Hidey Hole & Missing Evidence Segment Bryan Kohberger's Missing KA-BAR Knife: FBI Expert on Hidden Caches, Trophies & Lost Evidence Even with Bryan Kohberger convicted and serving a life sentence, key evidence in the Idaho Four murders is still missing — most notably, the KA-BAR knife and the clothing he wore on the night of the killings. In this in-depth interview, retired FBI Special Agent Jennifer Coffindaffer explores the possibility that Kohberger may have created his own “hidey hole” for evidence, similar to BTK or Israel Keyes — a stash of weapons, clothing, or trophies hidden away for him to revisit. We discuss how post-crime behavior in similar offenders often involves retaining key items as part of the fantasy loop, rather than discarding them. Could that be why the KA-BAR and other evidence has never been recovered? And what about the IDs found at Kohberger's parents' home — not just the two that have been discussed publicly, but the ten listed on the FBI property receipt? Why are only two being talked about, and what does that mean for the investigation? Jennifer shares her insight into how offenders often curate and conceal physical reminders of their crimes, and why these hidden caches can hold both psychological significance for the offender and potential forensic value for investigators. We also explore whether there's any incentive for Kohberger to reveal these locations, and how that could play into his desire for notoriety. If these items are ever found, they could answer questions that have lingered for years — or open up disturbing new ones. #BryanKohberger #Idaho4 #TrueCrime #HiddenKillers #KABAR #FBIProfiler #IdahoMurders #BTK #IsraelKeyes #CrimeNews Keywords: Bryan Kohberger, Idaho murders, KA-BAR knife, Kohberger hidey hole, BTK killer, Israel Keyes, Kohberger evidence, Idaho4 case, Kohberger trophies, FBI profiler, Jennifer Coffindaffer, Idaho crime Want to comment and watch this podcast as a video? Mark Hudon is a bonafide climbing legend. One of the best free climbers of the 70s and early 80s, he and partner Max Jones looked past convention and moved hard free climbing to the big walls of Yosemite. His article Long, Hard and Free inspired a whole generation of climbers, including Todd Skinner and Paul Piana, and laid the groundwork for the game that is Yosemite big wall free climbing. In this episode we discuss the idea that eventually led to the Free Salathe, how Mark felt about it finally getting done, and how his philosophy about climbing has changed over time. We recap the pivotal final weekend of League One Alberta matches. The Calgary Blizzard won the women's division on Friday evening at Broadview with a win over Villains. The Blizzard men's team needed to wait until Sunday afternoon to lift their trophy. They prevailed in the final showdown against the St. Albert Impact. We talk about both matches. The Calgary Wild played AFC Toronto at McMahon on Saturday. Their offence showed some signs of life but they weren't able to defeat Toronto, who had one of their goals come from Calgarian Kaylee Hunter. We preview Cavalry FC's match vs Pacific on Monday afternoon. Typically Cavalry has played well against Pacific and they could really use a good performance (and three points) to snap out of their recent funk. Also we have a brief Sydney Wathuta update as he's been playing really well for Rapids 2 and recently had a chance to join the senior side.Subscribe to our Substack or follow us on Twitter/X or on Instagram or Bluesky. Our website is yycsoccer.com

What are we pursuing? What are we after? Would your answer to this question match the answer of your spouse or your children? The world prioritizes wealth, power, and fame. The Declaration of Independence states that all men are created equal and are entitled to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Often, we twist that last part to mean that we can do what makes us happy. To the founding fathers who penned those words, happiness was family, opportunity, and freedom to govern themselves in a way that had not been known under colonial rule. If we pursue happiness in the way the world defines it, we are governed by emotions that will eventually disappoint and leave us wanting. The things the world defines as happiness are temporal. We award trophies for accomplishments. Sports, The Art, cook-offs, and many other activities present awards, certificates, plaques, and trophies for being the best or coming in first in a competition. Awards are fine, and the temporary recognition for an accomplishment is nice, but if that becomes the goal in life, what have we accomplished? If you win the county fair apple pie contest, you have the blue ribbon to commemorate that, but what will that mean many years later? The blue ribbon mattered in the moment, but over time, that will be forgotten, and someone else will win the prize. Trophies do not last forever. We must chase after things that are worth it. Some will ask, "Don't I deserve to be happy? Can't I pursue winning the prize?" Sure, you can, but at what cost? The Bible has many stories of people who pursued what made them happy, but at a high price: Eve, Lot, Saul, David, Esau, and Judas all traded much for a very temporary reward. Our text asks, "What does it profit a man to win if it costs him his soul?" If we win awards, but neglect Jesus, it is all for naught. Trophies are temporal, but crowns are eternal. Trophies represent moments, but crowns represent a lifetime.

