Today I'm talking to Karol Collymore, the senior director of the Inclusive Community Portfolio at Nike.Karol is working her dream job, but her journey to get here was anything but straightforward. After majoring in political science and working on a campaign, Karol started her career in politics where she began working in nonprofits and fundraising. Then, an unsuccessful bid for public office left Karol wondering exactly what to do next. After some work on her vision board, Karol began crafting her skills to be ready when the right job opened up. Now at Nike, Karol draws from her experiences in philanthropy and government to help non-dominant communities succeed in ways specific to each community's needs and goals.
