Once again our talented broadcasters were given the most amazing opportunity to broadcast live from the show floor at the world's biggest IT Education exhibition, BETT, at London's ExCEL. Working alongside the fantastic Russell Prue from Anderton Tiger Broadcasting, and taking over the official BETT radio station for over an hour, these children excelled and could not have made me more proud. Professional, confident and full f personality. This was a show to remember. Our huge thanks to Russell and everyone at NetSupport for making us so welcome.

Once again we were LIVE from the Christmas Fair at Westwood with Iford School. A fun hour of broadcasting, full of festive cheer and great chat from the team. A very fluid show with people popping in and out to take part all afternoon. Love the confidence of all of our children and their ability to create such a wonderful show in all situations.

Today we were welcomed back once again for another outside broadcast live from Wiltshire Heights in Bradford on Avon. Part of our excellent inter-generational links with the community, the children interviewed residents Pat, Anna and Sylvia about their time living abroad and it was a pleasure to listen to them speak and share their memories. Well done everyone, an outstanding broadcast.

Westwood Talk returns with your weekly round-up of the exciting life in and around Westwood with Iford Primary School. Catching up on the first 5 weeks, there is lots to discuss as we continue to engage with the community and provide so many learning opportunities for our children.

Our super-talented broadcasters return for another amazing lunchtime show and today's was slick, professional and so much fun. If you need an example of quality #educationradio this is it and it was a pleasure to witness these children showing such confidence behind the microphone. For some, this is only their second ever show. Not that you would know!

Today saw the return of Westwood Radio for 2019-20 with another cracking live show and a brand new Thursday team. Outstanding performances from everyone and fantastic scripting. It's hard to believe this was their first show together and for some, their first show ever!

This afternoon we welcomed Al Kingsley, CEO of Netsupport Group, to the Westwood Radio studio. Al kindly visited us for the day and the children took the opportunity to chat with Al about technology in education, his inspiration and many developments within Netsupport, plus of course radio. We had a wonderful time and are grateful to Al for the time, experience and discussion we had with him.

Our very last Friday show of the year came live from Wiltshire Heights Residential Care Home. Once again we had great fun entertaining and involving the residents in a live show and we have thoroughly enjoyed our collaboration with them this year.

After getting our Innovation in Music project off to such a fantastic start, today we performed three songs that we have been learning as a school to a packed audience of parents and invited guests, who all loved it! In this final Friday show for Group 1, everyone has great fun creating some truly outstanding education radio as we say goodbye to our talented Year 6 children. These broadcasters have been on such a fantastic journey and this is a fitting end to their Westwood Radio broadcasting career. Thank you everyone.

Today was another very special show as welcomed dads and male family members into the studio for our Father's Friday show. With plenty of off-script dialogue, great features and professional delivery, our team were on good form again and this was the perfect way to get ready for the weekend.

With a busy last week and many sporting activities and the scarecrow trail to cover, including a live broadcast from the Westwood Radio team, there's lots packed into just 16 minutes of this Westwood Talk!

As part of the Westwood Scarecrow Trail 2019, we broadcast a live 2 hour show from the school car park. During the show we spoke to some trailgoers, presented features and school pre-records and had some great chat and off-script discussion in a style of show we've not tried before. Huge thanks to Matthew, Emily, Benedict and Lucy who gave up their bank holiday afternoon to present on the show.

After taking a trip to BBC Broadcasting House last Friday for The Young Arias awards, I sat down with the boys from the Word on the Street team to talk about their experience, what they have learned and how they feel broadcasting has helped them. Completely unscripted, this is an inspiring podcast.
