Many Christians say God is first, but their lives tell a different story. A faith that puts God second is not just disordered, it's dangerous. In this sermon, we're encouraged to put God in his rightful spot. Dr. Aaron Cole
Well, dear listeners, we have come to the conclusion of our 100 episode list, Venturing Through The Universe. And while all good things must indeed come to an end, we can still celebrate the time we had together thanks to the magic of a good old fashioned holiday special. We'll laugh... we'll reminisce... and most importantly, we'll debate the finer points of Star Trek. Alas, it's also true that this special signals the podcast being put on indefinite hiatus. But as my good friend Mister Spock once said, "There are always possibilities." Classic Trek starts at 04:34 The Growing Pains Of The Next Generation starts at 28:28 The TNG Renaissance starts at 41:05 The TNG Glory Years starts at 58:56 Deep Space Nine and the End of TNG starts at 01:19:50 Voyager starts at 01:41:01 The Waning Enterprise starts at 02:01:56 Modern Trek starts at 02:09:30 Outro starts at 02:25:20 Hosted by Jaron Hatch, Aaron Cole, Aren Hatch, Marc Nielson, with Tyson Baker, Ellen Lewis, Jake Barnes, Jennie Beal, Tanner Hatch, Mindy Barnes, & Andrew Nadon. Alright, y'all, we've been doing this for 100 episodes, how can there be anything strange or new left? What's that, you say? You're saying there are almost 900 more episodes to go?? Goodness me, how on Earth are we supposed to continue on with this trek through the stars? Will it go on forever? Or is it time to finally pull into space dock and give it a rest? These questions, and more, will probably go unanswered in this premiere episode of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds. Episode discussion starts at 19:53. This is the final episode in our look at Modern Trek. Hosted by Jaron Hatch, Aaron Cole, & Andrew Nadon. In this episode we delve further into the UK’s Data (Use and Access) Act – this time exploring how the Act will impact organisations developing and deploying artificial intelligence (AI). Ashurst partner Rhiannon Webster has assembled an expert team to unpack what the Data (Use and Access) Act means for AI, including data protection and IP-related matters. This includes Rhiannon’s Digital Economy team colleagues Will Barrow and Tom Brookes alongside Ashurst IP expert Aaron Cole. Together, they explain what’s changed and what lies ahead for organisations developing and deploying AI. Aaron lays out the copyright policy options the government is weighing up in the coming months, and highlights pertinent court cases over how copyright protected materials are used by AI platforms. Tom summarises data protection changes relating to automated decision-making and AI. He explains why this could prompt organisations to expand the way they use such AI tools, and what the impacts might be of rules splintering between the EU and UK. Tom also describes the more permissive environment for taking automated decisions using personal data, which has implications for HR and Finance leaders in particular. Dr. Aaron Cole preaches from Jude 1:1 on how we are called, loved, and kept.
I've seen a movie you people wouldn't believe... attacked chips, while rubbing against the shoulders of Aaron. I watched scenes flicker in the dark on Tanner's beautiful 4K OLED TV. All those moments will be saved, in time, like chapters... on a Blu-ray Disc. Time to watch 1982's Blade Runner. Episode discussion starts at 29:38. ...will continue on, unabated, forever. They most certainly will not end, no way. One of the best things about TNG is knowing that it will go on and on and on, until the end of time. And who knows, maybe even time itself won't end. Maybe time will keep going forever so that TNG will keep going forever. So let's grab our friends, reflect on where we've been and we're going, and watch what is definitely not the last episode of Star Trek: The Next Generation. Episode discussion starts at 24:05. This is the final episode in our look at Deep Space Nine & The End of TNG. Dr. Aaron Cole kicks off our Summer series with a message on the trap of comparison.
Well, we've reached our journey's end, y'all. Pack it up, it's been a great podcast, thanks for everything. Wait, it's not actually our journey's end? It's Wesley Crusher's journey's end?? Sigh... how many journey's ends is he gonna get? Fine, let's get this over with and watch Wesley's other final episode of Star Trek: The Next Generation. Episode discussion starts at 18:17. You know what they say: "What happens in the lower decks, stays in the lower decks." Unless, of course, we're watching this particular episode. And the entire series of Star Trek: Lower Decks. Hmm, maybe what happens down in the lower decks doesn't actually stay there at all. Maybe those little background characters are secretly the most important characters in all of Star Trek. Or maybe not. I guess we'll find out in tonight's unique episode of Star Trek: The Next Generation. Episode discussion starts at 18:29. This is episode 15/19 in our look at Deep Space Nine & The End of TNG. Hosted by Jaron Hatch, Aaron Cole, and Andrea Peterson.
