is “skippable” or simply should not exist are: “If you take this song off the album, does it make it a better album?” “If it's 1980 and you're wearing your jorts and your tank top and you're at a Boone's farm bonfire…is it a bad song?” “Is this the song that made this album worse…?”   Discover the most “prostate meltingly hot” thing a woman can wear, hear Beaker's favorite song to do at karaoke after a long day on set at The Muppet Show, and prepare to get “T.B.R” when you JOIN US for the “hysteria” surrounding THE SONG THAT SHOULD NOT BE  as things get heated and hostile regarding GREAT METAL ALBUMS RUINED BY ONE SONG.    Visit www.metalnerdery.com/podcast for more on this episode Help Support Metal Nerdery https://www.patreon.com/metalnerderypodcast Leave us a Voicemail to be played on a future episode: 980-666-8182 Metal Nerdery Tees and Hoodies – metalnerdery.com/merch and kindly leave us a review and/or rating on your favorite Podcast app Follow us on the Socials: Facebook - Instagram - TikTok Email: metalnerdery@gmail.com Can't be LOUD Enough Playlist on Spotify Metal Nerdery Munchies on YouTube @metalnerderypodcast Show Notes: (00:01): “…just the tip…” / “No panties, no undies…like Donald Duck” / #dreams / “Maybe Mick Jagger liked it black…” / “So you're a #Beatles guy, huh?” / “Dude you are TBR: Twanglified Beyond Recognition…”/ ***WARNING: #listenerdiscretionisadvised *** / “After 2 doses of peanut butter, the black's kinda weird…” / “Our latest Patreon was definitely irresponsible…we talked some real shit…that was just too much reality…”/ ***WELCOME BACK TO THE METAL NERDERY PODCAST IN THE FENG SHUI'D SUMMER SOLSTICE BUNKERPOON PLACE!!!*** / “Somewhere in the ether…”/ “I think we got rid of all the internal demons…” / ***”If you wanna hear what he's referring to, JOIN US over on #Patreon at patreon.com/metalnerdery.com to find out!!!*** / “Don't choke on those nuts, dude…”   (06:51): #nextlevel #SlayerOfTheEpisode / #mentalist / “Fingers in the butthole…the whole thing…”/ POSTMORTEM (Reign In Blood – 1986) / “She's not old, dude…she's our age…”/ #JenniferAnniston / “Funny makes a chick super-hot!” / “Here's a hot look for the ladies…” / #prostatemeltinglyhot /    (12:18): #TheDocket / METAL NERDERY PODCAST PRESENTS: GREAT METAL ALBUMS RUINED BY 1 SONG (AKA: The Song That Should Not Be) / “We've gotta exorcise the demons, dude…”/ “Maybe it's radio's fault…” / #ACDC YOU SHOOK ME ALL NIGHT LONG (Back In Black – 1980)  / “If it's 1980 and you're wearing your jorts and your tank top and you're at a Boone's farm bonfire…is it a bad song?” / #ICantGoBack / “Now it's country…”   (17:52): “This is the first one I purchased with my own money…”/ “Your shutter speed's a little slow…”/ #BlackSabbath CHANGES (Vol. 4 – 1972) /“You skip it because you feel unhappy and you feel so sad…”/ “You listen to as much of that as is appropriate to listen to before skipping…”/ “To stay on the Sabbath…”/ AM I GOING INSANE? In Episode 7 of OnlyLands, a lively lineup of Badlands Media hosts takes on the week's most outrageous headlines, from Trump's royal welcome in Saudi Arabia to Jake Tapper's “Original Sin” book and the implosion of the Biden coverup narrative. The crew dissects Trump's purple-carpeted entrance in Riyadh, reads the symbolism, and compares the treatment of Trump vs. Biden by MBS, complete with horses, fanfare, and “Enter Sandman” conspiracy theories. The panel takes a hard turn into the culture war with a deep dive into James Lindsay and Seth Dillon's “woke right” narrative. They rip into the op as a controlled opposition psyop designed to gatekeep MAGA thought and shield the regime from criticism. What starts as a rant on intellectual frauds turns into a brutal takedown of Babylon Bee hypocrisy, the Ron DeSantis simp brigade, and the rise of anti-questioning orthodoxy disguised as conservatism. Also on the docket: South African farmer refugees, awkward Elon claps, Mandela effect rabbit holes, and the absolute demolition of Chuck Todd's attempt to memory-hole Biden's decline. It's conspiratorial, hilarious, and brutal, in other words, peak OnlyLands.

Send us a textStep behind the curtain of the music industry with Jay Franze and Tiffany Mason as they blend personal stories, industry expertise, and entertaining banter in this captivating episode. Jay shares a touching memory of introducing his family to rock band Hailstorm, revealing how lead singer Lizzy Hale made a special connection with his daughter that continued years later. The hosts then offer their unfiltered take on Hailstorm's new single "Darkness Always Wins," appreciating the band's talent while questioning the experimental direction of this particular track. The conversation naturally flows through a landscape of music news, from Dave Grohl's surprise Coachella appearance to Billy Idol's collaboration with Avril Lavigne and Alice Cooper's reunion with his original band after five decades. Throughout these discussions, Jay's deep industry knowledge shines through, particularly when he breaks down what makes truly great music: the perfect combination of songwriting, performance, and production. What truly sets this episode apart is the hosts' chemistry and willingness to get personal. Their "Question of the Day" segment asking for the best songs to "make whoopee to" generates hilarious responses from listeners, ranging from Nora Jones's romantic ballads to Metallica's aggressive "Enter Sandman." This playful interaction perfectly balances the more technical discussion where Jay explains different mixing philosophies, comparing the clean precision of engineers like Mike Shipley with the rawer "leave it all in" approach of others.Whether you're a music industry professional, an aspiring artist, or simply someone who appreciates the stories behind the songs, this episode delivers entertainment, education, and inspiration. As Tiffany reminds us at the end: "Every track you love was once just an idea. Don't be afraid to chase yours."LinksJay Franze: https://JayFranze.comVirtually You: https://www.virtuallyyouva.com/ Support the show

On the 55th Episode of the Album Review Crew of Shout It Out Loudcast, Tom, Zeus & special guest, comedian and podcaster Don Jamieson, review the 1991 legendary album by Metallica, the self-titled album known as the "Black Album." The "Black Album" was Metallica's fifth studio album. It propelled Metallica from a small, but dedicated fan base to superstardom. Led by frontman, main lyricist and rhythm guitarist James Hetfied, polarizing drummer Lars Ulrich, guitarist extraordinaire Kirk Hammet and bassist Jason Newsted. The album features five singles including a couple ballads, which were unheard of previously and the now classic, Enter Sandman. Although they did have a video for the previous album's single, "One", Metallica really utilized MTV and the music video format to propel the "Black Album." The album made it to Number 1 on the US Billboard charts and has now gone 16X platinum, making it not only Metallica's biggest selling album, but one of the biggest selling album in history. The album was produced by Bob Rock and although it may have been a tumultuous relationship, which was documented, the result cannot be denied. As usual the boys breakdown and dissect the tracks and rank the songs. They then rank the album and the album cover against the previous albums reviewed on the Album Review Crew. This was Tom's pick. So tune in to see if the album satisfies the purist or the newbie Metallica fan and if it makes them Rock Hard!