Former Top 15 player and current tennis broadcaster Jan-Michael Gambill joins the podcast to discuss the beginning of grass season, which featured several exciting matches and storylines in its opening week. Gambill recaps Taylor Fritz's title in Stuttgart, and explains why he holds such a commanding edge over Alexander Zverev, who he defeated in the final. The commentator also breaks down the incredible run by 37-year-old Tatjana Maria to win Queen's Club, and explains why her slice-heavy style causes problems to the game's top players. And Gambill analyzes how Gabriel Diallo was able to win his first trophy in s-Hertogenbosch, and what enabled eventual champ Elise Mertens to save 11(!) match points in her semifinal encounter. Gambill then looks ahead to some big grass court events this week, and explains what Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner are looking for during their Wimbledon preparations. The Tennis Channel broadcaster also dives into Naomi Osaka's grass court game, the expectation on Jack Draper, and which women's players off the radar have a shot to go deep at the All England Club. And don't miss his thoughts on the US Open Mixed Doubles event in 2025, which just announced some teams that include the biggest stars in the sport! Hosted by Mitch Michals.

Profiler: Why Gilgo Beach Killer Kept Murder Trophies and a 'Kill Manual' for 20 Years Description: In this chilling episode, retired FBI Special Agent and former head of the Behavioral Analysis Program Robin Dreeke reveals the dark psychology behind Rex Heuermann's most damning evidence - the murder planning document discovered on his computer and his collection of newspaper clippings about the Gilgo Beach killings. Why would someone accused of murdering seven women keep a detailed "kill manual" for over two decades? Dreeke explains how the 'HK2002-04' document, containing sections on body disposal, DNA avoidance, and victim selection, represents more than just planning - it's a window into the mind of a methodical predator. The document included disturbing notes like "wash body inside and all cavities" and "remove head and hands," showing a level of premeditation rarely seen even in serial killer cases. But perhaps even more revealing is Heuermann's collection of "trophies" - newspaper clippings dating back to 1993, including a 2016 People Magazine cover story about the Gilgo Beach murders. Dreeke analyzes why serial offenders keep such dangerous mementos and what psychological needs these items fulfill. Is it about reliving the crimes? Maintaining control? Or something even darker? Drawing from his decades of experience in behavioral analysis and counterintelligence, Dreeke explains how Heuermann's need to document and collect represents a fatal flaw common among serial offenders - the very evidence meant to help them often becomes their downfall. He also discusses how technology has changed the way predators operate, from the creation of digital planning documents to the mistakes that led to Heuermann's capture, including taking selfies with burner phones. This conversation is essential listening for anyone trying to understand the criminal mind and offers valuable insights into recognizing dangerous behavior patterns. Whether you're a true crime enthusiast, psychology student, or someone concerned about personal safety, Dreeke's expert analysis provides a rare glimpse into how the FBI profiles and catches serial killers in the digital age. We've all chased the “bucket list” shot—the iconic scenes everyone wants. But is that really where creativity lives? In this episode, I talk about letting go of trophy hunting and leaning into personal expression, being present, and making images that reflect how you see the world.
Send us a textThis is a repeat show from early in my podcast history where I sat and chatted with my Father, Sprague Edwards. He was where I always thought my sense of humor came from. We lost him in mid-2020 and I am thankful I was able to record this before he passed. It really isn't comedy based; but a good story about a good man, and it is topped off by a short set from my Dad's favorite comic....Pat Paulsen. We heard what current day Mike & The Mad Dog would sound like with their 2 different takes on Leon Rose/Jim Dolan. The Mets lost to the Dodgers in the tenth as Brandon Nimmo misplayed a fly ball to end it. The Yankees beat the Guardians and we heard Dave Sims as Jazz Chisholm returned to the lineup and homered. The Moment of The Day: Frank The Tank has had it with the noise at Dodger Stadium. In the final segment of the show, Gio watched the Bin Laden documentary on Netflix and said it's ‘engrossing'.
