In this episode of Friday Field Notes, Ryan Michler reflects on the public rise and fall of actor Shia LaBeouf to explore a deeper issue affecting men everywhere: isolation. While fame and success may amplify a man's strengths and weaknesses, they cannot stabilize him. Ryan argues that the real danger is not failure, but a lack of brotherhood and accountability. Through personal insight and hard-earned experience, he challenges men to build strong systems and surround themselves with brothers who will confront, support, and walk with them - especially when life begins to unravel. If you're eating clean… exercising… and still struggling with blood sugar, cravings, or stubborn belly fat — this episode may change how you see your metabolism. Because your blood sugar isn't just influenced by what you eat. It's influenced by when you see light. In this episode, I break down: How morning light sets your insulin sensitivity for the entire day Why artificial light at night increases cortisol and blood sugar The connection between melatonin and metabolic health Why high morning glucose can be a cortisol issue — not a carb issue How circadian rhythm disruption drives insulin resistance Simple daily shifts that can dramatically improve metabolic health Most people focus on food. But your hormones follow rhythm — and rhythm follows light. If your cortisol is elevated at night and suppressed in the morning, your metabolism feels chaotic. You may feel tired but wired, wake at 3AM, crave sugar, or struggle with weight loss even when your labs look "normal." The good news? Circadian rhythm can be reset. In this episode, I walk you through the practical steps to: ✔ Anchor your morning cortisol properly ✔ Support melatonin production at night ✔ Improve insulin sensitivity naturally ✔ Stabilize blood sugar without extreme dieting Your body isn't broken. It may just be out of rhythm. In this episode of The Spiritual Investor Podcast, I explore the hidden reason money can feel slow and why overthinking may be the very thing blocking your momentum. As we move into a season of forward energy, I unpack the idea of energetic agreement, the difference between operating from Source versus operating from time, and what it truly means to invite money instead of chase it. In this conversation, I share: - Why trying to "do it better" actually slows abundance - How overthinking becomes performative - What money neutrality really looks like in daily life - How to stabilize a higher frequency instead of dipping in and out of flow - Why shortening the bridge between the universal and the 3D world accelerates wealth This episode is about allowing and recognizing that money responds to your state of being more than your strategy. If you're ready to go deeper, I'm hosting my first private in-person event this April in San Luis Obispo. You can find details at thespiritualinvestor.com/live2026. Back pain has many causes and many solutions. Today Brian and Nora talk about the role of the thoracolumbar fascia in coordinating the action of the shoulder girdle, thorax, spine and pelvis and how it influences back pain. Movement, myofascial release and training principles for remodeling fascia are the key topics for today.Moving Conversation Socials Brian's Book on Low Back Pain and Conditions: Back Exercise; Stabilize, Mobilize and Reduce Pain https://a.co/d/8IUb7L6 Email: movingconvos@gmail.com IG: @movingconvos FB: Moving Conversations Brian IG: @fit4lifedc FB: https://www.facebook.com/brianrichey/ Nora IG: nora.s.john.7 FB: https://www.facebook.com/nora.s.john.7
Episode #369 – The Fastest Way to Stabilize Email Results (No Fancy Segmentation Required) If your email results feel inconsistent, you might be trying to use every campaign like it's doing CPR — reviving cold subscribers, persuading on-the-fence people, and rewarding the warm people all in one send. That's exhausting, and it rarely works. Segmentation fixes this by doing one simple thing: it lets you choose the room before you choose the words. Because when you send one email to your entire list, you're speaking to people who are at totally different points in the conversation — and the message either becomes a compromise, or it only lands for a fraction of the room. In this episode, I walk you through the three essential segments that stabilize campaign performance fast: Engaged subscribers (your dependable audience + deliverability protector) Unengaged subscribers (the people you stop emailing by default — and put into a re-engagement/sunset lane instead) Recent buyers (the relationship window you protect so you don't keep selling at someone who just purchased) You'll also get a quick segmentation self-check (so you know when segmentation will actually reduce your workload), plus the common mistakes that make segmentation feel like "extra work" instead of strategy. This week, I had the incredible opportunity to sit down with Dr. Krista Fazio, a Doctor of Physical Therapy based in Portugal to discuss the evolving role of physical therapy, the importance of strength and mobility for longevity and pain reduction, and the rise of female practitioners.Train like an athlete. Move better. Feel stronger. Dr. K is a Doctor of Physical Therapy based in Portugal who represents the modern evolution of her