From the storied streets of Hamburg and Berlin to the deep-rooted house culture of Chicago, Florian Kruse and Dilee D bring together two musical journeys into one creative partnership. Their paths converge in a shared passion for emotional, forward-thinking electronic music and a healthy respect for the scene's colourful past. With solo releases spread across imprints like Mobilee and Idyllik Records, they've each carved out distinct identities—but now unified through their collaborative Clockwork Mind EP recently released on on Sasha's Last Night On Earth. In this Balance Selections mix, Florian and Dilee channel their transatlantic experiences and deep studio chemistry into a session that's both personal and precise. Featuring tracks from Max Cooper, WhoMadeWho, and AFFKT, as well as their own unreleased work, the mix reflects their belief in storytelling through sound. @dileedofficial @floriankruse

Book Timo Maas: https://timesartists.com/timo-maas/ Timo Maas is a storyteller. For him, it's never about back-to-back bangers or brainless hits, but about crafting, building, teasing and eventually pleasing. From hefty concrete funk to stripped-back and brain-altering techno via psychedelic synths stronger than any drug, he knows exactly what to play and when. He has done so at every major club and festival on the planet from Tomorrowland to Kazantip, Creamfields to Coachella, while for 17 years during the golden years of Ibiza's Circoloco party at DC10 he was a regular guest, which is a testament to the fact that he has always stayed ahead of the times. Two-time Grammy Award-nominated Timo has made every shade of electronic music from famous remixes of Azzido Da Bass and Depeche Mode, leftfield reworks of Afro-Peruvian group Novalima and Indonesian all-female heavy metal band Voice of Baceprot via work with pop greats like Paul McCartney, Madonna and Placebo. But his pure love of techno keeps him coming back to his most famous sound. It's all united by his ability to craft weighty bass and rolling drums that lock you in. To dream up unusual breakdowns, freaky vocal treatments and deftly designed details that sound like nothing else. He has released on majors like Warner and Virgin and underground staples like Stripped Down Records, Cocoon, Mobilee, Tenampa and Last Night On Earth. But whatever he does and wherever he does it, Timo is always investigating new musical grounds.

Dave Seaman - YoHo (incl. James Harcourt Remix) - Selador Support from Eelke Kleijn, Paul Van Dyk, M.A.N.D.Y., AFFKT, Anthony Pappa, Danny Howells, Nicole Moudaber, Hernan Cattaneo, Luke Brancaccio, Timo Maas, Aikon, Tim Engelhardt, Just Her The Boss is back in town, and how. On a roll…in the ascendancy…top of the current form table…all epithets that could be applied to Dave and his stellar output in recent months, be it solo or in tandem with Quivver; on Selador, or with our friends at labels such as Sum Over Histories, Mobilee, Einmusika and Poker Flat. And so to YoHo. It might sound like a new brand of pro-biotic yoghurt, or a vodka mixer… or even, as in our case, conjure up visions of piratical shenanigans. Be warned however, this particular sonic shanty, will provide all the treasure you'll need for your own desert island disco. The Original mix is textbook Dave, growing bigger and broodier with each newly introduced motif. The post-breakdown conclusion a squelching and menacing fusion of Bauhaus meets DJ Pierre proportions. The Teutonic Dub then strips things back to bass-ics, an intoxicating brew that nods to the original Prog sound circa 1991 while sounding every bit as 2024 as a Tory MP abadoning ship. Our triumphant triptych is completed by one of our favourite Seladorians, Mr James Harcourt. In a move too seldom seen, James does much more than just nod to the vibe of Dave's originals, but equally his scattergun riffage and gorgeous keys take the tune to a euphoric elsewhere. So much so, it was the version Dave & Quivver chose for inclusion on their upcoming Balance Mix compilation album. Ooh ahhh.. Shiver mi timbers! Team Selador – YoHo ho and a bottle of your finest.

