For our thirteenth edition of the Equilibrisme Podcast Series, we proudly present you : Matt & Mark Thibideau (Live). Long-time contributors to the Canadian electronic music scene, Matt and Mark Thibideau have performed under a few different monikers (Repair, Altitude, Mark & Matt Thibideau) in the last 15 years. As a duo, or on their own, they’ve played some of the most influential clubs and festivals in the world, doing so without compromising their talent or commitment to producing artful music. They have joined forces to incorporate elements of both of their respective outputs fusing two separate bodies of work in one cohesive live performance. As much dance floor-ready as it is synapse stimulating, it’s music that resists easy classification. The fraternal twins perform hypnotic dub techno, slow-burning deep house to energetic machine-tech curiosities on hardware synthesizers and drum machines. Their performances both together and separate have included Mutek Buenos Aries, 02, 03, 2009, and 2012, 2014, Picnic Electronique, 2017 / Montreal, Studio 672/ Cologne, Observatori Festival / Spain, Ministerium / Lisbon, Corvin Club Budapest, Tresor, Heidegluhen, The Watergate & CDV / Berlin, The Bunker / NYC, Guesthouse & Eden / Bucharest and countless events in Toronto. Matt and Mark have record releases with a variety of labels including 7th City, Cynosure, Waehlscheibe, Assemble music, Joule Imprint, Helena, Vade Mecum, Irenic, Archipel, Klangsheiben, Berg Audio & Sushitech and Equilibrisme. In 2011 the pair launched the label Obsolete Components — a small label featuring artists who share their passions for analog synthesizers and recording equipment. The Thibideau’s have also been featured in the documentary “I Dream of Wires” talking about their love for modular synthesizers. We are very happy and honoured that our good friends and favorite brothers joined us once more for our podcast series - this time both together! This live set was recorded at their home studio in 2021 and includes several unreleased tracks. Enjoy this beautiful ride!

Original equipment manufacturers and contract manufacturers that use electronic components face a big challenge.  How do you handle that one component that is now obsolete, when you need it for a new order you just received? Ed discusses how electronic component manufacturers could better serve their end customers by helping them navigate obsolescence and end-of-life issues.

For our tenth edition of the Equilibrisme Podcast Series, we proudly present you : Supply/Demand. Greater Toronto Area natives and Producer/DJs Daniel Torrance and Eric Miles make up the Toronto, Canada based Techno DJ and Production duo Supply/Demand. Forged from a long-standing friendship while studying music production and recording, SD share a mutual passion for deep, synth-driven music and operate on the principle that SOUL should be the forefront of everything they do. Between the two - Daniel and Eric draw inspiration from the Techno and house of Detroit, to the deep Dub Techno stylings of Basic Channel/ Maurizio, on through to the sounds of 90’s classic and underground Hip Hop...and so much in between. The pair have been DJing individually, on-and-off since the mid-late 90’s and have come up around some of the most talented and pioneering artists in their respective cities while growing up. Over the past several years, Daniel and Eric have joined forces as a DJ duo, and more recently, as a production unit, under the Supply/Demand moniker. As of late, Supply/Demand have put forth some very well crafted deep/dub/tech/house mixes as part of their “Textiles” mix series, which surely well-represent their aesthetic. They have also garnered past and recent releases with labels such as Obsolete Components (run by Mark & Matt Thibideau) and MixCult Records (Russia). Most recently, they appear alongside some well-respected artists on the new vinyl-only label What Robot Says Records. Join SD as they take you on their journey into the depths...
