Are you starting something new but feeling stuck in old patterns? The problem isn't the opportunity ahead—it's the unfinished business you're carrying with you. Most people try to move forward while dragging the weight of unclosed chapters, unprocessed emotions, and misaligned relationships. They wonder why new relationships feel like old ones, why career changes don't bring fulfillment, or why success still feels empty. The truth? Transformation isn't complete until you properly close what was.In this raw and deeply personal monthly reflection, Raj shares his journey of returning to Austin after five years of self-discovery, moving in with his partner, and completely reimagining his company Liber8. He reveals the often-overlooked art of completion—and why mastering it is the key to creating alignment in everything you do.In this episode, you'll discover:Why friction in your life is actually a gift showing you what's misalignedThe cancer survivor who experienced remission only after addressing her emotional trauma (and why the symptom is never the root cause)How to track "dis-ease" in your body as a map to know exactly where you are in lifeWhy you can't birth something new without letting old versions of yourself die firstThe question you're afraid to answer—and how it's keeping you stuckWhat happens to your body when you finally release emotional debt through being witnessedWhy the science doesn't heal you (but creating safety for your soul does)How monthly reflection became Raj's most powerful tool for closure and transformationThe truth is simple but profound: You are enough. You don't need to do more—you need to be held, witnessed, and seen as you release what you've been carrying. This isn't just another self-help conversation. It's an invitation to give yourself permission to complete, to grieve, to let go—and finally step into full alignment.Connect with Raj:Newsletter – Sign up here: https://www.rajjana.com/staygrounded/Website: http://www.rajjana.com/Instagram: @raj_janaiTunes: https://podcasts.apple.com/rs/podcast/stay-grounded-with-raj-jana/id1318038490Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/show/22Hrw6VWfnUSI45lw8LJBPYouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@raj_janaLegal Disclaimer: The information and opinions discussed in this podcast are for educational and entertainment purposes only. About Rajender PrasadRajender Prasad is the founder and managing director of Money Maestro, a UAE-based mortgage advisory firm transforming how people approach home finance. With over 25 years in banking and finance, including two decades in the UAE, Raj built his career with leading institutions such as ABN AMRO, Standard Chartered, Mashreq, and NBAD before launching his own venture in 2020.Frustrated by the limitations of traditional banking and driven by a desire to prioritize clients' interests over products, Raj created Money Maestro to simplify the mortgage journey with clarity, transparency, and education at its core. His firm has since achieved a 100% client satisfaction rate, an impressive milestone in the financial services sector.About this EpisodeIn this insightful conversation, Raj shares his journey from corporate banking to entrepreneurship, revealing how his two decades in the industry shaped his vision for a more transparent and client-first approach to mortgage advisory. He reflects on the digital transformation reshaping the UAE's financial landscape—where 70% of business now happens online—and how technology has made property investment more accessible than ever, even for non-residents.Raj explains why he founded Money Maestro: to offer clients comparative access to all major banks rather than being limited to one institution's products. By acting as a financial partner instead of a salesperson, his team empowers buyers to make informed choices—understanding every rate, term, and hidden cost before signing.Throughout the episode, Raj reframes mortgages as a financial planning tool, not just a loan—a way to build long-term equity and financial stability instead of simply paying rent. He breaks down common misconceptions, from who qualifies for a mortgage to why property ownership in the UAE isn't just for the wealthy or citizens.Quotes3:18 - Things are moving in different levels now. Focusing on India between the early nineteenth century and the First World War, Colonial Terror explores the centrality of the torture of Indian bodies to the law-preserving violence of colonial rule and some of the ways in which extraordinary violence was embedded in the ordinary operation of colonial states. Although enacted largely by Indians on Indian bodies, particularly by subaltern members of the police, the book argues that torture was facilitated, systematized, and ultimately sanctioned by first the East India Company and then the Raj because it benefitted the colonial regime, since rendering the police a source of terror played a key role in the construction and maitenance of state sovereignty.Drawing upon the work of both Giorgio Agamben and Michel Foucault, Colonial Terror contends, furthermore, that it is only possible to understand the terrorizing nature of the colonial police in India by viewing colonial India as a 'regime of exception' in which two different forms of exceptionality were in operation - one wrought through the exclusion of particular groups or segments of the Indian population from the law and the other by petty sovereigns in their enactment of illegal violence in the operation of the law. It was in such fertile ground, in which colonial subjects were both included within the domain of colonial law while also being abandoned by it, that torture was able to flourish. You've built the career. Earned the title. Checked all the boxes. So why does success feel