profession. Working with clients across performance, rehabilitation, and longevity, her work focuses on restoring strength, mobility, and resilience so people can return not just to baseline—but to capability. Her company, FitPhysio, Krista provides cutting-edge, science-backed rehab and training programs to clients both online and in-person. Her approach blends the best of physical therapy and strength training to help a wide range of clients... from professional athletes to individuals looking to rebuild strength, and optimize their movement for longevity. Krista's philosophy is simple but powerful: build strength and mobility to protect your joints, reduce pain, and preserve your body for the long run. Whether you're looking to get back to sport, stay pain-free, or simply move better in daily life, Krista delivers the expertise and personalized care to help you get there. What most people interpret as “tightness” is often weakness. The nervous system restricts motion when it senses instability. Build strength in those ranges, and the body unlocks pain-free movement.Krista does not adhere to the insurance-driven physical therapy model that prioritizes heat, ice, and temporary relief- Instead, her approach is active, progressive, and system-wide. Low back pain is rarely just a back issue. Hip instability, poor foot mechanics, rib positioning, weak glutes—everything connects. Treat the body as a system, not a symptom.Dr. Fazio has also embraced online care, demonstrating that effective assessment, coaching, and accountability can be delivered globally. In many cases, remote therapy increases ownership—clients see themselves move, understand their patterns, and take responsibility for progress. Her message is consistent: build strength. Train mobility with control. Strengthen the glutes. Stabilize the core. Progress deliberately. Longevity is not accidental—it is trained. This conversation is about modernizing physical therapy, reclaiming responsibility for your body, and building a structure that holds up under stress—for sport, for life, and for decades to come

Stocks ended with modest gains.
Welcome back to the Monday Morning Brew series! Today we're talking about something that can feel complicated, emotional, and honestly… overwhelming for a lot of people: nutrition. But don't worry, this isn't a diet episode. This isn't a “cut everything out” episode. This is a "kindness" episode.Because February is all about intentional movement, consistency, and showing up for yourself. And part of showing up is fueling your body in a way that supports your energy, your mood, and your confidence without stress, guilt, or perfection. So today, we're breaking down simple, realistic nutrition habits that you can start this month… and actually keep. Let's get into it.SEGMENT 1: WHY NUTRITION FEELS HARDLet's be honest, nutrition is one of the most confusing parts of health. There's so much noise out there:“Eat this, not that.”“Cut carbs.”“Only eat clean.”“Try this new trend.”It's exhausting. And for a lot of people, food is emotional. It's comfort. It's culture. It's connection. It's coping. So when someone says “just eat better,” it's not helpful. What is helpful is focusing on small, doable habits that support your body without taking over your life. That's what we're doing today.SEGMENT 2: HABIT #1 HYDRATION MADE EASYLet's start with the simplest habit: hydration. Most people walk around dehydrated and don't even realize it and dehydration affects:Energy, Mood, Digestion, Cravings, Headaches, Motivation. So here's your February hydration habit:Drink one extra bottle or glass of water each day.... that's it! Not a gallon. Not a strict schedule.Just one extra. If you want to make it even easier:Keep a bottle near youAdd lemon or fruitDrink a glass before your morning coffeePair water with a daily habit (like brushing your teeth)Small hydration wins add up fast.SEGMENT 3: HABIT #2 ADD, DON'T RESTRICTHere's a mindset shift that changes everything: Instead of focusing on what to cut out… focus on what to add in.Restriction creates stress. Addition creates balance. Here are simple “add‑ins” for February:Add a serving of fruit to breakfastAdd a vegetable to one meal a dayAdd a source of protein to your snacksAdd a handful of nuts or seedsAdd a fiber‑rich food like berries, oats, or beansWhen you add nourishing foods, your body naturally feels better and you don't feel deprived. This approach is gentle, sustainable, and perfect for listeners who struggle with all‑or‑nothing thinking.SEGMENT 4: HABIT #3 PROTEIN FOR ENERGY + SATIETYLet's talk about protein, not in a bodybuilder way, but in a "support your energy" way.Protein helps keep you full, Stabilize blood sugar, Support muscle recovery, Improve mood and focus. Here are easy February protein wins:Greek yogurt, Eggs, Chicken or turkey, Beans or lentils, Cottage cheese, Tofu, Protein shakes, Tuna packets, Nuts or nut butter.Your habit for this week: Add one source of protein to at least one meal or snack each day and keep it under 30 grams per MEAL. That's it... Simple, Supportive, Doable.SEGMENT 5: HABIT #4 LISTEN TO YOUR BODY, NOT THE INTERNETThis one is big. Your body is always communicating with you, but most of us are too busy, stressed, or distracted to listen. This month, try this: