This week Sean and Steven dive into the world of underground comics and the people who create them. First, they talk about the new movie about Portland artist John Callahan and his recovery from a major car accident as well as alcoholism in Don't Worry He Won't Get Far on Foot from writer/director Gus Van Sant, starring Joaquin Phoenix and Jonah Hill. Then they talk about two underground comic artists and the movies that dissect them: one, a sex-obsessed counterculture figure and his family in the documentary Crumb about Robert Crumb, and the other, a Cleveland curmudgeon who writes about his daily, banal Sisyphean tasks in American Splendor about Harvey Pekar.
