"I did see you, Teddy. These past few days, I've seen you so clearly. And I've seen you're not gonna make it." Dolores tells Teddy before making a few... alterations on our good ole boy. Continue on through the Riddikulus journey into Season 2 of Westworld! This week we tackle Part 2 of Season 2 which will encompass Episodes 5-7. We dive deeper into Shogun World where Maeve learns a newfound ability, we find out more about William's (The Man In Black) mysterious daughter Emily, and Dolores' father holds the key to everything. Bernard takes a trip inside The Cradle and finds someone he wasn't expecting.... Don't miss it as we hit our mid-way point through this brain teaser of a 2nd Season! As Charlotte Hale tells Ashley Stubbs, "The project is a turning point for the human species, Stubbs."
The usual suspects, Darion, Tariq and Amanda express their roller coaster ride of emotions for this episode. Everything from: the opening scene with Clemintine and Hanaryo - Armistice's doppelganger from Shogun World making a shish kebab out of Musashi was bad A$$, to Delores knowing more about Serac and his brother than anyone! As mentioned in the Facebook group, in order to enjoy this season, you have to take the flies out of the ointment by ignoring the inconsistencies for now. And why they never explain why Maeve can't control Delores!
2 Weeks Ago in Sweetwater Earlier we wondered if Dolores and Wyatt would get equal time running the show. Apparently not. Wyatt’s in control. 2 Weeks Ago in Shogun World […] The post Westworld Episode 205 – Flashback Podcast with Caroline and Paul! appeared first on Pod Clubhouse.
Why would you go to Shogun World? It seems like a sword is a sword even in the hands of a robot trained not to actually kill humans. Is it a Nerf sword? How do you survive a ninja attack? I just don’t get it. www.LIWstudios.com Youtube.com/LoiteringInWonderland loiteringinwonderland@gmail.com Patreon.com/LoiteringInWonderlandStudios We'd like to thank our Patreon hero: The Indy Sportscar Podcast

Please check out our sponsor for this episode, Day 11 Podcast! You can find them at www.day11podcast.com or on whatever podcatcher you use. They're going to be starting coverage of 13 Reasons Why soon, as well as House Of Card in honor of election season! Before everyone starts emailing me with explanations, I did look up the meaning of this title once it was time to edit the episode. Akane is the madame's name, but also mean "red", and no Mai is "of dance", so it essentially means "Red Dance Of Akane" which seems quite appropriate. I've also seen some translations of it that include a meaning about a lost child, but those seem to be American translations that have been debunked by native Japanese speakers, so I'm going to ignore those. This episode was a lot of fun and very strange and surreal at times. I'm really hoping that they manage to come up with a convincing explanation of Maeve's sudden newfound abilities, because that was the main thing I took issue with. I'm also a little confused about the nature of the glitches that interfere with language, and I'm hoping we find out why things are going so differently with non-English-speaking hosts. But overall I enjoyed getting to see Shogun World and the parallels to storylines and characters in WestWorld. Then there's the whole thing with Dolores and Teddy, which I think most of us probably saw coming. I wish I cared about Teddy more, but the fact is that I only really care about him in relation to other characters, and not as much for his own sake. I'm very curious what Dolores is going to do to him, and I am not looking forward to seeing him start to break. Thanks so much for listening, everyone, and we will see you soon with a new episode!
Picking up where we left off, the gang and I continue to speculate the reason for the shows inconsistencies or unexplained plots. William aka Man in Black getting shot up, digging a hole in his arm without flinching, strongly suggests he’s a host! Jeffrey Wright one of the best actors around. But Bernard seems too easy to be controlled. Will we see Bernard in control more in season 3? Is Arnold’s story complete? Is Bernard finishing his story? Bernard and Deloris linked relationship Charlottes secret weapon in Clementine. Tessa Thompson acting was incredible when she became Deloris. Any chance Elsie can come back?. Stubbs a Host of surprises! :D So where was that scanner? Nils Allen "Booboo" Stewart Jr. – played the young son in Ghost Nation, Ellie Collins worked with him when they were 18 yrs old. Shogun World and Ghost Nation was such a tease!!
Something About Violent Delights and Ends This week on the podcast Johnny and Brian take in the “Natural” Splendor of Westworld season 2 and share their thoughts on the visits to the Raj, Shogun World and more! Westworld (2018) Season 2 Summary The second season follows in the aftermath of Dolores’ uprising, as she recruits a number of hosts to fight off arriving Delos security forces, while looking for the key to the Valley Beyond, believed by the Ghost Nation to be a door to the next world. Maeve continues to search for her daughter, learning that there are other parks like Westworld. William finds that Ford has left him clues to find “the door”, a new game for him to play, during which he encounters his estranged daughter Emily, who blames him for her mother’s death. Delusional, William kills Emily, thinking she is a host. Dolores, with Bernard’s help, finds the Forge, where memories from all the guests to the park have been kept. Bernard helps a number of hosts transfer their programming to a digital space. Dolores wants to wipe out the guests’ records, and seeks a means to kill them in the real world. With more Delos...