And you thought we were going to stop at three? No siree, not us, always gluttons for punishing ourselves with only the Toppermost Tuneage™. So, we had a little summer break from the Decade EPs, which enabled us to release some other humdingers. Now like D-Mob we're back with a vengeance, and it's time for tracks 12-15 in Selador's birthday-celebrating Crate of Colossal Collabs™. 4 more tracks, 8 more artists, and we could easily subtitle this instalment Face Melters R Us™, as purely by coincidence, each dream team was clearly in Peak Time Banger™ mode. So without any further palaver, here's the Tunes to Make You Go Hmmmm™. Quivver & Dave Seaman: 'Rapid Unscheduled Assembly' Long time mates and mutual admirers, Dave and Quivver have collaborated on releases for Mobilee, Poker Flat, Einmusika & Controlled Substance over recent months and we're chuffed to bits their fifth Certified Floorfiller™ is right here, right now. Oona Dahl & Doc Martin: 'Soul on Fire (dub)' Getting our old mucker Doc on the Decade series and a label debut for Oona Dahl were both high on the wish list. The two of them together produce the expected fireworks, and this thus drops straight in the basket marked Wish Fufilment Overload™. Magit Cacoon & Lonya: 'Quantum' Another debutant / previous Seladorian combo, and we're proud to have the one and only Magit Cacoon add Selador to the enviable list of labels she has worked with, alongside another special talent in The Vanguard of Clubland™, our good chum Lonya. Murat Uncuoglu & Igor Bartyuk: 'Laurel' The man like Murat graces Selador for no less than the fifth time, teaming up with the masterful Igor Bartyuk, who has been making serious waves, most notably on the Surrealism imprint. Two minds working as one, clearly Together In Electronica Dreams™. Team Selador – House, Techno & All Flavours Inbetween™

Creative force GIGEE is riding high, cutting through as one of the most exciting fresh producers right now. The Polish-born, Paris-based producer's 2019 debut ‘Reborn Pulse' EP on Berlin based label Katermukke put her firmly in the spotlight, charting high in Beatport's Melodic House & Techno top 100 within days, and singled out for support by Sven Vath. She followed that up by also joining and becoming an exciting new name on Ralf Kollman and Anja Schneider's Mobilee roster with her ‘Lullaby' EP. She had honed her skills ghost-writing for other producers but was now putting her name out there and gaining her rightful place in the electronic scene. Hey music lovers! We are so happy to share 200th podcast but more excited to have big legend on our anniversary. Please welcome, TIMO MAAS, who is true storyteller. But whatever he does and wherever he does it, Timo is always investigating new musical grounds and this set is no difference. You must listen to this and we know you will enjoy it!

Steve's musical career began when he was 7 years old, trying to play a Roland synthesizer which belonged to his mother. Having learned how to make inspiring sounds via trial and error, Steve eventually discovered the electronic music space and has been often associated with his very first mentor Ramon Tapia. Synonymous with quality dancefloor productions, Steve Slight has won releases on Armada, Sudbeat, Selador, Mango Alley to name a few. Also running his own mix series on SoundCloud and calling it 'SLIGHTCAST', we're amped to invite Steve Slight on our show for an exclusive one hour mix. Enjoy! // Tracklist // 01.
Ray Okpara on the Virtual Sessions presented by The DJ Sessions 1/12/22 About Ray Okpara - An artist whose roots lie half in Nigeria represents today what we understand as House. Percussions, drifty hypnotic beats, a touch of soul and marvelously deep. House is a feeling and Ray Okpara has his finger firmly on the pulse… The first thing that strikes you about Ray Okpara is that he's an overwhelmingly nice guy with what seems like time for everybody but behind the big smile and wiley dreads is one of house music's most serious producer/djs. Despite coming to prominence during the media's 2008 obsession with Frankfurt/Mannheim via releases on Cecille, Oslo, Get Physical and Area Remote, Okpara has been instrumental in Germany's flourishing house scene for well over a decade. Initially taking to the decks to play his close friend Johnny D's UK Garage records in the mid-90's, Okpara quickly found his groove and by the time the pair started their RAJO club night a fervent dedication to all things house engulfed the young Nigerian. In 2001 Nick Curly joined the team and the night began it's residency at The Loft in Mannheim – becoming the seed of what has since become one of the strongest house music family trees in Europe. As with most Djs, the production itch had to be scratched but, unlike most, Okpara's initial efforts betrayed an innate talent for the craft. Lomidhigh Ltd, Drumpoet Community and Arearemote are an enviable bunch to