Pause before you eat and ask: “What does my body need right now?”Not “What should I eat?”Not “What's the healthiest option?”Just… “What do I need?”Maybe you need something warm.Maybe you need something hydrating.Maybe you need something grounding.Maybe you need something with protein.Maybe you need something comforting, and that's okay too.Listening builds trust. And trust builds healthier habits.SEGMENT 6: HABIT #5 THE 80% FULL CHECK-IN Here's a gentle habit that helps with overeating without restriction: Pause halfway through your meal and check in with your fullness.Ask yourself:Am I still hungry?Am I satisfied?Am I eating out of habit?Am I eating because it tastes good?Am I eating because I'm distracted? You don't have to stop eating. You don't have to change anything.Just check in.Awareness IS the habit.SEGMENT 7: WEEKLY CHALLENGE “Fuel With Intention” Alright, here's your February nutrition challenge for the week.THE CHALLENGE: “Fuel With Intention”For the next 7 days, choose one of these habits:Drink one extra glass or bottle of waterAdd one fruit or vegetable to your dayAdd one source of protein to a meal or snackDo one 80% fullness check‑inPause before eating and ask, “What do I need?”Just one.Not all five. Not perfection.Choose the one that feels the most supportive right now.Nutrition doesn't have to be overwhelming. It doesn't have to be restrictive. It doesn't have to be stressful. It can be simple. It can be gentle. It can be supportive. This February, focus on fueling your body with kindness, one small habit at a time.If this episode helped you, share it with someone who's working on their health this month. And stay tuned, we've got a really neat charity event coming up in March that Velotric, an e-bike company will be sponsoring and you have a chance to win an E-bike! As always, be a kind human, let's help each-other whenever possible, like Mr Rogers said, look for the helpers, make sure when someone looks for the Helpers, they see YOU, be the change you want to see in the world and thank you thank you for sharing this time to listen to us and we will see you again soon, have a great rest of your day! This episode is part of our Client Seat series, where financial coaches get real-time financial coaching from Kelsa. It's a great opportunity to showcase what goes into a financial coaching session. If you're a financial professional, you can apply to be a guest on a future Client Seat episode.Being a financial coach doesn't mean your own money is always perfect. Different seasons of life require different systems, and sometimes what worked beautifully before stops working entirely.Michelle Kopp is a CPA and financial coach living in Guatemala. Before moving from the U.S., her money was completely under control. Then her family relocated internationally, and everything fell apart. Bills are now paid in cash. Day-to-day spending is cash. She went from total control to tracking every dollar in a Google form, which she hates doing. This week's episode is about what happens when your context changes so dramatically that you have to rebuild. Michelle needed someone else to help her see what she couldn't see on her own. That's completely normal, even for financial professionals. You'll hear how we worked through the comparison trap she'd fallen into, identified what was worth keeping from her previous approach, and created a concrete plan that gives her stability without trying to control every dollar. This is what it looks like to help someone stabilize first before trying to optimize everything at once. Needing to rebuild doesn't mean you're failing. It means your season changed.Links & Resources:How to Create Buy-in - Free WorkshopBe on a future Client Seat episodeJoin the Facebook groupMichelle's websiteKey Takeaways:When your context changes, your old system might not fit anymore. Michelle's Plan Ahead Method (now called SpendFirst™) worked perfectly in the U.S. but couldn't translate to Guatemala's cash-based economy. You're not failing if what used to work stops working.Comparison will keep you stuck. Michelle kept measuring her current spending against what she spent before the move, expecting Guatemala to be cheaper. That comparison made her feel like she was failing instead of recognizing she was rebuilding.Stabilize first, optimize later. The goal isn't to create the perfect system immediately. It's to create enough stability that you can work with what you have, then refine from there.Your effort might be scattered, not insufficient. Michelle was putting in tons of effort tracking every dollar, but that effort wasn't getting her anywhere. Sometimes you need to redirect your energy, not add more of it.Cash needs different routines than digital money. When most of your spending is cash, you can't rely on bank statements to tell you where money went. You need a withdrawal schedule that creates predictability.Even financial professionals need outside perspective. Michelle is a CPA and financial coach, but she couldn't see her own patterns clearly. Sometimes you need someone else to ask questions you can't ask yourself.Progress happens in layers. We didn't try to solve every aspect of Michelle's money in one session. We tackled the biggest chaos creators first so she could build from a stable foundation.

