“Twisted Light” es el título con el que se presentaba, en portada, la revista científica Science en su número del 29 de junio de 2019. Tras ese título, que apenas sabemos traducir como “luz girada” o “retorcida”, se esconde una novedosa propiedad que revela como un pulso de luz se puede mover por el espacio girando, como una especie de torbellino que se retuerce y varía a medida que avanza por el espacio. La firmante principal del artículo es la estudiante de doctorado Laura Rego, física, integrante del Grupo de Investigación en Aplicaciones del Láser y Fotónica en el Departamento de Física Aplicada de la Universidad de Salamanca. Hoy, Laura Rego cuenta en “Hablando con Científicos” cómo es esa novedosa propiedad de la luz y nos ofrece sus impresiones como estudiante de doctorado.