count as early adopters for any budding producer and this start just strengthened Ray's resolve. Rejoining his tight knit group of friends, now running the Oslo, Deep Vibes, Cecille and 8-Bit imprints, after a four year relocation to Berlin in 2005, Ray's reputation was cemented and the rest is history. Now based back in Berlin with a heavy touring schedule as a DJ and a dedicated live artist, Okpara continues to go from strength to strength. His Ama label rolls out consistently quality output in an unhurried manner while his own productions continue to hit home for crowds, critics and record buyers alike. As well as ongoing relationships forged in his Mannheim days, affiliations with Oslo and Mobilee are being nurtured and with many more projects still to be unveiled 2012 and beyond is looking pretty rosy for the cheery guy. KEEP SMILING WITH HOUSE MUSIC... Ama Recordings is Ray Okpara's label out of Mannheim, Germany. Amaefule, Ray's middle name in fact, literally means “your name will never get lost” and it symbolizes the strength of identity we create through music. Ama is also derived from the Latin meaning of love and the philosophy of the label is born out of the affection held for conceiving and sharing quality electronic music. There are no rules about what Ama Recordings will sound like, but it comes from the heart, so expect true house values to be maintained at all times with a natural tipp towards the deep and dubby. http://dj.beatport.com/rayokpara http://www.livet.de/artists/ray_okpara/ http://www.mobilee-records.de/artists/ray-okpara http://soundcloud.com/rayokpara About The DJ Sessions - With over 2,200 episodes produced over the last eleven years “The DJ Sessions”, a Twitch and Mixcloud “Featured Partner”, has featured international artists such as: BT, Robert Babicz, Camo & Krooked, Simon Patterson, Lindsey Stirling, Mako, Morgan Page, Jes, Cut Chemist, Yves Larock, Bjorn Akesson, Alchimyst, Judge Jules, DubFX, DJs From Mars, Ray Okpara, Rudosa, Thievery Corporation, Sander Van Dorn, GAWP, Coke Beats, Hollaphonic, Kissy Sell Out, Somna, David Morales, Roxanne, JB & Scooba, Massimo Vivona, Moullinex, Futuristic Polar Bears, Many Few, Joe Stone, Reboot, Truncate, Scotty Boy, Jody Wisternoff, Benny Bennasi, Dance Loud, Christopher Lawrence, Oliver Twizt, Ricardo Torres, Alex Harrington, 4 Strings, Sunshine Jones, Elite Force, Revolvr, Kenneth Thomas, Paul Oakenfold, George Acosta, Reid Speed, TyDi, Donald Glaude, Jimbo, Ricardo Torres, Hotel Garuda, Bryn Liedl, Rodg, Kems, Mr. Sam, Steve Aoki, Funtcase, Dirtyloud, Marco Bailey, Thousand Fingers, Dirtmonkey, Crystal Method, Beltek, Dyro, Andy Caldwell, Darin Epsilon, Kyau & Albert, Kutski, Vaski, Moguai, Blackliquid, Sunny Lax, Matt Darey, and many more. We often get questions about the differences between types of collagen, what brands are the best, what the actual benefits are, etc. In this week's episode we brought back our special guest, Casey, who is going to answer some of these questions and explain the anti-aging effects of collagen, as well as some of the other benefits. He will also explain why our Collagen Ultra Powder is a better choice than many collagen products on store shelves. Products Mentioned in Today's Show Collagen Ultra Powder - Collagen Ultra contains FORTIGEL® which has been shown in human studies to stimulate collagen regeneration, type II collagen and aggrecan, which all help to maintain healthy connective tissue.1-3 Most therapies simply block joint pain and connective tissue discomfort from exercise, and in doing so inhibit the regeneration and elongation of specific precursors, such as polysaccharides, and deplete nutrients such as vitamin C and magnesium that maintain joint and connective tissue health. FORTIGEL®, TendoActive® and Mobilee® protect and preserve cartilage, tendons, ligaments, intervertebral discs, and fascia. These three clinically studied ingredients support the natural healing process and maintain the structure of connective tissues. Hair, Skin, and Nails - Hair, Skin, and Nails provides several essential vitamins, minerals, and phytonutrients needed to support healthy skin, hair and nails. This formulation provides betaine HCL, which helps to promote efficient digestion and assimilation of protein and minerals necessary for hair and nail health. It includes MSM, which provides a bioavailable source of sulfur, for connective tissue integrity. Saw palmetto is added to support normal levels of DHT, known to play a role in the thickness and health of hair. In addition, silica (from horsetail grass extract) is included for its collagen enhancing properties. Each serving contains 325 mg MSM, 100 mg betaine HCl and 240 mg saw palmetto. Added support from vitamin A, D3, folic acid, B12, biotin and selenium provide a full spectrum of skin, hair and nail support. You can also listen to Anti-Aging Effects of Collagen on our YouTube channel here.

