A podcast about the journeys we take through life in our careers, at home, mentally, and spiritually - with some music sprinkled in. Whether you are in the middle of a season of change, are seizing change, or know you need to seize change, The SZNChange P
The belated one year anniversary show. A little year in review and some random thoughts.
RIP Mr. Potato Head..victim of inclusivity and equality, bye bye COVID?, Losing weight at 30+, and why there is NO COMPARISON between You and I! Ooooh who is this aimed at? #covid #mrpotatohead #gender #toys #letkidsbekids #hasbro #california #weightloss #fitness #diet #faith #journey #walkwithGOD
Trump transforms into Donny Two Times as he escapes another impeachment, Brady THE G.O.A.T.? Not so fast, Antonio Brown is not a good role model, and a shallow dive into the shallow world of doing anything for likes, subscribers, and attention. #Brady #NFL #AntonioBrown #SuperBowl #Influencers #SocialMedia #Attention #Anythingforlikes
It's all about trying to be more transparent and vulnerable and this one took a lot for me to post. I talk about how I am currently feeling work/career-wise. I also dive into a bit of the story of what led me to open my life up to God after 33 years of not having a relationship with him. It was nerve-wracking telling this story and I did forget some details but I'm still learning how to be comfortable in my faith. #faith #religion #god #christ #journey
Better late than never! The first show of 2021 lays out the blueprint of the show's focus for this year and dives into why it took 4 weeks to get this one recorded! Head over to Anchor Apple Podcasts, or Spotify to catch the full episode!
It's time to show my gratitude...I talked about the journeys on our way to victories and sitting back to enjoy those victories but now it's time to show my gratitude for all the things made possible thanks to those victories. Even on the worst of days, it's not all that bad. I am grateful to have made it this far in the toughest year many of us will ever see. Music from Roy Tosh; Rapzilla and Arrow featuring Thomas Ianucci and A.I. The Anomaly; Elevation Music featuring Aaron Cole; and Social Club Misfits featuring nobigdyl.
2 in one month?! This one is a reminder to take a step back and savor the moment, instead of just trying to move on to the next level or starting the next journey. I also delve into why I do this podcast and it's not a conventional reason. Music from 116, Andy Mineo, and Lecrae; Dee-1 and Murs; and KB.
This one didn't come easy, but it is done despite audio issues and some minor freak outs. Anyway, we are back after a bit of a hiatus, since the "studio" was occupied, and celebrating a Lakers and Dodgers double championship! Both show the sweet ending to a tumultuous journey and how failures and mistakes can either make or break you! It's all about learning from your mistakes and failures, which are going to happen on the way to the trophy! Music by Byron Juane, Derek Minor, and Canon; It's Redtips; nobigdyl. and Andy Mineo; and 116, Lecrae, and Funky.
The LIVE one. I decided to record this one as a live show because why not? This one is all about the slugfest called life, how it keeps throwing and landing punches, and how it is important to keep a good circle around you! Music from Swaizy, Bizzle, A.I. the Anomaly and more!
I started planning this one the night George Floyd was murdered, of course I did not know it had happened and since then the country has erupted in a movement for the ages. Fittingly, the episode was about respect...since then we have seen how little there is in this country. Left, right, white, black, brown, orange, etc...everyone seems to have lost it. I contemplated scrapping this episode but I felt too strongly about getting out there now more than ever. Also discussed: states reopening, the uptick in positives tests of the you know what, and switching to a live show? Music from Bizzle, Paul Hernandez, and more!
The streak of 2 episodes per month was snapped but only by 4 days! Episode 6 is about the wonderful life of working from home, mental health awareness month, the struggle between creativity and conformity, and interesting discussion about church and how it factors into a relationship with GOD. Plus music from Wande, Marc Stevens, Mission and BrvndonP, and Coop.
Introducing the launch of SC Radio and what to expect from it, realizing fitting in or standing out are just not for me, and quarantine brain. Music from U-Neek Shreef, William Pippins, and Bizzle.
Why wait 20 episodes to change things up? Time to get back to how I originally went about producing content, with music added. As much as I love hearing myself talk, music has always been a part of that behind the mic process for me. Oh and I talk about this pandemic thing you all might have heard about.
The original plan for this episode was to focus on some positives, then discouragement struck, then inspiration, then more discouragement...the roller coaster ride of the last few weeks is evident here.
Back for another episode, audio is getting better but I sound like T-Pain at times in this one! It's all about emotions with this episode and how they sometimes have too much power over us.
The return, no more waiting and planning, it's time to jump right into it. No worrying about audio for this one as I felt the need to just record as I hit the road home.
