Kerry dives in with Dudley Baker on gold, silver, and the hidden forces moving the metals market. Prices have dipped, but Baker warns the bigger trend is far from over — smaller miners are lagging, but history shows metals often roar back after pullbacks. He breaks down stock warrants, why expiration and exercise prices matter, and highlights explosive opportunities in mining and rare earths. With 750–800 companies in their database, savvy investors can uncover hidden winners before the crowd catches on. Tech stocks are slipping, markets are shaky, and uncertainty is rising — Baker says diversification isn't optional, it's survival. The next few months could hand investors major gains, but only if they're ready. This week on Fully Booked, we speak with Tyler Wagner, founder of Authors Unite, about what it really takes to turn a book into a bestseller. Wagner walks us through the systems and strategies he uses to help thousands of authors hit major bestseller lists on Amazon, USA Today, and more. He explains how these campaigns can deliver a return on investment by elevating a book's visibility and positioning the author as a trusted expert. For this reason, he primarily works with non-fiction clients such as entrepreneurs and business leaders who are looking to use their books to build personal brands and generate leads for other services. While Wagner's core expertise centers on non-fiction, the conversation also touches on how fiction authors can adapt aspects of these strategies to build momentum across their own catalogs. He shares insights on what it takes to get a book on major lists like Amazon and USA Today, how packaging and positioning play a critical role, and why even fiction authors need to think in terms of long-term audience building. For any author curious about how bestseller campaigns work and who they work for best, this episode offers a candid behind-the-scenes look at the business of book promotion. The Writing Community Chat Show is proud to bring you insights from the writers dominating the charts. We recently sat down with Pip Landers-Letts, the winner of the prestigious 2025 Kindle Storyteller Award, to discuss her incredible journey from a 15-year career in retail banking to winning one of the UK's biggest literary prizes. The £20,000 Leap of Faith. For fifteen years, Pip Landers-Letts navigated the structured world of retail banking. But underneath the suits and spreadsheets, a powerful story was waiting to be told. Pip's shift from the stability of a corporate career to the uncertainty of a full-time author is the epitome of the creative leap many writers dream of—and fear.In our interview, Pip shared the pivotal decision to step away from the bank, admitting she didn't know who she was without that career. Writing, however, quickly became the spark she needed.“I owed it to myself to invest in the thing that brought me back to life.”This commitment to her craft—spending nine months meticulously rewriting and learning the rules after a fast first draft—is a vital lesson for anyone considering the pivot to professional writing.Choosing Indie: The Power of Creative Control.Pip's success story isn't just about winning an award; it's a monumental win for self-publishing. She made a conscious decision to forego the traditional route, choosing instead to publish independently via Kindle Direct Publishing (KDP).For Pip, this choice was essential for maintaining creative control and ensuring authentic representation. Her book, Pyg, is a queer retelling of George Bernard Shaw's Pygmalion. Having grown up feeling a “drought of sapphic representation in mainstream media,” self-publishing provided the direct platform she needed to share nuanced, relatable stories without waiting for permission from traditional “gatekeepers.” This path champions the idea that diverse voices don't need validation from the establishment to find their audience.Pyg and the Art of Reclaiming Your Life. The winning novel, Pyg, is a high-heeled burst of chaos and transformation. Inspired partly by her own life milestone and the feeling of being lost when you're supposed to have it figured out, Pip describes the book as a story about “getting a grip of your life—letting go of the bad stuff to create space for the good.” It explores themes of kindness, compassion, and radical self-acceptance.Pip credits the success of Pyg partly to the lessons learned while writing her first novel, where she realized the necessity of mastering the craft. The resulting work captivated readers and judges alike, leading to the unprecedented success of winning the £20,000 prize.Buy PYG here. The Validation of a Lifetime. The £20,000 Kindle Storyteller Award celebrates the best self-published book of the year, blending bestseller rankings and reader reviews with the opinions of a distinguished judging panel. For Pip, the award served as a powerful antidote to a common affliction: imposter syndrome.