Support the show (https://www.patreon.com/loudmurmurs)

The Joy of Geek Podcast, Episode 65: Solo: A Star Wars Story Review and Westworld Season 2 Update On this episode of The Joy of Geek Podcast, we (Rich and Kevin) review the new film Solo: A Star Wars Story, starring Alden Ehrenreich as a young Han Solo, and directed by Ron Howard. The film went through a famously troubled development cycle, including a change in director, last-minute acting lessons and drastic reshoots on its journey to the screen, but does the final product deliver on the promise of a fun, swashbuckling Star Wars adventure? In our Spoilercast and Review, we look at Solo from all angles - from the performances by Ehrenreich, Donald Glover, Emilia Clarke, and Woody Harrelson, to the quality of the script, to the visual effects, original score, surprise cameos and easter eggs and beyond - and debate its overall success, both as a Han Solo origin story, and as a standalone film. We also discuss the film's abyssmal performance at the box office and offer some theories on why audiences aren't showing up. But first, we make a brief stop at Westworld (and The Raj, and Shogun World) to check-in on the show's second season and decide whether or not the magic of season one is back. Hint: it is. We also discuss what we've been reading and watching lately, including: Deadpool 2, American Gods (and Neil Gaiman's work in general), Howard's End, XO Manowar and more. And in news, we discuss Lucifer's cancellation and search for a new home, and celebrate The Expanse's revival at Amazon. So join us, as we learn where Han Solo got his name, how he met Chewbacca, and what really happened at that legendary card game...and try hard not to be disappointed. This...is The Joy of Geek!

"Akane No Mai" and "Phase Space" Wait…wasn't Solo supposed to be this week? Well plans change and probably for the better. Having Clay and Corey try and do 3 Episodes of Westworld next week would have been nuts. So they have switched their review of Solo to next week. Besides, from the box office reports, it looks like none of you went to see it anyways. Tisk. Tisk. Now, on to more important things! We got to see Shogunworld this week and it DID NOT DISAPPOINT! Samurai, ninjas, battles, sword play. Come on…what else do we really need. We hope that some of the new characters introduced here will show back up later. Oh yeah, this deserves its own paragraph. BERNARD IS A BAMF. Remember to click the follow button wherever you listen and turn on notifications. And most of all, if you like what you hear, tag us and share us on social media.

Shogun World extends a welcome to all.
In this podcast episode, Amanda will cover: Deloris & Bernard's role reversal, comparing it to William & James Delos. Teddy may end up becoming Deloris's Frankenstein, and how weird is it that Teddy remembers who he was and what Deloris did to him, but is helpless to do anything about it! Did the writers make a mistake by ending the inspired, Shogun world so soon? Wouldn't it be a great idea to do a spin-off of the Shogun World later down the line! But first the writers need to clean up their portrayal of Native Americans with the new Ghost Nation narrative? Bet money William's right his daughter is a host! Maeve finally finds her daughter! But will she accept Maeve as her mother? And at last, we see again! So does this finally prove that Ford and Arnold's consciousness was uploaded into the park?
In this episode Tom and Tairell discuss their E3 predictions and opinions. Covering everything from Sony to Nintendo they give a run down on what to expect. Other topics covered include Battlefield V, Drake vs Pusha T, the new A$AP Rocky album, Westworld and the new A Star Wars Story announcements. Plus what they think about the Brockhampton situation at the moment. The E3 streaming schedule is also discussed.

Two lines from this week’s Westworld episode, Akane no Mai sum up the episode far more than we ever could: “Welcome to Shogun World.” “SHIT! On this all-new episode of Duncan and Bo Go to Westworld, we give the finger to Westworld in favor of a detour into Shogunworld, which, as it happens, is totally rockin’. Also, Duncan updates us on his Ray Donovan binge, the Netflix anime Aggretsuko, and watching the best and worst of Friday the 13th with neophytes. Meanwhile, Bo caught up with the Netflix zombie flick Cargo, and has less than kind things to say about the Helen Mirren haunted house film, Winchester. Then, it’s off to Westworld where Dolores gets dark, Teddy gets more #TooWoke, Maeve knows kung-fu and Akane dances to Wu-tang. Enter the DunBoCo, it’s time to get samurai!!! Player Piano | A weekly conversation decoding HBO's Westworld
Player Piano is a weekly conversation recapping HBO's Westworld. Hosts Dan and Trevor do their best to decode the plot, philosophy and filmcraft of the sci-fi epic. This week Dan and Trevor decipher the exotic tapestry that was the show's first foray into Shogun World. They weigh in on Dolores and Teddy's on-again/off-again relationship, ask if self-plagiarism is really a thing, and dissect the questionable in-world logic of Maeve's newfound Jedi powers. Email us at: playerpianopodcast@gmail.com This week's cocktail was not really a cocktail at all. It was just warm sake.
Christopher Cross and Dylan Schwan accidentally save the world again despite being egotistical and extremely self-centered as they review Deadpool 2. Well, not as egotistical as Wade Wilson, but who can be? We talk about the sequel’s many cameos, how David Leitch fared directing the merc with a mouth, and why Ryan Reynolds is so perfect for the role. This week’s Westworld introduced us to Shogunworld so there’s plenty of discussion on that, as well as two new horror movies that Chris saw: The Endless and Cargo. Cargo is available on Netflix while The Endless you can find playing a limited run in theaters. There’s also plenty of discussion on the Cannes awards as well as the controversy surrounding Lando Calrissian. Next week, we will be back with a review of Solo: A Star Wars Story. You can find Film Fallout every week on iTunes, Soundcloud, Stitcher, Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram, as well as anything else that pulls an RSS Feed. Feel free to share the podcast with your friends if you enjoy it, and rate and subscribe on iTunes to help spread the word as much as possible!
