When we decenter our need to be heard, we create room for inner healing and spiritual transformation to unfold in those we love. David also discusses “decentering God”—not removing God, but moving our limited ideas of God out of the way so we can perceive God more and more accurately. Here we can see Trinity in a perichoretic dance—space at the center, room for wonder, union, and identity in Christ that doesn’t crowd out others. Also discussed is “recentering death” by facing death honestly. When we decenter our denial, we live truer, love stronger, and bless the generations. Two Authors Walk Into A Deadline And Try Not To CryA bestseller tag is nice, but the real story is everything it took to get there—and what we learned about authentic leadership by trying to write it down. We pulled back the curtain on our launch week for The Authenticity Upgrade: Rebooting Leadership for Real Humans and discovered that writing is less about perfect sentences and more about radical empathy for a reader who can't talk back.
