The More Sibyl Podcast Presents: 서로를 품다| The MVPs of Suurugate Journeys: The One with a Surrogate | Episode 17 (2025)When most people think of pregnancy, they think baby names, nursery colors, and tiny clothes. For Ms. Idowu Grace Abosede, pregnancy was about giving someone else the chance to experience all of that.In this gripping episode, we unpack her deeply personal journey through surrogacy—one she had to navigate the hard way, using her own body as the lesson. That journey became the catalyst for founding Boblu'nd Gray Surrogacy Agency, where she now advocates for safe, ethical, and compassionate surrogacy in Nigeria.Ms. Idowu shares the emotional and physical toll of being a surrogate and exposes the wide gap in protections for surrogates in Nigeria. From financial mistreatment—being offered as little as ₦30,000/month for food (in this T-Pain economy?!)—to unnecessary, non-consensual C-sections, she names the exploitative practices of individuals and institutions alike. Her message is clear: Surrogacy is not a transaction. It's a relationship. One that requires empathy, informed consent, and long-term support.Whether you're a prospective surrogate, an intended parent, or a healthcare provider, this episode will challenge you to rethink everything you thought you knew about surrogacy. Listen now and be part of the conversation that centers care, dignity, and justice.

Back from Nashville & ready to go! Brian went to see Metallica in Tennessee over the weekend and spent a good portion of the morning recapping his trip. In the news this morning, a "missing" Wisconsin woman has been found alive & well after 63 years, T-Pain & the Wisconsin State Fair are in a bit of a dispute, there's some aggressive turkeys on the loose in the Eau Claire area, the voting process for the new Pope starts later this week, and it looks like we might be reopening Alcatraz. In sports, the Brewers were able to get a win over the Cubs yesterday, the Joey Logano got a win in Texas, and we recapped all the NBA & NHL playoff action from yesterday and took a look at tonight's NBA and NHL schedules. Elsewhere in sports, an update on the condition of Damian Lillard, Gregg Popovich will no longer be coaching for the Spurs, and the NFL draft is heading to the Nation's capital! We let you know what's on TV tonight, and we went over some stats & info for Cinco de Mayo! Plus, a quick, at-home test you can take that can help determine how healthy your brain is. And a new side-effect of taking Ozempic. Did you see the kid who created an A.I. pill bot to help his grandmother take the correct prescriptions? Also, check out this high school baseball team that helped put out a fire across the street from the field they were playing on. Check out this "no-look" play by a dad at the Yankees game over the weekend. Nice catch! And in today's edition of "Bad News with Happy Music", we had stories about a #FloridaMan who is throwing groceries at his neighbors, an attack at a Dairy Queen, a guy who keeps trying to touch women's feet at home-showings, an idiot who missed his exit on the highway, and a bar in Arizona that made a big oopsie.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