In this episode, I share what I wish I knew when I was starting out, the mistakes I made, and the soul-led foundations that actually moved the needle in my business. We dive into offers, soulmate clients, visibility, trust, content, healing blocks, and why your soul mission must be the foundation of your success. If your business is an extension of your soul mission, not just a way to make money, the rules are different for you. And once you understand that, everything becomes easier. This episode is your reminder that your path is valid, your way is powerful, and your success is already designed. In this Episode, you'll: Understand why $10k months feel so significant and how to release unhealthy attachment while still calling them in Learn why your offer is everything and how misaligned offers quietly block growth and income Discover how soulmate clients and soul contracts remove the need to convince or chase anyone Gain clarity on the difference between traditional business strategy and fifth-dimensional, soul-led business Learn how to communicate a tangible transformation so people instantly understand why they need your work Understand why content and value-building are essential at this stage and how trust accelerates sales Identify the visibility and worthiness blocks that commonly keep spiritual entrepreneurs under $10k months
I am so honored to have Senator John Kennedy join me today. If you know the Senator, you know he tells it exactly like it is: no filter, no teleprompter, just straight common sense. We really went there in this one, covering everything from the high-stakes military action in Venezuela to the "special kind of stupid" he sees in government bureaucracy. We took a deep dive into the reality of what's happening at our border, the "loon wing" of the Democratic party, and why he's sounding the alarm on the rise of socialism in cities like New York. But beyond the politics, the Senator shared some incredibly personal stories including how he defied orders to save pets during Hurricane Katrina and his honest assessment of meeting with Joe Biden early in his presidency. Senator Kennedy is one of a kind. He's brilliant, he's hilarious, and he reminds us all why we have to stand strong because as he says, "weakness invites the wolves. If your business feels inconsistent — leads up and down, sales unpredictable, marketing exhausting — stability is probably what you're craving most right now.In this episode of Run Your Damn Business, I talk openly about why podcasting has been the most stable business asset I've ever built — and why it works so well for small business owners who are tired of chasing content, trends, and algorithms just to stay visible. This is not an episode about becoming a podcaster for the sake of it. It's a conversation about building an asset that compounds over time, creates trust at scale, and feeds your business consistently — even when you're not posting every day.In this episode, we talk about:Why stability matters more than growth hacks at this stage of businessThe difference between content you constantly have to create and assets that keep workingWhy podcasting functions as a top-of-funnel business asset — not just contentHow podcasts quietly build trust, authority, and demand over timeWhy podcasting pairs so powerfully with an email listWhat makes podcasting especially effective for small business owners and service providersWhy this approach supports calmer, more predictable growthIf you're a woman 40+ running a small business and feeling burned out by content-heavy marketing — but still want a reliable way to attract clients and grow your revenue — this episode will help you see podcasting differently.Hit play, take what you need, and then go run your damn business.MORE FROM ME: Follow me on Instagram → @janditchfield.co RATE, REVIEW, & FOLLOW ON APPPLE PODCASTS "Jan put words to what I've been feeling about my business for years and then gave me the strategies to move it forward."
In this episode, I'm sharing the real story behind why I wrote Soulfire, what Spirit asked of me, what it took to birth it, and why this book feels bigger than anything I've ever created. If you've ever felt called to something more… If you know you're here for a soul mission but traditional paths don't fit… If you've tried following the “right” strategies and still felt misaligned… This conversation is for you. In this session, I open up about my journey as a spiritual entrepreneur, the gaps I saw in the business world for light leaders, and why Soulfire was co-created as a coded activation, not just a book. This work bridges spirituality and business, soul and strategy, inner alignment and outer success. You'll hear how Spirit led every step, why fifth-dimensional business follows different rules, and how soul alignment, not hustle, became the foundation of everything I built. This is an invitation to lead differently. To build differently. To remember why you came here. If Soulfire is calling you, trust that nudge.