Creative force GIGEE is riding high, cutting through as one of the most exciting fresh producers right now. 2020 alone saw Berlin’s Katermukke imprint eager for her return with her two-tracker ‘Minotaur’ , and "Hall of Gods". The Polish-born, Paris-based producer’s 2019 debut ‘Reborn Pulse’ EP on the imprint put her firmly in the spotlight, charting high in Beatport’s Melodic House & Techno top 100 within days, and singled out for support by Sven Vath. In the last 12 months she also joined Mobilee’s roster with her ‘Lullaby’ EP. A newish name, but long successful, GIGEE honed her skills ghost-writing for other producers before claiming her name and her rightful place in the electronic scene. Selftaught producer GIGEE has a fresh take on techno, blending elements such as progressive and melodic house and techno but typically rejecting formula and rulebook. Crossing genres not only in music but in fields of interest such as fashion or philanthropy, she works simultaneously on multiple ideas in a perfect creative storm. A longime fan of classical music, she’s currently working on a classical/electronic interface project among other new music which inspires her. Her tracks have scored accolades artists now dream of, featuring in huge Spotify playlists such as Electronic Rising, Fresh Finds, Friday Crate Diggers, Fresh Finds: Basement and Techno Warehouse, Low Key Tech, Minimal Techno... She’s turning heads of revered established names too with Laurent Garnier, Solomun, Charlotte de Witte and more regularly featuring her in their playlists. Beatport staff have repeatedly picked her releases for Best New Melodic Techno of the Week & Month while her tracks have hit international Top 100 Techno & Electronic Charts with #7 place in Brazil, #2 Austria, #13 Germany and #6 France at its peak. She’s also a resident for FG’s MAXXIMUM Radio, her monthly show ‘Playing The Field with GIGEE’ being a firm favourite and regularly airing on Radio FG (France), along with a monthly Uncoded Radio residency. Growing up she was always a geek with the best playlist and CDs. For early influences she cites Paul Kalkbrenner, after exploring electro house, Brodinski, Boys Noize...and the dramatic passion of classical music. Her DJ days started during a gap year in Paris; already a music- head, she collaborated with music collectives and played at the famous Batofar Club, before choosing music as a profession. ‘Whimsical and with a strong sense of narrative, Polish born GIGÉE’s melodic techno sound situates the rising producer among the musthear newcomers in the genre’s expansive roster’ (Dancing Astronaut)‘ A favourite young talent supported by legends like Solomun or John Digweed’ (Electronic Beats)‘ This new face/This rising powerhouse is becoming a force to reckon with’ (Raver Rafting)‘ Who to keep an eye on? Definitely GIGEE. This girl is a future techno star’ (Dimitri De Witt- former Tiesto manager)

Barcelona/Berlin soundclash alert! Two of our favourite cities, both electronic music epicentres, are front and centre as SEL133 drives into town with Squire at the wheel and Hannes Bieger on co-pilot duty. Regular holidays to Ibiza as a teenager inspired Squire’s (aka Jaime Algersuari) love of house and techno and so began his pursuit of a life behind the decks. Such was his passion, he actually chose music over a highly promising career as a Formula 1 driver and F1’s loss proved clubland’s gain as Jaime has blossomed into a highly sought-after producer with releases across labels such as Mobilee, Einmusika and Get Physical. In pole position here, ’True Religion’ leads from the front showcasing Squire’s trademark sound: Deep, hook-laden synth riffs and indie vocal stylings riding a growling bassline, menacing and uplifting in equal measure, entirely befitting of this most welcome of Selador debuts. Also gracing the label for the first time, we are delighted to welcome Hannes Bieger aboard. Having carved a niche as one of Europe’s most in-demand mixing engineers, recent years have seen Hannes releasing his own productions for the likes of Bedrock and Poker Flat, and the fabulous ‘Poem For The Planet’ on Awesome Soundwave. His ‘True Religion’ re-work is another perfect specimen of a master craftsman at work. The release is then crowned by another superb original work from Squire. ‘Glowing’ is another call to the floor helmed by what we reckon is one of the most memorable synth lines of the year to date. Step on it! Selador Recordings: Top gear x

#ReclaimEDM Podcast 02 features unique soulful deep-house tracks from around the world, mixed live by DJ nomsta. (www.nomsta.net), featuring tracks by Chewy Rubs, Dubble D presents Moodymanc, Johannes Albert, Vincenzo, Bassart, Michael Mayer, Joe Goddard, MANTU, Salif Keita x Megablast, KERINNIS, Anja Schneider, La Fleur, Gezender and L Cio. The mix starts with the tempo of 116 bpm, as most upbeat funk tracks would similarly be, opening with "Get Down" a remix of the 1978 Gene Chandler song by disco-nu-disco re-editor/producer Chewy Rubs whose most recent release was on Yam Who's Midnight Riot label, I let the funk flow keeping all the tracks strictly at 116 bpm for a steady deepburn groove. Mixing by looping in the claps and vocal one shot of 2007 old-but-gold 20:20 Vision release of "Wiggle" by Manchester jazz drummer house producer Moodymanc aka Dubble D, the track has this vintage deep house, perfect to follow with more of the 80s-electro Chicago feeling by Johannes Albert's Hip Edits of the 1987 Mickey Oliver song "Never Let Go" featuring the vocals of Shanna Jay with updated kicks and bassline. 