TDS Radio is excited for October, and it has nothing to do with the celebration of Columbus Day [sic], and everything to do with our featured guest! XL8R magazine called this month's guest one of Chicago's top 10 DJs...and considering how thumping with the techno Chicago's been over the last couple of years (and on the longer scale, in general), that's quite the accolade. We're flattered and super excited to have Hiroko Yamamura on the show! ***Featured set*** 11pm: Hiroko Yamamura B2B w/ DJ Ry-N Trax Records | Apollo Music Group Technology and exploration are at the roots of Hiroko's core. Equally enthralled by the beat and the machines generating them, her sound is an homage to every circuit, resistor, patch cord and application that brings voice and inspiration to her work. Her gothic and industrial roots are evident in her music, as well as her punk rock DIY drive. Taking inspiration from classic science fiction and dark anime, Hiroko's studio can often be confused for a booth at a comic convention. Currently calling labels such as Trax Records, Impact Mechanics, Slap Jaxx and Klectik as home, she just recently returned from a long hiatus from music. Her previous projects under the Bio-Booster and as a member of Monologic have not ceased, however they have taken a back seat to a more focused techno vision. As a midwest rave staple, Hiroko has toured the globe spreading the sounds of Chicago including gigs at the famed Detroit Movement Festival as well as regular Berlin and Ibiza shows. Hiroko currently calls clubs such as Spybar and Soundbar home. She actively contributes jacking Chicago techno with an edge all its own, along with her like-minded colleagues and collaborators including Heartthrob, Seth Troxler, Hyperactive, Angel Alanis, Kate Simko and the Submerge. Find out why XLR8R named her one of Chicago's top 10 DJs. ***Opening set*** 10pm: Franktronic (Frank H. Payne) Noisefloor - Chicago | Techno Delivery Systems

Hugo, as a jazz trained musician, found inspiration to make music from a combination of elements and influences. His 10 years career takes him all over the world. Since the beginning Hugo focused his efforts on the “live performance” side of dance music, creating several live projects as UBIT, that delivered the Ibiza anthem A-sid chosen by Mauro Picotto for his Meganite mixed set in 2004 and COMADISCO, an electro-punk trio experiment built to explore the darkest side of his talent, releasing its mega hit “Love in a bookshop” on Irma Elettrica in 2005. After several dancefloor burner, HUGO started to explore the brighter side of his dance attitude releasing a series of fresh tunes which blended jazz, house and funk that brought him out on the worldwide scene. In 2008 Hugo released "The Sloop and the Siren" on Jay Haze's label Tuning Spork. The Sloop rapidly became a must have for all the dj's of the global scene, a contemporary classic for dance music market. Hugo's works have been appreciated by the most influential artists and his remixes are gaining great feedbacks all around. Hugo is rocking the globe with shows in the most valuable world clubs as Womb, Fabric, Paradiso, Footwork, Watergate, Rex and traveling around 12 months a year. His anthem “The Sloop” has been selected as official soundtrack of Detroit Movement Festival 2009 and his production has been released by labels such as Tuning Spork, Mobilee, Systematic, Viva, 2020 Vision, Great Stuff, Om, Cr2, Claque, Rebirth, Material, Formatik among the others. 2010 will see the first steps on his new project, Goodvibe Records http://www.goodviberecords.com/ where he is going to release with his fellow mates and producers from all over the electronic music global scene. Goodvibe Records headquarter will be in Turin, where Hugo built a new studio, Nipple Slip Studio, and where he is working silently at his next vision, a solo album.
