ProZD + Pals Episode 41: Micah Solusod and Apphia Yu by ProZD
OK, so what do you do when you have some of your favorite people to interview. In this case, Micah Solusod and Ayu Sakata. Only, you have interviewed them. Several times. In fact, last time they decided to interview you, instead. So now what do you do?Apparently, the answer is you play a tabletop RPG with them! So that's what we did.The name of the game is Honey Heist, made by Grant Howitt. It is a game where you are bear. You do crimes. We, as bears, did crimes. So many crimes. Micah was new to this, but you can't tell. You can find all of Grant's wonderful games at https://gshowitt.itch.io/.
OK... Hmm... well, uh, this a weird one? Back in time, when Hamacon 8 was happening, we sat down to interview Micah Solusod and Ayu Sakata. Only, they decided since we have interviewed them a few times, they turned the table to interview us. Us mostly being John and Charlie. So, enjoy this one! Micah and Ayu are both super accomplished folks. They have an amazing webcomic called the Ties That Bind, they create games over at sakevisual. Oh, and they voice all your favorite characters, too! Too bad they decided to ask us the questions, huh?

Waaaaaaaaaay back in the earlier days of the OSMcast!, we met a young man named Micah Solusod. Turned out he was the English Voice Over Artist for the role of Soul in Soul Eater. Since then, the man has gone to do a whole lot more of that Voice Over Stuff! Guy's been in Wolf Children, Kamisama Kiss, and just recently was one of the main guys in the English adaption of Ping Pong: the Animation! So we decided it was time to get back in touch with the kid, and see what was going down lately. This happened at MTAC 15 to Life this year, in a press conference style sort of the affair along with the Chainsaw Buffet and some other wonderful folks. Please, have a listen.
And when you see Micah at conventions, make sure you ask him for that Fresh Tokyo Smile. He’ll appreciate it! In a world where ALIENS live on EARTH and listen to podcasts that no HUMANS know about… That’s right in our latest episode of the OSMcast we are chatting about Studio Pierrot’s and David Production’s anime adaption of Yoshihiro Togashi’s Level E. We are joined by our fellows the Chainsaw Buffet as well as the man, the myth, the LEGEND (in our own minds) Micah Solusod. Who also happens to be the voice actor for the up and coming baseball player Yukitaka Tsutsui, and much like character is known for his Fresh Tokyo Smile. OSMnotes BUY IT. STREAM IT. STREAM IT SOME MORE. It’s Good Stuff™. One might even say… OSMstuff. I mean, OSMstuff™. And once again, much thanks for Micah for coming on and chatting with us this year. You should immediately go read his webcomic Ties That Bind_ right now_. It’s also OSMstuff®©£¥¶™. Two updates on the correct updating schedule MY word what have we gotten ourselves into?! Now people will start to expect things from us oh man what have we done… Thankfully, Otakon is coming up and we going again this year! This should provide plenty of chances for recording goodness, if the last time is any indication. So if you see, well hear, us, say hi!

Because a house certainly cannot have four, or six leaves. That just wouldn't do. What’s this?! A podcast releasing on schedule?! Why yes… yes it is! The OSMcast_!_ once again returns faithfully to your audio-listening side as we discuss Natsume Ono’s House of Five Leaves, with the manga being released by Viz Media and the anime being streamed online by FUNimation. Joining us for this not so action packed episode is the voice actor extraordinaire that is Micah Solusod, and Charlie from PodcastSuperFriends™ the Chainsaw Buffet podcast. It’s 41+ minutes of podcast fun! OSMnotes House of Five Leaves is a thing that should be read! Or watched! So we expect that you all will be getting to that immediately. If you are already a smart, lovely, and amazing person that already knew about the wonders of House of Five Leaves, then would you like to try an awesome visual novel-styled game that isn’t porn? Perhaps a murder mystery? Might we suggest you take a look over at sakevisual? While you folks are working on that, we’ll be heading out to super hot and also steamy Baltimore, Maryland this weekend for an exciting adventure at Otakon. It will be exciting! And adventrous! And at some point I’m sure we’ll be telling you all about it. In podcast form.
Micah Solusod is a voice acting newbie in the world of anime. He first appeared in 2009 as the younger Gilgamesh in “The Tower of Druaga” and made his debut role as Malek Werner in “Blassreiter” later that year. Since then, Micah has been honored to provide voices for a number of characters in other […]
In the pre-interview podcast, Charlie, Dylan, and John discuss USA network's summer season (as well as a brief nod to TNT's "Franklin and Bash"). Then, in the second half of their Hamacon interviews, Charlie, Jen, John, and Liz talk to Micah Solusod ("Soul" from Soul Eater, "Tsutomu" from Birdy the Mighty: Decode) about his career, his hobbies, and some of his favorite TV shows, including White Collar and Dr. Who. Also, John reveals a dark secret from his short-lived acting career.
Micah Solusod Back in June at HamaCon here in Huntsville, AL we got the chance to talk to one of Funimation’s freshest talents, Micah Solusod! He’s probably best known for his work as Soul Eater Evans in Soul Eater. However he has already been in several roles, including stuff from Birdy the Mighty Decode, Big Windup!, and Corpse Princess. He recently has reopened his website which you should totally check out. Protip: When conducting podcast interviews, do not record them right beside air conditioning units. This is very important!