If you've made a decision about your next level, your business, your identity, how you work, and instead of feeling unstoppable, you feel… off, then this episode is for you! This isn't about mindset or astrology (even though I do mention that), and it's definitely not a sign that you're being tested. This is about what actually happens in your system after a real decision, the decision to have a quantum leap and move forward...this is about the part no one prepares you for, and where most women quietly pull back. ⏱ Episode Breakdown [00:00 – 03:10] Why January is an energetic “loading screen” (and why forcing a fresh start doesn't work) [03:11 – 07:45] Snake year → Fire Horse energy: why the shift feels fast, confronting, and uncomfortable [07:46 – 12:30] The moment clarity lands, and why it feels different during a quantum leap [12:31 – 18:20] Why confidence often wobbles after the decision (not before) [18:21 – 24:10] What's actually happening in your subconscious and nervous system during this phase [24:11 – 30:40] Why fatigue, hesitation, and distraction are recalibration signals, not red flags [30:41 – 36:15] The difference between intuition and your system defaulting back to safety [36:16 – 41:00] How most women unknowingly undo their quantum leap, and how not to be one of them Next step: If you're in that in-between space and you don't want to default back to old patterns, book a Subconscious Strategy Session, and we'll see what areas you may have subconscious or energetic limitations happening and what needs to shift.
In this episode, Hemy Murugesan shares how her journey through the Isis Ka®️ Practitioner training awakened a level of soul alignment, power, and clarity she never imagined possible. Before joining the container, Hemy was already a trauma-informed spiritual coach, but something felt incomplete, like her soul was still waiting to be remembered. That call came through Goddess Isis herself… and it was undeniable. From healing deep visibility wounds, clearing past life blocks, and learning how to receive divine masculine support, Hemy's experience with the Isis Ka®️ lineage has radically transformed her relationships, business, health, and spiritual gifts. She now channels messages from Isis on the fly (even in the car or shower), offers multidimensional healing programs, and has created a clear, soul-aligned business model, guided every step of the way by the Divine Feminine.

In this episode, Dave takes a "street-smart" look at a cycle many high achievers with ADHD know all too well. Survival mode and ADHD! It's that grueling state where you're constantly reacting to fires, clawing your way to Friday, and feeling emotionally depleted at home. Dave will explore why survival mode is a nervous system response rather than a personal failure, and how to shift from chaotic reaction to intentional action. Key Highlights: Defining the Struggle: Identifying signs like constant urgency, mental exhaustion, and the "reaction vs. planning" loop. The High-Achiever Trap: Why being reliable and saying "yes" often rewards survival mode early on but leads to unsustainable burnout. Stabilize, Don't Optimize: Forget perfect routines; focus on "predictability" and small "home base" stabilizers to lower stress. Reclaiming Agency: Moving from "I have no control" to "I can influence this" through strategic delays and better boundaries. Redefining Success: Shifting your goals to match your current season of life, prioritizing sustainable energy over constant output. **Do you want to work with Dave one-on-one? High-conflict divorces thrive on chaos. In this episode of We Chat Divorce, hosts Karen Chellew and Catherine Shanahan sit down with divorce strategist and coach Courtney Harkness to explain why treating divorce like a business deal—not an emotional battleground—can dramatically shift power, protect assets, and preserve peace. Courtney, creator of the Divorce Is a Business Deal framework, shares how successful professionals can stop reacting and start leading their divorce with strategy. Drawing from her own experience co-founding a private-equity-backed company and navigating a high-conflict divorce, Courtney breaks down the three-phase approach she uses with clients: Stabilize, Strategize, Execute. You'll learn why emotional stabilization must come first, especially when dealing with narcissistic or high-conflict spouses; how reacting fuels conflict and legal costs; and why “no sudden moves” is one of the most powerful rules in divorce. The conversation also explores why rushing to hire an attorney without financial clarity often escalates conflict—and how preparation saves time, money, and long-term regret. Karen and Catherine connect Courtney's framework directly to the My Divorce Solution methodology, emphasizing the importance of verified financial data, lifestyle analysis, and scenario planning before negotiations begin. Together, they explain how clarity replaces fear, how strategy changes leverage, and why winning in divorce isn't “beating” your spouse—it's getting out with your future intact. Key Topics Covered: High-conflict divorce strategy Divorce and narcissistic dynamics Stabilize, Strategize, Execute framework Financial preparation before legal action Why reacting is costly—and preparation is powerful How to protect assets, peace, and decision-making capacity If you're navigating a high-conflict or high-stakes divorce and feel stuck in reaction mode, this episode offers a grounded, strategic path forward. Have you ever said, "I just don't feel like myself anymore" — even though your labs look normal? In this episode of the Health Fix Podcast, Dr. Jannine Krause breaks down why inflammation starts in the brain, how it drives fatigue, brain fog, cravings, hormone imbalance, and accelerated aging — and why 2026 is the year to stop suppressing symptoms and start correcting root causes. Inflammation isn't just a body problem. It's a brain health issue first. Your brain uses 20% of your daily calories, and when inflammation is present, it shifts into defensive mode, not performance mode. That's when clarity disappears, energy crashes, and nothing feels like it's working anymore.