On this episode of “Bad Speakers TV,” Ya Boi Shad and G. Downs sat down with the self-proclaimed prince of the South, Lil Scrappy. Lil Scrappy shared his life story, starting with his upbringing in Atlanta, Georgia, with his grandparents. Later, he moved in with his mother, unaware that he would stay with her for the rest of his adolescence. After relocating to a more urban area with his mother, Lil Scrappy faced challenges with kids who were more advanced than him. He also spoke about his mother's drug dealing, pimping, and hustling activities, including hiding money in various locations. Lil Scrappy's journey into hip-hop began when he started writing music at the age of 10. With his mother's financial support he engaged in activities like photo shoots and CD printing to promote his music. A pivotal moment came when Lil Scrappy met Lil Jon and signed with BME Records after his hit song “Head Bussa” became a local sensation. He also recounted how he secured a record deal for the Atlanta group Crime Mob by simply mentioning the group to the record label. Lil Scrappy discussed the success of his hit single “Knuck If You Buck” and how he felt compelled to jump on the record. He also spoke about the breakup of Crime Mob and the reasons behind it. Lil Scrappy shared his early hit “No Problems” and mentioned his first album as a joint effort with the group Trillville. He also talked about the tension he faced when he wanted to collaborate with hip-hop icon and mogul 50 Cent. Lil Scrappy described 50 Cent's personality and how he offered financial assistance during a difficult time when Lil Scrappy needed mouth reconstructive surgery. He also discussed his hit single “Money in the Bank” and how it led to a residuals deal with the WWE. The WWE named one of their pay-per-views after the song, and Scrappy continues to receive money from them to this day. He then talked about signing with Ludacris and how the deal didn't work out in the long run. He also discussed the hit single “Bang” by Young Jeezy featuring Scrappy and T.I. and how the song came about. There was also an unreleased video for the song. He spoke about Kanye West and his recent rent situation, explaining why he understands some of Kanye West's statements. He also discussed how he earns money from the hit single “Buy You a Drink” by T-Pain and Young Joc because they used the song's money in the bank. He also talked about dating Amanda Seales. He also discussed Love and Hip Hop Atlanta, explaining his decision to join the show and how the opportunity arose. He addressed the authenticity of the show, delving into the viral episode where he and Stevie J engaged in a fight. Additionally, he shared insights into his relationship with his baby mom, Erica, and his interactions with other cast members on the show. He talked about his podcast and his top five Atlanta rappers of all time, including who he currently listens to and his current interests in hip-hop. Finally, he discussed his brief stint as a wrestler and his desire to do it again, but this time with the WWE. https://www.youtube.com/c/BadSpeakersTV https://www.instagram.com/badspeakerspodcast https://www.tiktok.com/@badspeakerspodcast https://twitter.com/BadSpeakers https://www.facebook.com/badspeakerspodcast
Things got weirdly cosmic this week—Joyhdae's ex (allegedly Michael B. Jordan) is back spinning the block in grills she bought, while Ryan's having an existential crisis about Legos and Virgo logic. And that's just the intro. We break down the very serious all-women celebrity space flight that somehow accomplished nothing but soft glam, awkward press quotes, and Auntie Gayle's wig fighting for its life on reentry. Meanwhile, Fyre Festival is officially cancelled indefinitely—again—and honestly, we don't know who needs more help: Billy McFarland or the people still buying those tickets.Coachella gave us everything we didn't know we needed: T-Pain pirouetting in perfect formation, Meg thee Stallion commanding the desert like she owns the whole state, and Missy Elliott transforming from a car like it's 2002. Festival season officially belongs to Black women. But then reality crashes back in: a deeply disturbing subway scandal involving a corpse (yes, a corpse) raises major questions about safety, sanity, and why necrophilia is somehow part of this week's news cycle. Add in Diddy trying to rebrand his legal team like it's a diversity initiative, and we're officially cooked.Thankfully, there's a flicker of beauty in the madness—the upcoming Met Gala's “Vogue Dandyism” theme is putting Black excellence and tailoring on the pedestal it deserves. At least the fashion's still giving. It's Virgo chaos, subway scandal, billionaires doing too much, and a little too much clarity about humanity being the true bad place.#VirgoSeasonPodcast ----We want to hear from you:Would you go to space with Katy Perry for representation? Ever since Seo Taiji and Boys broke onto the scene in their baggy overalls back in 1992, Korea has been working to cast as wide a cultural net as possible on the world stage. And, by placing young talent through rigorous game show incubators and pumping out dozens of attractive, talented, and universally appealing musical artists, they succeeded. With the meteoric rise of groups like BTS and Blackpink, K-Pop now had a hoard of die-hard fans in the West - a cross-cultural exchange to challenge Beatlemania. In this bonus episode, Hannah and Maia talk about K-Pop stans, who have become some of the loudest voices on the internet, and often use those voices for good. But when the conservative K-Pop industry subjects its artists to unprecedented levels of public scrutiny and input, and leaves them at the whims of a rabid global audience, can it spawn a new, dangerous form of parasocialism that we may never come back from? Tangents include an incredibly sophisticated T-Pain impression, and the tragically overlooked Lonely Island cinematic masterpiece, Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping. Social media has put art and entertainment from all corners of the world in the literal palm of your hand. Manga and anime (Japanese comic books and cartoons) hit mainstream American bookshelves and screens starting in the 1990s, and cross-cultural exchange has resulted in the development of distinct subcultures — including “blerds” or Black nerds. In this encore episode, St. Louis born and raised content creator Shawn “Rab” Fentress discusses the popularization of Blerd culture. Shawn has accumulated hundreds of thousands of followers for his distinct voice-overs of anime shows, which he calls “hood dubs,” and found success in creating online content with Nappy Boy Network, founded by rapper and singer T-Pain.

Popular music changes all the time, but there's been one consistent element in practically everything released in the last two decades: Auto-Tune is everywhere. What started as a simple audio processing tool in the 1990s has become the dominant force in music. Artists are training to sing with Auto-Tune; songs sound like Auto-Tune. Like it or hate it, Auto-Tune is everywhere. And to be clear, most people like it. On this episode of The Vergecast music journalist and Switched on Pop co-host Charlie Harding tells us the story of Auto-Tune. (Disclosure: Switched on Pop is part of the Vox Media Podcast Network, as is The Vergecast.) It starts, of all places, in the oil and gas industry. It involves artists like Cher and T-Pain, spreads like wildfire throughout the music business, and quickly becomes so utterly ubiquitous that you probably notice when Auto-Tune isn't used more than when it is. As we barrel toward whatever the “AI era” of music will be, we also look for clues in Auto-Tune's story that point to what's coming next. We talk about the distinct sound that comes from tools like Suno and Udio, how artists will use and abuse AI, and whether we should be worried about what it all means. We haven't yet found the “Believe” of the AI music era, but it's probably coming. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices
Comedian Angelo Tsarouchas returns to the show and they open by talking about the time Angelo lost a “high stakes” wrestling match with a large woman, his recent seat-reclining related altercation on a flight, and Bill Maher telling a Kamala jokes that was suspiciously close to something Adam posted. Next, Jason “Mayhem” Miller reads the news including stories about Whoopi Goldberg saying she “likes to be eaten from time to time” on The View, Denzel Washington saying that him kissing another man was cut out of Gladiator 2, Mark Zuckerberg dropping a single with T-Pain, Joe Rogan listing the Harris campaign's requirements for appearing on his podcast, and satire publication The Onion buying Alex Jones' Infowars at auction with Sandy Hook families' backing. Then, Dr. Mark Hyman joins the show to talk about the selection of foods that make up an ideal diet, the dangers of refined seed oils, the “illness industrial complex”, the forces that are profiting off of making people sick, and the propaganda that is used to convince people to eat poorly.