like you're wearing someone else's skin?If you've ever felt the weight of a job title that no longer fits, or sensed a growing gap between who you are and what you do, this episode is your permission slip to explore what's underneath. Raj opens up about his own identity crisis as a CEO—and the vision quest that helped him separate the labels others gave him from the truth of who he really is.In this episode, you'll discover:• Why the identities we didn't choose often create the most suffering in our lives• What happens when you write down every label you've ever carried (and why this exercise changes everything)• How to distinguish between the roles you were given and the ones you actually chose• Why "I am" without any label attached might be more powerful than you think• The difference between sourcing power from titles vs. sourcing it from soul• How letting go of "CEO" opened up a more authentic way to lead • Why expanding beyond one audience (cancer patients) actually aligned him with his true mission• What humility and vulnerability have to do with stepping into your real identityHere's the truth: You are so much more than your resume, your role, or what people call you.The labels you carry either liberate you or trap you—and most of us don't realize we have a choice. Raj Goyle is running for Comptroller of New York state, and he wants your support. He's got mine because I think Raj is what America is all about. A first-generation Indian-American, Duke undergrad and Harvard Law grad, Raj was the co-founder of Bodhala, a legal spend analytics and management platform which he and team sold to Onit. As the leader of Phone Free New York, Raj led a bi-partisan effort to get phones out of the classroom across New York state. And now he wants to take his immense talent and experience to Albany for the most important position (Comptroller!) you've never thought about. As you'll hear, there's plenty that Raj and I disagree about. But he's the kind of person we need more of in government: a smart, driven leader who wants to make government work for citizens. Among lots of other things, Raj and I discuss: -Zohran Mamdani, the NYC mayoral candidate whom Raj supports and I DO NOT -What a comptroller does -Money, happiness, and public service -What it was like for his parents–both doctors–to emigrate to the U.S. -How Jimmy Carter helped shaped his belief in ethical capitalism and an accountable government AI's impact on the economy and what we can do about it ✍️Please rate my podcast (https://ratethispodcast.com/paulopod) ✍️

Send us a textRaj Khedun is the inventor of the 3:3 insomnia hack.  I asked what his inspiration was to follow this path.  He tells the story of when he was three years old.  It was in a library.  Two books he picked guided him more than any other books. One book was about dinosaurs.  He explains about how he was fascinated with evolving.  The other about planets.  He was fascinated by the colours, and the fact that Mars is empty, while next to it earth is full of life.School bored him, but fitness and sports kept him interested.  Raj said everything was handed to him as a young man.  He describes himself as arrogant.  Until his mother took him to India.  His arrogance took a slap.  It was when he met an avatar.  He explains it's a power incarnated into a human.  He goes on to share that this avatar said he brought him to India and knew everything about him.  His message to Raj is "you need to be humble, you need to listen to the voice within."  A smashing of his ego put him in his place and he had to face that. From 20 to 30 he went into "monk mode".  He thought about what one thing most people are missing is breath.  Breath is not air or oxygen, it is more;  light, electricity and magnetism.   Listen to find out more about how your breath can help you...You can reach Raj at https://33insomniahack.com/  BE A GUEST/FIND A GUEST Start for Free!PODMATCH is innovative, provides easy communication and dashboard scheduling! Two years after our last conversation, Raj Koneru, CEO and Founder of Kore.ai, returns to discuss how the world of AI has changed and how much of it still needs to. When we first spoke, conversational AI was promising. Now it is powering over a billion interactions every day for companies like LG, Coca-Cola, and Blue Cross Blue Shield. Yet Raj argues that the next real breakthrough will not come from novelty, but from accessibility. In this episode, Raj explains why the future of AI depends on open collaboration rather than vendor lock-in. Kore.ai's partnerships with Microsoft, AWS, and G42's Inception in the UAE reflect a commitment to interoperability and shared innovation. He offers a rare look into what happens “above the line,” where enterprises actually design and deploy AI agents, compared to the massive “below the line” investments driving the hardware, cloud, and model layers of AI. For Raj, platforms like Kore.ai act as the bridge, translating technical potential into business outcomes. We also explore what true democratization of AI looks like in practice. Raj believes no-code platforms are key to giving both large and small businesses the power to build their own agents without deep technical skills. He discusses the challenges of scaling responsibly, managing latency, ensuring governance, and keeping AI secure and transparent. From the shift toward on-device AI in smartphones to the lessons learned from running one of the world's largest enterprise AI platforms, his perspective blends realism with optimism. This conversation is a reminder that progress in AI will not be defined by who owns the biggest model but by who makes the technology usable, ethical, and open to everyone. Raj's message is simple but powerful: read widely, question everything, and collaborate boldly.