“Winning the Kindle Storyteller Award has given me a huge shot of validation... What an honour to be recognised for the thing I love doing the most—writing!”The prize money itself is earmarked as a crucial investment in her burgeoning writing career, securing her place in the industry she was always meant to join. Her story proves that investing in yourself, trusting your voice, and choosing the path of creative independence can lead to the highest level of industry recognition.Watch or Listen to the Full Interview!Don't miss the full conversation with Pip Landers-Letts on her award, her book, and her tips for aspiring authors. The Writing Community Chat Show is ranked in the top 10 writing podcasts in the UK, bringing you over 360 interviews with bestsellers, celebrities, and indie authors.Watch the full interview on our YouTube channel:Podcast LinkListen to the full audio episode wherever you get your podcasts:Listen on Spreaker (The Writing Community Chat Show Podcast)Join our brand new community on our Stanstore! Two Authors Walk Into A Deadline And Try Not To CryA bestseller tag is nice, but the real story is everything it took to get there—and what we learned about authentic leadership by trying to write it down. We pulled back the curtain on our launch week for The Authenticity Upgrade: Rebooting Leadership for Real Humans and discovered that writing is less about perfect sentences and more about radical empathy for a reader who can't talk back. Without a room to read, we had to anticipate confusion, trim complexity, and build a path that invites people to keep going. We also double-clicked on our core belief: self-leadership comes before team, culture, and results. People often look to fix the external—bosses, processes, metrics—but transformation begins when you reclaim the energy lost to performing. As we threaded self-awareness, emotional literacy, and values clarity into a single arc, the through line became unmistakable: authenticity frees capacity, and that capacity is what makes collaboration, influence, and leadership sustainable. That clarity didn't arrive quietly. Co-writing meant letting go when the words were right but not “ours,” rebuilding an “easy” chapter from scratch, and managing gremlins that insisted nothing was ready.Beyond the page, we talk candidly about the logistics most authors underestimate: editing sprints, cover design, metadata, a 60-plus-page companion workbook, and the vulnerable act of promotion. We don't chase rankings for ego's sake; we play the platform game so the people who need this work can find it. From tech glitches to mailing list mishaps, we share the stumbles and the systems that ultimately worked. If you're curious about how empathetic writing overlaps with modern leadership—or you're facing a creative leap and want a field report from the edge—this one's for you.If the conversation resonates, grab the book, download the workbook, and leave a quick review to help others discover it. Subscribe for more real talk on authenticity, leadership, and the messy, meaningful work of being human at work.Grab your copy here.
God’s love heals the deepest places. Discover identity in Christ, inner healing, and how to hear God without fear. What if disruption is actually an invitation from Love to begin again? In this heartfelt conversation, Catherine Toon and author Felicia Murrell explore how God’s love restores our true identity, calms our nervous system, and leads us into spiritual healing and wholeness. You’ll learn practical ways to move from self-judgment to compassion, from suspicion to curiosity, and from striving to experiencing God in the present moment. Felicia shares rich wisdom on listening to your body (“I am your body, and I want you to know…”) and how kindness helps us drop from fight/flight into peace. Together we unpack living from the Tree of Life instead of the knowledge of good and evil, holding both our ontological oneness and our beautiful differences—without diminishing anyone. Scripture threads include: Psalm 139 (God’s intimate design), Zephaniah 3:17 (Love sings over you), Luke 15 (coming to ourselves and turning toward home), and Ephesians 2:10 (God’s workmanship—His poem). The takeaway: when the “only way forward is toward,” we can move toward God, toward each other, and even toward our own hearts with grace. Practical application: Try Felicia’s prompt: “I am your body, and I want you to know…”—write unedited for 5 minutes. Notice what Love highlights. Ask: “Holy Spirit, what’s the most loving thing I can do right now?” This simple shift nurtures Christian identity, deepens spiritual transformation, and helps you hear God’s voice in everyday life. The conversation frames the government shutdown as a sign of deepening dysfunction and expanding surveillance that threatens personal freedoms, leading into a broader discussion on crisis preparedness, global tensions, and even relocating to places like Puerto Rico for tax advantages and strategic safety despite natural-disaster risks. Kerry and Lobo also break down the strength in gold and silver—steady bullion, rising mining stocks, and silver pushing toward a firmer price base—while warning against buying at peaks and pointing to opportunities where fundamentals are stronger than current prices. They close by examining global power shifts, from China's naval rise to de-globalization and de-dollarization, arguing that market turbulence ahead could offer the best openings for disciplined investors. In Koelen bloede. Kom kerst vieren in Kasteel De Haar.