Max talks with Dr. Catherine Cavagnaro about how aerobatic training builds safer, more confident pilots by reducing loss of control, improving stall and spin awareness, and shortening the startle response. Although many pilots associate aerobatics with airshows or extreme flying, this conversation reframes aerobatic training as a practical safety tool that directly applies to everyday general aviation operations. Catherine explains that the core value of aerobatic training lies in learning where "the edge" of aircraft control really is. Many pilots are taught to avoid stalls and spins at all costs, which can unintentionally create fear rather than understanding. Aerobatic training deliberately takes pilots past that edge in a controlled environment so they can see, feel, and understand what happens beyond it. Once pilots truly understand where that boundary lies, they are far better equipped to avoid unintentionally crossing it during normal flight. A major theme of the discussion is loss of control, which remains one of the leading causes of fatal aviation accidents. Catherine describes how many loss-of-control events are not caused by a lack of knowledge, but by startle response and improper control inputs under stress. When something unexpected happens—such as an uncommanded roll, a botched go-around, or a developing stall—pilots often freeze for several seconds or react instinctively in exactly the wrong way. Aerobatic and upset-recovery training helps shorten those "extended dumb moments" by making unusual attitudes familiar rather than frightening. Catherine shares real-world examples from her experience as a Designated Pilot Examiner. In one case, a commercial pilot applicant mishandled a power-off stall by applying aileron instead of reducing angle of attack, which aggressively drove the aircraft into a spin. The pilot then added power while still stalled, compounding the problem. Catherine explains that this reaction mirrors what has been seen in fatal airline accidents, where pilots pulled back and applied aileron during stall events instead of pushing forward. These moments highlight why understanding stalls, spins, and proper recovery techniques is essential well beyond the private pilot level. A key technical takeaway from the episode is the importance of angle of attack. Catherine emphasizes that losing directional control is a clear sign of an impending stall, and that rudder alone is often insufficient to stop a departure once it begins. Simply pushing forward on the controls—reducing angle of attack—can immediately end the event. Aerobatic training reinforces this lesson repeatedly, helping pilots build instinctive, correct responses rather than relying on rote memorization. The conversation also explores how control authority changes with airspeed. Catherine explains that pilots tend to be overly gentle on the controls when flying slowly, particularly near the ground during takeoff and landing. Ironically, that is precisely when larger, more deliberate control inputs are required. Aerobatic maneuvers such as loops, rolls, and Immelmann turns vividly demonstrate how sluggish controls become at low airspeeds and high angles of attack, making these lessons stick in a way that textbooks cannot. Max and Catherine discuss how aerobatic training is structured at her school. Rather than offering single "thrill ride" flights, Catherine teaches aerobatics as a multi-day course that includes extensive ground instruction before every flight. This ensures pilots understand exactly what will happen before experiencing it in the air. The goal is not to impress or intimidate, but to build confidence, predictability, and mastery. Students perform most of the flying themselves, which further reinforces learning and reduces anxiety. Another practical aspect of the episode focuses on managing motion sickness. Catherine shares wisdom passed down from aerobatic legend Bill Kershner, including the stages of nausea—Normal, Not So Much Fun Anymore, Sweat on Upper Lip, and the point of no return. Recognizing these stages early allows instructors to intervene before discomfort escalates. Simple strategies such as eating light meals beforehand, keeping airflow on the face, tensing abdominal muscles during high-G maneuvers, and ensuring students have their hands on the controls can make a significant difference. The discussion also touches on upset-recovery checklists used in airline training, such as "Push, Roll, Power, Stabilize." Catherine notes that while these checklists are effective, pilots must practice the full sequence under stress. Knowing only the first step—pushing