In this episode, Roxanne Emmerich discusses how to use weekly video blog emails to create a relationship with your customers and expand your business. Key Takeaways! Emmerich utilizes a strategy where she does a weekly video blog email where she reaches out to her customers, creates relationships, and makes sales in a way where she is presented as a real person who wants to get to know her clients. (1:12) With this strategy, you want to: (1:43) Start off with a limbic message, so that you can get them emotionally connected to you. Introduce what you will be teaching them in that video. Bring up the challenges that occur in order to accomplish what you are trying to teach them. At the end of this list, you need to reiterate that everyone has these challenges and they aren't the only ones facing theses challenges. Bring up what isn't going to work. You need to show them that the simple solution isn't always the right one. Give them the steps on how to accomplish the task the right way. Explain what you will be talking about the next week, to keep them coming back. Emmerich will take just a few topics and break them down into multiple points that she can use for each video so that she can really stretch out her content and be very detailed. She then will sit down and record all of these videos in a matter of days so that she isn't working on them year-round, saving her time and money. (5:49) If you are wanting to start with this strategy, she suggests that you start off by helping your clients fix their issues with their biggest “pain points,” or the things that cause them the most stress and trouble.
