The newest trend to sweep across millenial and gen-z Christians goes by the name "deconstruction," a movement resulting in many walking completely away from their faith. Coined by French philosopher, Jacques Derrida, Deconstruction is to voluntarily displace and expose incongruences in the culture, literature, logic, and principles surrounding a certain ideolog. Which, from the surface seems like and is a necessary and useful tool to find the truth. However, if one adopts the widespread societal subscription to the postmodern belief that absolute truth doesn't exist (Whether that be consciously or not), Deconstruction is an aimless mission that in the end leaves you circling around this idea that truth is whatever you want it to be. This is where many young Christians are finding themselves today. Join Tori Culp, Noah Theis, and Myself as we discuss and dissect the cause and the proper solutions to the deconstruction journey.