forward—without following through can leave an aircraft in an equally dangerous situation. Aerobatic training provides the repetition needed to execute these steps smoothly and correctly when it matters most. Ultimately, the episode makes a compelling case that aerobatic training is not about becoming an aerobatic pilot. It is about becoming a better, safer pilot in any airplane. By replacing fear of stalls and spins with understanding and respect, aerobatic training equips pilots with a deeper mental and physical toolkit. Whether flying a simple trainer or a high-performance aircraft, pilots who understand the edge—and have practiced operating near it—are better prepared to keep themselves and their passengers safe. First-Half Firepower, Then Silence Monday in Detroit arrived without the noise. The Detroit Lions fell to the Rams on Sunday, and the tape split in two. The first half looked like the team that bullied the NFL last year. Jared Goff was sharp. Amon-Ra St. Brown and Jameson Williams found space. The blocking held up. Aidan Hutchinson stole a possession with an interception. Even with dodgy officiating, the Lions pushed to a 24-14 lead. A late Rams field goal trimmed it before the break, but the Detroit Lions still felt in control. That control vanished after halftime. Three possessions. Nine plays. Three three-and-outs. With a penalty factored in, the Lions finished the third quarter at minus-four yards on those drives. The Rams defense surged. The run game stalled. Jameer Gibbs never found daylight and bounced runs into trouble. Tristan Colon struggled at left guard. The call is clear: the line needs Christian Mahogany back. When you cannot protect Goff or run with any reliability, good NFL teams bury you. The Rams did. Edges Exposed, Back End Missing Matthew Stafford ignited in the second half. Los Angeles attacked the Lions where they are weakest right now, at cornerback and safety. The Blake Corum touchdown came when Rock Ya-Sin crashed too hard inside, surrendering the edge. That was emblematic. Missed assignments piled up. Beyond Hutchinson's takeaway, the pass rush did not change the math. The Rams looked like the number one seed, because they played like it. The absences hurt. The defense is built for back-end playmakers to close windows and erase mistakes. Kirby Joseph and Brian Branch were not out there. Eric Hallett was thrust into his first meaningful NFL minutes and battled, but he is not an All-Pro. The result was a secondary asked to survive on an island. It did not. Dan Campbell's Reality Check Dan Campbell captured the mood postgame. The Lions saw the top of the NFC and are not there right now. That tracks with this season's pattern. At times, Detroit looks like a contender. Last week against Dallas, the ceiling flashed. At other times, like the third quarter Sunday, the floor drops out. Consistency has not arrived, and the margin for error has vanished. Three Games Left, Narrow Path There are three games left. Win all three and the Detroit Lions should reach the postseason. They can do it. Pittsburgh is on the slate and should be beatable, but nothing is guaranteed with this form. The blueprint is simple. Stabilize left guard. Get healthier on the back end. Let Goff, St. Brown, and J Mo dictate tempo early and often. Let Hutchinson's playmaking spark the rush. The Detroit Lions Podcast Daily framed it well: macro truths first, details to follow. The truth is blunt. The Rams were better. Detroit must turn flashes into four quarters, or January will slip away. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rKFSx_eFA0E #detroitlions #lions #detroitlionspodcast #aidanhutchinson #jaredgoff #amon-rast.brown #jamesonwilliams #jameergibbs #tristancolon #christianmahogany #rockya-sin #matthewstafford #blakecorumtouchdown Learn more about your ad choices. 7. Schleicher's Dismissal and Hindenburg's Manipulation. Timothy Ryback discusses how on January 28, 1933, Chancellor Schleicher requested six months of martial law from Hindenburg to allow the politically deteriorating Nazi party to stabilize and restore democracy. Hindenburg, angered by Schleicher trying to dictate terms and preempting the decision in a newspaper, dismissed him. Schleicher immediately attempted a coup by ordering Hammerstein, head of the Reichswehr, to intervene. Hindenburg, who proved to be stubborn and manipulative, blocked the coup and told Hammerstein to return to the garrison. Hindenburg then appointed Blomberg as the new Minister of Defense. Exhausted at age 84, Hindenburg ultimately made the "unpleasant task" of appointing Hitler Chancellor. 1933 VON PAPPEN
