A day after the Los Angeles Dodgers scored a bunch of runs but were let down by lousy pitching, LA ace Yoshinobu Yamamoto took the mound to try to help the Boys in Blue get right. Things looked promising early after a first-inning three-run homer by Freddie Freeman and five hitless innings from Yamamoto. But the LA offense kept not capitalizing on chances to extend the lead, Yama got punished on a few bad pitches, and the Dodgers bullpen finished the implosion as Los Angeles lost 8-6 in 10 innings. Shohei Ohtani looks hurt. Teoscar Hernandez and Mookie Betts had good games, but they weren't enough. Will things turn around? Only time will tell.