He has also remixed tracks for disco heroes like Roxy Music, Banda Black Rio, Terry Callier, Freddie Mercury, Beck, Shirley Bassey, Bryan Ferry and Grace Jones amongst others. You can find his remixes and original material on labels like Bearfunk, DFA, Eskimo, Under the Shade, Noid, and his own Mangled label. Raj is a busy man with tons of stuff coming out, so we are very happy he made time for this great set. At this writing Raj was locked in a house filled with seven year olds and flying spaghetti, we hope he survives! Welcome to the What's Next! Podcast with Tiffani Bova.     This week, I'm reflecting on a conversation I had a while back with the delightful and purpose-driven Raj Sisodia. Raj is the FW Olin Distinguished Professor of Global Business and Whole Foods Market Research Scholar in Conscious Capitalism at Babson College, and Co-Founder and Co-Chairman of Conscious Capitalism Inc. He has a Ph. D. in Marketing from Columbia University and has published eleven books. He was named one of “Ten Outstanding Trailblazers of 2010” by Good Business International, and one of the “Top 100 Thought Leaders in Trustworthy Business Behavior” by Trust Across America for 2010 and 2011. He is on the Board of Directors at The Container Store and a trustee of Conscious Capitalism Inc.    THIS EPISODE IS PERFECT FOR…people searching for their personal purpose in the work they do each day.   TODAY'S MAIN MESSAGE…in this episode, Raj uncovers the unmet need for conscious capitalism in contemporary business. We discuss ethics in business and marketing, purpose, value, and true happiness. This is not something mutually exclusive from business and capitalism, but the way Raj explains it, something that is vitally a part of the business ecosystem and indispensable to building a worthwhile and successful brand.   WHAT I LOVE MOST…Raj's journey from marketing to uncovering a true passion that seeks to make business more conscientious, impactful and valuable to society.   Running time: 30:08   Subscribe on iTunes    Find Tiffani Online: LinkedIn Facebook X   Find Raj Online: LinkedIn Website   Raj's Books: The Healing Organization Conscious Capitalism Field Guide Firms of Endearment Everybody Matters

Thought viceroys and colonial administrators were a thing of the past? Tony Blair is being lined up to run the “Board of Peace” for a reconstruction authority for post-conflict Gaza and observers are agog. Historian and Bunker regular Alex von Tunzelmann takes us on a tour of the inglorious history of viceregal rule. Where did the role come from? Was it ever a particularly efficient way to run a country you probably shouldn't have been in anyway? And what cautionary tales should Blair learn from cases as diverse as the Raj, post-Saddam Iraq and Paddy Ashdown's control of Bosnia?  • Buy Indian Summer: The Secret History of the End of an Empire by Alex von Tunzelmann through our affiliate bookshop and you'll help fund The Bunker by earning us a small commission for every sale. Bookshop.org's fees help support independent bookshops too. • Support us on Patreon for early episodes and more. • Head to nakedwines.co.uk/thebunker to get 6 top-rated wines from our sponsor Naked Wines for £39.99, delivery included. • We are sponsored by Indeed.
