RoShawn and I are back to discuss one of the creepiest episodes of WestWorld yet. Owen wanted to put something cheerful on after watching this episode because it was so "spooky" as he put it. Not quite the word I would use, but still. I'm really into this season, even though there have been a few things here and there that I'm not totally sold on yet. I'm willing to bide my time and hope that they wind up making sense in the end, and if they don't...well, hopefully I will have forgotten about them already. This episode deals with the whole secret project that William was working on, which I shall dub Project Godhood. He's trying to get James Delos to make the switch from human being to robot, and it seems initially like he's doing a great job. The James we see is a fit-seeming man with energy and sharpness just like when he was alive. But it doesn't take long for the cracks to start showing, and 20 years later they seem no closer to an answer. Meanwhile, turns out that Elsie is still alive! And she's able to move on and accept that Bernard is a host with a practicality that I have to admire. I'm super curious about this sub-plot though, and I want to know how Clementine knew where Elsie was being kept, etc. Lots of questions, still! Thanks for listening, and see you soon with episode 5!
Season two of Westworld was rich with religious symbolism and commentary. Scholar of religion Andrew Aghapour joins us to discuss Dolores and Bernard as prophets (5:29), free will and choice (12:03), James Delos and resurrection (18:33), Akecheta and the Ghost Nation (27:39), the concept of multiple worlds (33:34), and looking forward to season three (41:19).
Où James Delos vit un jour sans fin.
This week on Analysis, Jordan sighs heavily through the entire back half of the episode, haunted by all the mysteries of Westworld. We discuss S2E4, The Riddle of the Sphinx, and the Sisyphean hellscape that is the digital afterlife of James Delos. Who’s in the red marble? What is William’s daughter’s objective? How do the...

After a mind blowing episode, Laura is once again joined by Mack and Garry to work out WHAT TIMELINE EVEN IS IT NOW?! WE'RE SO CONFUSED! With no Team Dolores or Team Maeve to root for, Westworld started answering some of the big outstanding questions whilst lobbing a few new ones into the mix. This episode we found ourselves spending some valuable time with the Man in Black, the 149th James Delos, Bernard and Elsie. You can find us on Twitter:@wayoutwestworld@laurahotch@thegmcconnachie@macknicholls See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.
We ask the really important questions in this episode, like: “Why would set a room on fire instead of just turning a Host off?” “Why would you order a Drone to break their own neck instead of just turning them off?” “What’s James Delos thinking about when he [CENSORED]?” “Do the Hosts have {CENSORED]?” All […]
"An enigmatic figure becomes the center of Delos' secret project; The Man in Black and Lawrence follow the path to Las Mudas, but run into trouble."An episode about resurrection, self discovery and family.John and Christian discuss the hidden labs of Delos. The truth of James Delos and his failed imortality. William's biggest regrets and his daughter Emily. Plus the return of Elsie and her revelation in regards to Bernard's existence.Oh and probably our biggest theories yet. #WhosintheballPlease subscribe, share and review.#WatchWorld See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.

Westworld Season 2 just keeps getting darker with Episode 4: "Riddle of the Sphinx." Recorded just minutes after the episode aired, this Instacast quickly outlines what we learned and the big new questions everyone is asking. If you guessed Delos is trying to create eternal life, you're right. But did the project succeed? At least we now know what happened to James Delos. Elsie's back, and Bernard's killed again. Or has he? Hard to tell with that wacky memory. And we finally can agree on who Grace from The Raj really is. But how will she fit into the fate of the parks? In this episode, Mr. Daniel Babcock and I consider Westworld's Season 2 Episode 4, "The Riddle of the Sphinx." In it we consider (1) The Luciferian role of James Delos, (2) The growing character of The Man in Black, and (3) the way by which a God-like figure dissipates/embodies himself through his conscious creations. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/alexander-schmid9/message Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/alexander-schmid9/support