Romance fiction is dominating the chart. It's also redefining how stories are told and sold.In this episode, I sit down with author and industry veteran Noel Stark to talk about why happy endings aren't clichés. They're promises. We dig into how a genre once brushed off as “women's fiction” built one of publishing's most loyal and profitable audiences.Noelle takes us from the secret paperbacks she once hid in her backpack to the binge that launched her writing career. Along the way, she breaks down what makes romance work: authentic voice, emotional honesty, and that feeling of safety that keeps readers coming back for more.We also talk shop: how the “happily ever after” or “happy for now” acts as a contract with the reader, what happens when writers break that trust, and how gatekeepers like Harlequin shaped the genre's evolution. Noelle shares her own journey through Pitch Wars, agent rejections, the long wait on submissions, and finally landing her first book deal. It's a reminder that persistence and mentorship can change everything. We also compare traditional and indie publishing, discuss how to handle your own marketing, when to hire a publicist, and why podcasts and newsletters still move the needle. If you love romance, storytelling, or the business side of publishing, this episode is full of hard-earned lessons, humor, and practical takeaways. You can connect with Noel through her website here.Have a comment?

Kerry Lutz and John Rubino break down the cracks appearing in the economy — and they aren't small. Layoffs are rising, consumer debt is hitting record highs, and defaults are climbing. Even cardboard box demand is falling, a subtle signal that spending is slowing. Petroleum consumption is down, partially due to the rise of electric vehicles, which is also impacting jobs in energy sectors. Car prices remain sky-high, leaving many buyers on the sidelines. Across the board, the economy is showing stress. In Las Vegas, the focus on wealthy visitors has inflated prices for everyday services, leaving the city emptier than you might expect, even on weekends. Meanwhile, the Southwest faces a worsening water crisis, which could spark conflicts between urban areas and agriculture. Rubino and Lutz also explore the volatility in AI stocks, likening the scene to the dot-com bubble, and discuss the urgency of resolving the ongoing government shutdown. The takeaway is clear: the signs of a slowdown — and a potential recession — are everywhere. Gold and silver prices don't move the way they should — and that's no accident. Kerry Lutz and Robert Moriarty break down how market manipulation is distorting precious metals, driving volatility, and signaling deeper instability across the financial system. They warn that Bitcoin could be the next major victim of speculation and leverage, especially as high premiums and overheated markets may indicate a looming peak. Physical gold and silver, not paper claims or risky crypto platforms, remain the safest protection against chaos. The discussion also spans economic forecasts, geopolitical uncertainty, and the danger of ignoring past financial mistakes. Lutz and Moriarty call out Big Tech suppression, pharma influence, and misleading AI-generated content — all shaping a future where decentralization and real assets matter more than ever. From brokering peace between Cambodia and Thailand to strengthening U.S.-Asian ties, Trump's moves may be shifting influence away from China. Kerry Lutz and Michael discussed the recent volatility in oil markets, where a sharp drop in crude oil from $65.77 to $55.96 per barrel has given way to a bullish turnaround. Michael explained how technical analysis often provides earlier signals than fundamentals and highlighted the impact of heating oil and unleaded gasoline on crude prices. He pointed to bullish reversals in RBOB gasoline and Brent crude after breaking above $61.50, while also noting a shift in natural gas from a bearish trend to a bullish correction with a target of $365.80. The conversation expanded to include a bearish setup in the S&P 500 amid a possible bullish pullback and how AI-driven energy demand could boost natural gas markets. Michael wrapped up by emphasizing the value of watching market formations and gaps, offering his analytical expertise for deeper insights.