20-something years old Italian Corrado Bucci is a bit of a wonder child/posterboy of the jazzy-soulful house circles with his sophisticated productions seeing pressings from top quality labels like Compost, Defected, Local Talk and BBE Music, who also does A&R and scouting now for Japanese label Rebirth Records where he signed his debut to in 2012. Soulful deep house Berliner Vincenzo gave an uplifting remix to Bucci's "Sumthin'" which is a great filler to bridge to Dortmund/Berlin label Raving Society's dubby synthy lush electro release of "Innstruments" by fellow German Bassart. Indie-electro band Hot Chip's member and vocalist Joe Goddard has been putting out solo material since around 2009 and has formed a bit of a production partnership with Kompakt Records' co-owner and veteran Michael Mayer, so it's not surprising to see him providing a remix to Goddard's latest release on Domino "Children". I had to play a cheeky bootleg of Malinese "Golden Voice of Africa" Salif Keita's ode to women and feminism in Africa, "Moussolou", which also features female Malinese singer Oumou Sangare. Osunlade did an official Yoruba Soul mix of the song but it has a more organic feel although it's till a deep house track, I like the club feel of Megablast's re-edit which is really more like a remix. A bit of trivia about "Wassoulou sound" of Mali - since their independence in the 60's, the Wassoulou region of Mali has produced many strong female musicians creating new music based on their traditional dances and rhythms combined with the djembe drums and a harp-like instrument invented by local youths during this period called the kamalengoni, which gave birth to music unique to Wassoulou that communicates a sense of youthful rebellion and freedom. 2nd half of the mix goes deeper into deeper house and quite accidentally stringing a list of Berlin based artists together. I'm very excited about Berlin-based Get Physical artist MANTU aka Manuel Overbeck who has started his own label Raving Society and has signed some outstanding releases of late. His very own "Underwater Solution" has been described as melancholic but I think it's just the deep jazzy chords and bassline doing its thing. I also got sent a promo EP that includes a dreamy spoken word deep house number "Poetry Jam" by another Berlin producer Kerinnis. Up next, is "Secret Escapes" by yet another Berliner but a veteran, Anja Schneider from her first album after 9 years on her new label SoUS after leaving Mobilee the label she found more than a decade ago. La Fluer is a Swedish-now-living-in Berlin and has this new deep tech house track "Femton" out on the legendary club-label Watergate where he is also one of the resident DJs. The track was also featured in their Nov 2017 Watergate XV compilation. To finish, a remix of "Duhka" by a Brazilian producer L Cio for another Brazilian Gezender, who said that the track was inspired by zen music, mantras and Buddhist songs and was trying to "bring it to sensibile and sensory techno with spiritual, philosophical and political questions". Now, that's what I called deep. Christian Smith is one of the world's leading creators of techno music, and remains bold and innovative as both a DJ and producer. With his impressive output in recent years, it's hard to imagine a list of prolific producers without his name near the top. He's been at the top of his game for over a decade with his trademark groovy-techno sound. Christian has dominated the charts and DJ playlists with a steady flow of releases on high profile labels like Plus8/Minus, Drumcode, Cocoon, Bedrock, Mobilee and Tronic. His latest EP “Force Majeure”, released in July 2016 on Drumcode, went straight to #3 on Beatport's Techno Top 10 and stayed on the list for over a month. Although born in Stockholm, Christian spent most of his childhood years in Frankfurt, Germany, which no doubt played an unexpected role in determining his musical tastes. After spending time in the US studying, Christian moved to Sao Paulo, Brazil and played at the best clubs in the city and surrounding regions. He still loves to play there today, and continues to have a very large following in the city. In 1997 he started his own label, Tronic, and since then it has dominated the charts with releases from Christian himself and the likes of Chus & Ceballos, ANNA, Paco Osuna, Loco & Jam, Kaiserdisco, Enrico Sangiuliano, Nick Curly and more. The label is now the #2 top selling techno label in the world, according to Beatport, and recently it celebrated its 200th release. Tronic also has a weekly show which is now syndicated to over 100 stations worldwide, and their 200th show was celebrated with special guest Adam Beyer. Tronic is bringing artists to venues and festivals across the world—with dates throughout Europe, including ADE and Ultra Resistance in Ibiza. Tronic has always been an album focused label, and Christian's new collaboration project is set for release in October. He has spent the last nine months traveling around the world to produce tracks with a selection of standout artists in their studios. We cannot wait for the result! ------------------ Tracklist: 1.
