In this episode of "Normal World," Dave Landau, 1/4 Black Garrett, and Angela open with a spirited back-and-forth over homemade meatloaf, a few birthday wishes, and upcoming tour dates before diving into their trademark mix of cultural chaos and sharp commentary. The conversation takes a global turn as they explore Japan's connection between KFC and Christmas, revealing how one American fast-food chain became a holiday tradition overseas. From there, the trio breaks down the Dodgers' World Series victory, the quirks of fandom, and the unexpected intersections of culture, history, and humor. The tone shifts when they unpack New York City's election of socialist mayor Zohran Mamdani, questioning the growing appeal of government control and what it reveals about the current political mindset. The hosts then connect the dots between post-pandemic isolation, social media dependency, and the modern struggle to form genuine relationships. As they move through topics of technology, addiction, and disconnection, they highlight the difference between virtual life and real human connection with both comedy and concern. Welcome back to The Nikki & Brie Show! In this episode, the twins dive into the sweet details of their Halloween. They recap trick-or-treating chaos—from the annual parental hustle of getting the kids into costumes to next-level neighborhood Halloween setups (popcorn machines, Dodger games, and wine tables?!). Brie shares some thoughtful tips on how to discard old costumes and pumpkins in eco-friendly ways, and reflects on the bittersweet sendoff to her season as Buddy's soccer coach.Nikki opens up about her latest Monday Night RAW match alongside Stephanie Vaquer and the momentum of her WWE comeback. With the Bella Army out in full force and her intensity on the rise (thanks to some coaching from Bryan!), she's more fired up than ever, even if after a in-ring defeat. The twins also share their go-to post-match rituals. Hint: they involve tiger balm, hotel room service, and sometimes wine in the shower. Priorities, of course. Then it's time for “Hold the L”, a hilarious new game where seemingly perfect scenarios take a wild turn and the twins have to decide whether to take the loss or walk away with their pride intact. It's petty, playful, and will make you bust out laughing. Brie drops a quote from Paulo Coelho that might become your new daily mantra, while Nikki has some empowering words for all the baddies. Hit play, and remember, if you're gonna hold the L… make it look good! Call Nikki & Brie at 833-GARCIA2 and leave a voicemail! The guys fire up the livestream to at long last discuss some Orioles baseball following the dawn of a new era at Camden Yards. The 2025 season was one that was unforgettable for all the wrong reasons, from a miserable start in the opening few months, the in-season firing of Brandon Hyde as a result of it, and the painful (and ultimately unsuccessful) attempt at clawing their way back into playoff contention. Since then, the O's saw a division rival once again represent the AL in the World Series in a seven game set that was won by a Dodgers team who look miles ahead of where Baltimore needs to be in just about every facet of the game. They've now hired a new manager in Craig Albernaz who looks and sounds every bit the part of the guy who can get this group of talent back to where they need to be; but as we've learned in Birdland this calendar year, talk is cheap. In Albernaz' opening press conference, he, Mike Elias, and David Rubenstein said all the right things regarding what it will take to turn things around. Can they do it? Only time will tell. As a wise man once said at the end of another extremely difficult Orioles season, "you just... don't... know." Thanks as always for tuning in, and we'll be back at you very soon! The offseason has begun! Surely the Brewers will be signing all sorts of free agents, right? Brewers reporter Curt Hogg and host JR Radcliffe, both of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, highlight some of the interesting calls, including news that Rickie Weeks won't return in the same role in 2026. They look at what happens next for Brandon Woodruff, the intriguing roster decisions still out there (namely Andrew Vaughn), the addition of Coleman Crow to the 40-man roster and more. Is it possible there is anyone on the free-agent lists that would work for the Brewers? JR continues to seethe about the Dodgers, meanwhile.

The Philadelphia Eagles, once again, have made trades that could provide this team tremendous upside as they come off their bye week. This team has momentum after a great win against the Giants just a couple weeks ago. How will the trades work out, and are they the key puzzle pieces this team needs? This week, Brandon Lee Gowton from BleedingGreenNation.com joined us to dive into these trades and the momentum this team has during the second part of this season. It was a great discussion! But first, the guys dove into some baseball talk as they reflected on the Dodgers winning the World Series, and what the Phillies will need to do this offseason to compete. (Approx. 7:30)From there, they got into how the Sixers season started, and how the team seems to be coming back down to reality. Yet, they're still fun to watch. (Approx. 18:20)Then they discussed some recent NFL trades as the Jets seemingly got worse, and the Cowboys continue to make questionable moves for their franchise. (Approx. 29:00)They also dovetailed into the Eagles trades where they acquired CB Jaire Alexander, CB Michael Carter II, and DE Jealan Phillips. (Approx. 39:35)What they threw down on the Table this week was a great conversation with Brandon Lee Gowton from Bleeding Green Nation about how this Eagles team is going to look coming out of their bye week. They analyzed the trades and how they'll affect the defense. Will the secondary really improve, as well as the pass rush. Also, a look at the rushing attack and offensive line after a great showing against the Giants two weeks ago. All of this and much more this week on the Table! Yes, he's the radio voice of the World Champion LA Dodgers, but he's a good friend and swell egg. Stephen Nelson joins the guys to talk about their incredible series with the Blue Jays, him getting food poisoning in Toronto, having two WS rings now...one for each daughter, and why we think he should have hosted the ceremony in Dodger Stadium instead of Joe Davis. The Lakers, riding an early-season wave of success, get back to the home court as they face off against Victor Webanyama and the San Antonio Spurs. And in a game marred with a combined 84 free throws, and not one but two mistakes by the Lakers in the closing seconds, Luka Doncic (35 points, 13 assists) and Deandre Ayton (22 points and 10 rebounds) still persevered as LA survives two missed free throws by Julian Champagnie to beat the Spurs 118-116. Tune in as the guys from the LFB share thoughts on the game, how they fared without Austin Reaves in the lineup for one more game, and what's up ahead for the team on the schedule.
